When I decided to transition into tech, I had no idea where to even begin. I didn't know how vast the field was. Im thankful for Matt and his team for creating this workshop. Very easy and fun to interact with, especially for those who didn't have any development experience (like myself). This workshop definitely gives you an idea of what to expect, the very basics of front/back end development. I love the message behind the workshop! This was a fun journey, even though I had to stop a couple of times. However, the explanation was so great, that once I picked up where I left off, it was like I never stopped. The knowledge was wired into my brain!! Thank you guys again, this was really fun! For all those who are hesitant, this is the sign for you to sign up! You wont regret it !!!

I love how the lessons were broken down for a total beginner. The sequence of skills and tasks were logical and accessible. I also appreciated the tips on best resources to problem-solve. There is also some flexibility with the deadlines which I definitely needed. All in all, I would highly recommend SheCodes!

I have always been interested in learning to code, however I never thought it was something I could do because I don't have a masters in computer science. Taking the SheCodes course has helped me learn and understand the basics of coding. I was scrolling through Instagram one day, and came across SheCodes 1 hour intro to coding, as soon as I finished the free intro I signed up for the basics course just to see if I would like it. Half way through the basics course, I decided I wanted to learn more, so I signed up for the plus course. It's really nice having the SheCodes slack community to help when you get stuck, or frustrated. It also helped keep me motivated. I love that there are deadlines, and homework, because it helps me set a schedule for myself. Rather than it being at your own pace, because then I'd never get around to actually doing it.
I have to say that these past 3 weeks were really fun and I learnt a lot. What surprised me the most is that the course was not only really easy to understand but the exercises were really practical (and it had solution to it which made it even more awesome). I am really glad that I was given the chance to learn through SheCodes. The course really inspires me to learn more about coding. Love it!
I was always interested in coding, but I never found a good place to learn it. Until I discovered SheCodes! I enjoyed my workshop and will do some more in the future. I loved the creative freedom with my final project and took pleasure in figuring out how to solve some of the problems that came up. I've loved developing this responsive website from scratch with Matt. I've learnt more about SEO than I thought I ever would, discovered how much easier Bootstrap can make my life and I'm happy with the website I've learned to create. Can't wait to learn React next!
Learning React was a journey, not always easy but very satisfying once things started working. I loved my journey with SheCodes, now that I completed all the workshops I can say with certainty that it is a wonderful bootscamp for anyone who might be a little scared and see code as daunting. It offers not only easy to follow classes, that allow us to make our own hours and workaround difficult schedules as it offers a great and supportive community, starting by our instructor Matt, all of the awesome support team as well as all the students! I loved it! It was so satisfying to figure things out for myself. The instructor doesn't just give you the answers, he teaches you techniques and allows you to make your own solutions.
I personally loved this program. I wanted a chance to understand the basic tools of coding in hopes of pursuing my dream job of being a software engineer. This program did exactly that, I was blown away with how much I was able to learn in such a short amount of time. I am very grateful for how the course was directed by Matt Delac, he gave me the tools and resources to help me succeed. Thanks to SheCodes, I learned how to make a website responsive for all devices. This course make the whole process of building responsive website seem so intuitive and simple. I loved all the tutorials of this course just like the previous SheCodes courses. I feel more confident as I learned this important skill with SheCodes and I built a very nice portfolio so easily as my final project. so I put all my projects in my portfolio to showcase them all at once.
SheCodes Basics was a great start to coding. I love how the lessons are broken down into bite size video sessions, followed by a challenge which allows you to better understand whether or not you understand everything before moving on. I highly recommend the program!

I always loved coding and regrated never dropping out computer science back in Uni. I decided to try out SheCodes Plus since I had such a great experience with lessons and the support system in SheCodes Basic. I have to admit this workshop was very changeling as it goes more in-depth in JS and html. Was difficult in balancing a full-time job & these lessons, but it is so rewarding and proud to say I made it!!
I fell in love with learning to code back in the Basics course and took the plunge to further my knowledge. While I found it more of a challenge this round, I'm super proud of myself to continue my journey and learn more in-depth ways to program using HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I definitely plan on creating more projects and continuing to learn new skills with SheCodes!
I truly loved this workshop! I started this workshop because I've always been curious about coding and wanted to learn something new. After completing the 3 week intro workshop I can honestly say I was genuinely impressed. The lessons were clear and easy to understand. The challenge assignments and homework were carefully crafted to optimize learning and foster critical thinking skills. Additionally, help was constantly available via the Slack platform and the SheCodes team responded to questions quickly. This course does take time to complete, but it is entirely possible to complete it with a full time work load (for reference I am a full time grad student and work part-time). I can't wait to sign up for the next workshop and continue to learn with SheCodes!

