I have always wanted to start my career in tech. But as someone who always worked as an office assistant, it was hard to move into that field. This course allowed me to learn and gain experience in tech. Hopefully, by the end of this, I will be able to step out of being an assistant and become something I want to be and do something I enjoy.
I really like how Matt explains everything in an easy way and also lets you know the most common mistakes to watch out for. As well as give us examples and tools to find solutions online. I've been learning a lot!

Very good and intensive course on building responsive websites. Great experience on how to work with all the aspects of HTML and CSS, Bootstrap and other web development tools. I have learned a lot of new skills. Perfect example how a web developer job could look like for a agency or small business.

I started the course without knowing anything about programming, and during these weeks, I successfully coded and completed my projects. Having completed the SheCodes Basics program, I was initially apprehensive about whether I would be able to keep up with the curriculum as it involved a new programming language (Javascript). However, from day one, Matt's lessons were comprehensive, the community was supportive. As I said in the previous testimonial I gave on completing the Basics, what I appreciated most about the SheCodes was the emphasis on hands-on, project-based learning. Instead of just reading about coding concepts in a textbook or watching lectures, we were actually coding from day one. Not only did this help solidify the concepts we were learning, but it also made the learning process more enjoyable and engaging. It's undeniable that there were hard times but going through the videos and working on the weekly projects helped me get better at it. I spent weeks trying to learn HTML, CSS, and Java script. Matt explained it clearly in 3 days. I learned how to implement new design ideas and use basic functions. I am extremely impressed by this workshop. Since the workshop is go at your own pace, I completed the entire workshop in 3 days time and built a basic functional website that is appealing. Thank you!

Within 3 weeks with SheCodes, I've learnt how to do a landing page that I'm proud of. I can say that SheCodes helped with my confidence and self-esteem in this last few weeks. Matt is an absolutely amazing teacher, explaining everything step-by-step so we don't get lost and the Slack team always helps if you don't know how to fix even a minimal thing on your code. This workshop is incredible!
I didn't start off as a complete beginner but I learned so much. I was able to expand upon what I already knew as well as add some new skills to my skill set. The workshop was fun and really challenged me. I loved it!
Learning React has been one of the biggest challenges in this code journey. It really helps structuring several pieces of JavaScript with components. Although it was complicated to understand at first, it is something very powerful to acquire in order to simplify and divide code to build bigger and sophisticated web applications.
i have learnt alot from this programme, when i started i had little knowledge on developing web pages, now i am competing in the challenges which helps in practicing my coding. The homework and challenges really pushed me to research and implement new concepts.

SheCodes Basics Add On taught me new skills while practicing skills I learned in the Basics workshop, and helped me to apply them in an additional project. I felt much more confident building this project than the last and am excited to keep practicing while expanding my skill set.
Learning how to code was the best decision I chose. I took a gap year this year to decide what I really want to do has my career. I enrolled in this workshop to learn new things and figure out if I'm really good at this. My new dream job is to become a woman in stem and face the challenges in coding:)

I started SheCodes to improve my knowledge in HTML and CSS and to learn JavaScript. SheCodes basics has been easy to follow and I learned new terms. The material was easy to follow and understand.
The course was easy to follow and it was a fun journey. In a few weeks I learned a lot!
There were so many things that I wished would have been different, that it would take me a really long time to mention them all. Most importantly: I really thing the videos should be revised. There are things that are outdated (like using clearfix) and no longer in use, tools that now have different versions (like bootstrap and netlify) which makes it harder to follow through the videos. But the lowest point is the lack of proper feedback on homework and (even more shocking for me) the final projects. It's "your solution works" kind of feedback. Personally, as someone who is learning to code, it's not *just* about the code working, I could really use feedback on how I could write it more clearly, etc. Otherwise I could just use an html/css/js validator and get pretty much the same answer. It's really a shame and I hope it changes in the future, because otherwise what's the difference between doing this or a full curse on udemy that costs 15€? One really wonders. Also bear in mind that unless you have nothing else going on in your life, 5 days a week is not enough to complete the week.

Matt Delac makes learning code easy, I had all the tools I needed to succeed quickly which allowed me to learn at my own pace. I had the SheCodes community supporting me, and AI Athena to fix some of my code along the way. Highly recommend.

I was looking for another opportunity to find what I want to do with my life, so I took up the challenge of coding, something that I have never dipped my feet into. I am so glad I signed up for this course! I have learned so much and feel so proud of what I have so far accomplished, whether small or large. The instruction was so detailed that even an absolute beginner like me understood every single thing. I highly recommend taking this course, even if it is not career-changing. Getting to know the basics of coding in today's society is a good skill to acquire because almost everything revolves around the internet (therefore coding). This course is truly something that should not be missed!

I just took SheCodes Plus after finishing Basic and I'd say it was great learning about APIs and how to commit changes and host my app on a live site. The course is long but for good reason! I really enjoyed this workshop, it give me a different perspective on coding I've never had before (and I've worked for over 8 years in the SaaS industry 😬 but in the Customer Success department). Also, I liked the way Matt explains, he makes it sound easy and because of that good explanation, it's easy to applicate what you learn.

I've always been interested in coding but to be honest, it was quite intimidating for me; because I would look at codes and have absolutely no idea what that was. I didn't look at it like a different language, which it actually is instead, I used to think that I'm just not smart enough to understand it. Coding in SheCodes Plus was a new experience! I enjoyed creating and learning JavaScript and understanding how APIs really integrate in different applications. I faced some difficulties with bugs and language continuity in JavaScript in HTML, but I overcame them with patience and persistence since that just seems to come with the territory. Can't wait to learn more!

I had a great experience with SheCodes. I have learned a lot of new things. I enjoyed the setup of the lectures. I liked that after you watch the lectures there are also notes to look at and reference websites to go to for further information. The challenges help apply what you have learned so that you do not forget what you just learned after you watch the lectures. After this wonderful experience I do see myself taking another workshop.

I am truly amazed at how quickly I was able to learn all of these javascript functions. I knew I was really catching on during the final project when I could pause the video, work ahead, and then watch to be sure I had coded that section correctly. I am so grateful that SheCodes is set up in such realistic and manageable sections.
The style of teaching is great where you learn the concepts, then put them to use in your own project - a good way to put what you've learnt to the test.
