I have always wanted to learn to code; at least basics. Before applying to SheCodes, I have tried couple other platforms but I used to get boring and gave up right after the first lesson.I was thinking that I will never be able to learn it. However, SheCodes workshops changed my whole perception. I loved it. Mat is a great teacher and he explains everything so clearly. The lessons are not overwhelming like others. The tasks are interesting and fun. The team is very supportive. I have enjoyed every single minute of passed three weeks. When I look at my codes, I feel so proud of how much I managed to learn. The free workshop was EXACTLY what I needed to finally make the jump into coding that I had been thinking about for so long, and the Basic workshop solidified my hunger for more. Loved this course! I'm utterly shocked at how much I've learned and my new capabilities! I appreciate the ability to take breaks/ask for extensions, it really lets you learn at your own pace since life can strike at any moment. I took this class to get into web development and I know I have more to learn but I'm excited and confident in my new skillset.
I didn't have a concrete reason to start learning code, but when I saw the Instagram ad for the free seminar I was intrigued and had to try it out. Turns out - I love coding! The SheCodes team have put together a very well organized course in introductory coding that is easy to follow and has a great outcome. I am so amazed that I have been able to complete the SheCodes Basics Course with such ease!! I had so many doubts in myself but once I started, I had so much fun and loved working on the final project in week 3!! I love SheCodes! I was really nervous before starting this workshop, because I knew nothing about coding! But Matt's lessons were so easy to follow and the challenges were really fun to complete! The lessons are very short and digestible, but long enough to get all the necessary information needed to complete your challenges and homework. I started working in the hospitality industry years ago while completing my University degree. When I graduated, I wasn't very sure what direction to go so I decided to travel the world instead. π After working my way up in the hospitality industry while globetrotting, I realized I have a love for software and processes. I decided to take the risk and switch industries! Since then, I feel like I'm finally able to apply my education to something I'm passionate about. It was actually a client of mine that recommended I sign up for SheCodes so with the support of my Manager, I decided to take the leap and start learning how to code. I've really enjoyed this course and can't wait to learn even more with the hopes I can apply this knowledge in my current position and assist with my career development moving forward.π

I was afraid to learn how to code because I had always thought coding was intimidating but taking this beginners course had helped me realized that coding is very fun and anyone is capable of learning the basics! I loved every moment of it, and I plan on taking more courses to further my learning.
Matt is a good teacher. You can feel he is passionate about coding in his teaching. (no teacher can be better than one who loves what he's doing!) Class content is well-structured and -designed, one thing at a time, many practical techniques are taught. The way how each specific code works is explained clearly.

Very easy and fun to interact with, especially for those who didn't have any development experience (like myself). This workshop definitely gives you an idea of what to expect, the very basics of front/back end development. I love the message behind the workshop! This was a fun journey, even though I had to stop a couple of times. However, the explanation was so great, that once I picked up where I left off, it was like I never stopped. I love how the lessons were broken down for a total beginner. The sequence of skills and tasks were logical and accessible. I also appreciated the tips on best resources to problem-solve.