I felt very accomplished with what I was able to create, and I'm eager to learn even more in the upcoming workshops. I've even been able to use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in new projects at my current job thanks to this course! The video format was very helpful because I was able to go back and re-watch explanations or go back to different lessons to freshen up my understanding of different concepts. During the first week i wanted to quit, so many new things to learn and i made so many mistakes :(( But after i got the grip of it i love it! SheCodes is my first step into learning about code. I enjoy the set up, its easy to understand but still offers a challenge when it comes to finding solutions. I am currently working in healthcare but I would like to eventually step out of the field. I love that I can do SheCodes from home on my free time since I do work full-time, and going back to school isn't in my budget at the moment so SheCodes is an affordable option for me to learn.

When I started SheCodes Plus I was about to start a new job at a large company as a UX designer where I would be working with developers on the designs I made for mobile apps and websites. I wanted to be able to speak their language by learning how to code. SheCodes Plus really helped me transition into my new role, even just by teaching me terminology like "Calling an API" (and knowing how to do it in Javascript!) or being able to read code when I would inspect a page on our company site for things I needed to reference. It gave me a lot more confidence in my skills - especially with being the "new girl" on the team. SheCodes Plus really focuses on Javascript which I found to be the trickiest of the three coding languages (HTML, CSS, and Javascript - I'm very comfortable with CSS now lol). Overtime I started to get the hang of it especially when we got to the Vanilla Javascript stuff. I love how Matt teaches and everything is so well structured its easy to follow along. The community is great, too, because they are so fast to get back to you when you have an issue and help you get through it (This is super handy for Javascript btw!). I cannot wait to jump into Responsive! I wasn't sure if I was going to do the React course at first, but Matt kept saying that things get a lot more straightforward when we get to React, so I will now be doing that one, too, and finish off all the courses! Thanks so much for all you do Matt, team, and SheCodes! This is a fun course!

I really enjoyed the classes Matt has given in SheCodes. It was clear and easy to follow. I love the examples he gives to be able to relate to the study. And the initiative to create SheCodes Radio together with other SheCodes students is so nice! Feel good to be part of a community!

I am currently within the HR career path. However, I have always been curious about coding. I heard about SheCodes last year, and I decided 2022 was going to be my year to EMBARK on this coding journey. The main aspect I was interested in with coding was web design. 👩🏽💻I enjoyed learning HTML, CSS, and JS. I did not expect to learn as much as I did in this coding basics class. All the lessons are ordered in a way for easy learning and comprehension. Matt is an amazing teacher. With each homework assignment and project, you get to test your knowledge! I was hesitant to learn this on my own- however with the support of the SheCodes squad/other learners, I felt empowered that if I didn't understand- I could reach out on the real-time Slack chat. My final project reflects my love for baking! I tried to make it simple yet modern. There are still some concepts I would love to learn in order to implement for further development of my web design skills! I'm not sure what the future is for my coding journey as of now. When I joined SheCodes, I had zero coding experience, and Matt made coding so easy to learn. I love the way the lessons are divided into short videos, and they give a new activity in almost every lesson to put into practice what has been learned and makes it easier to memorize the information. I'm very proud of everything I've learned so far. And I can't wait to learn more.
I love the pace of the classes and how the challenges build with each lesson. The final assignment really pulls together all of the lessons and helps with repetition of content. I feel really positive about learning to code and I hope many other women join.

Building the Weather App was such a fun experience and it really taught me a lot about my abilities and was a great learning experience at filling in the gaps. I loved how simple and engaging the course was structured! At first, I was intimidated by learning how to code, but being able to understand the logic behind and go through the challenges made me see how amazing coding is. It really hooked me!
Love how simple and user friendly the SheCodes website is. Also found the cheat sheets/resources to be extremely helpful - especially the gradients and palettes. I didn't rate SheCodes 5 stars because I feel that the lessons are taught too quickly. Perhaps it's my type of learning preference, however I believe more practice between lessons would be beneficial.
Absolutely loved it. Although enrolled in a full time university course, it was very possible to conclude the course. It's well structured, videos are not overwhelmingly long, the topics are broken down in a logic manner and it teaches you how to think about coding.
This was my third SheCodes workshop, and I loved it! The final project we were learning to build was so much fun and so useful. I come out of this journey, not only with knowledge on how to make a website responsive but also with a portfolio I can update and use to share my work!
SheCodes Basics was a lovely way to be introduced into the world of coding. The video tutorials were incredibly easy to follow, and you're also given the source code so you don't have to worry about frantically taking notes. The Challenges along the way ensured that you understood the material and served as a useful checkpoint. I genuinely enjoyed my first coding experience!
I had had ZERO experience with coding before I had the opportunity to do the SheCodes workshop and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. The way Matt explains it in the videos is really comprehendable for everyone. I myself am just a musician but was capable of learning something so much different and I love it. I'm really considering buying the next course! Although for a non-working student it might be a bit tough haha

I was hesitant at first cause coding is more like a man-relating thing and it seemed to be difficult to learn. But SheCodes courses are very easy to understand and practical. Coding is really fun, it is very satisfying to construct a page and experience how ideas are materialized. The team has been most supportive, questions get answered promptly.
