Years ago I had no clue what coding really was and once I got a bit more of an idea of it I knew it was something I wanted to learn and understand. About 2 years ago I came across a SheCodes ad offering a free coding class and I checked it out to see what coding was really about. I was very interested after the webinar lesson but didn't have the time to commit to it at that time because of college classes but now that I've graduated I knew this summer I had to take the SheCodes course. The lessons were comprehensive and fun and really made me feel like I had a special talent lol. I would totally recommend SheCodes to anyone who has no clue what coding is but would like to learn. Now I can't look at any webpage the same without thinking "I could make a button like that." and opening 'inspect' on every page and feeling amazed that I can understand what I'm looking at. SheCodes is a 10 out of 10!🤩
This section of the course was the most challenging one yet but React is a fun syntax to learn nevertheless and Matt is simply amazing - I hope he continues to teach more coding workshops because this is his calling.
I thought the lessons would be difficult to understand and everything would be frustrating but.. I was wrong! Perfect first step into learning how to code.

SheCodes Basic wasn't always easy, but the easy access to support, the well-made videos, the challenges/homework, and flexible yet straightforward structure with deadlines made it doable. I struggle with self-learning, but this structure was a good educational setup with autonomy. It was fun also. I highly recommend SheCodes!!
The React Add-on project was a great way to learn how to 1) fetch data from multiple APIs and render it in the same application and 2) go through the process of trial-and-error-ing different public APIs that best suit your application.

The plus workshop really improved my coding skills! Learning to code with SheCodes has been both exciting and very educational. When I started learning WordPress, I was very nervous because I was branching into a new field, from a completely different field, Linguistics. The course is helpful - but depends on the student. After a while the format becomes repetitive and a bit boring - not the content but the format in which the content is learned. But, recommended to begin exploring and learning about web development.

Very important moment happened during learning .There was challenge and when I started to looking for solution ,I just became numb.This happened for the first time to me ,sometimes I get angry that it doesn't work out, sometimes I'm glad when everything works as it should.And that time there was emptiness, no ideas where to start, NOTHING at all.I sat down at the computer for half a day, looked at it, got up and cried, so passed half of my day😅.Than I pull myself together, found words of support and here I continue my path further. Understanding how React works, especially its component system, was a real challenge for me. Thankfully, with the fantastic guidance from Matt, I managed to grasp everything and create my own Weather Forecast, which I'm incredibly proud of! SheCodes was my first try at learning to code and I loved it! If I hadn't gone to their free seminar online I never would have discovered my love for coding and computer science. In this course, I've learned the workflow of frontend development and how to utilize APIs, work with Git, and host websites and many other topics. It was so fascinating to work on the weather app project, although it was pretty challenging to make all the features work using the real data. I am so glad that I have finished my project and I am looking forward to learning more.
Matt is an awesome instructor, he teaches each concept very clearly. The lessons are well structured. The mini challenges and the weekly projects really help in applying and better understanding the knowledge learnt from the lessons. There's also a technical team that is always ready to help with any technical questions one may have.
This project was definitely a challenge for me, but it was a good challenge. I had to step away from the workshop for a while due to personal reasons and ended up restarting the project once. However, the skills and tools I gained from the previous workshops as well as the easy to follow video lessons really helped me get back on track and complete the workshop without too many frustrations. Overall, I learned a lot through this workshop, and it was also fun to complete.
I missed the Add-on lessons and decided to start over again from the basics, as always there is something new to learn different from what the main course has to offer. Great job👍SheCodes team.
I did the basic program to see if i wanted to continue learning about programming. I enjoyed how you have to do challenges that set you up for your weekly homework assignments. I enjoyed everything about SheCodes and the challenges I had to learn to overcome. I enjoyed knowing there's a whole community to be able to rely on if I couldn't figure it out on my own. I plan on doing the SheCodes Max program next
