The perfect opportunity for all people curious about programming. Regardless of whether or not they want to pursue a career in programming, it is increasingly important to have some notions about it. In this amazing Workshop I got to learn the basics of coding in only 2 (intensive) days with a great teacher (Matt) and had the chance to meet an interesting group of people from all different backgrounds. Loved it!

SheCodes helped me learn the basics of coding on CSS, HTML, and JavaScript in a short period of time. I loved the course structure and exercises presented throughout the lessons. I also loved working on my final project and never thought I would be capable of assembling a page like that and have fun while doing so! I would definitely recommend. :)

It has been a great opportunity to start the abc of coding. It had a speed mode equal to 10 energy drinks but it was a great experience and a great challenge... and I loved it! It allowed me to demystify important concepts and understand that coding it's not only to "geeks"!! But if you want it you can do it, it takes a lot of practice, investigation, curiosity and creativity... and to be able to start and stop a puzzle over and over again... Bucket list: "Start coding" --> Check!

I truly loved the course. Matt is a great instructor and gives you a broad overview of the coding world in such a short amount of time. I loved how practical the classes were. Absolutely loved learning coding, still so much to learn but this was the perfect way to start for someone who had no clue about coding! I only wish the 3rd week also had a couple more lessons to keep learning more JS! I have every intention of joining SheCodes+ as I loved the teaching style!!

SheCodes Workshop was a breath of fresh air in my life, something I needed and didn't even know it. SheCodes changed my life in a way I could not have imagined. Not only did I discover a new skill I love, it led me to quit my actual job as a hospitality agent (I used to work in a hotel as a front desk agent)!! I am now investing my time in learning and practicing how to code and eventually get a job as a manager or elsewhat. Every single member in SheCodes team has an inspirational story and Matt is extremely positive when it comes to learning and being patient. I tried to code before with online tutorials and failed beacuse I needed the human approach and motivation, always reminding me to keep going and not quit. For that, a big THANK-YOU!!
It all started with my restless curiosity ... curiosity about the coding world. After all, what do developers do on those black screens full of color coding? How can they create so many powerful things from a black screen? And so I went looking for a coding initiation workshop. I found SheCodes and its initiation workshop in one weekend. Some of my developer friends validated that SheCodes had amazing workshops and they couldn't be more right! Matt is an engaging speaker who introduces us to the programming world and encourages us to make the most of every minute of that weekend. The pace is mind-blowing but inspirational. The result of those 16 hours is that you can do a number of things that 48 hours ago you didn't even think possible. I loved it!
Coding is a hole new world for me. But it is a very challenging work, forcing you to think and create. And I love that! I want to learn more, improve my skills and knowledge in this area. Very excited and thinking about taking another course with SheCode Family.

My 1st ever experience with coding was about 20 years ago or so! Do you remember Geocities, at Yahoo? I remember I created a very rudimentary website with HTML there. Since then, my academic and working career has had nothing to do with coding at all. Lately I have become more interested at coding since I love learning new things and this workshop has been a nice challenge for me. It has also allowed me to explore my creativity and think about personal future projects. And definitely, it is an opportunity if you consider to change career. SheCodes allows you to take part in affordable fun workshops.
I really loved discovering about coding! Matt is extremely clear and `i really enjoyed the whole process.
Loved the experience. It's a great environment where we learn or reinforce our knowledge in an easy way. Coding is much more than dots and dashes but in the end it is not that complicated.

SheCodes is a great way to start coding! This weekend was very productive. Matt is a very dynamic teacher and kept us always focused on the goal: learn as much as possible during an intensive 12 hour-period. We have learn the basics from JavaScript, HTML and CSS and have been asked to create a landing page from the scratch about something that we love. Such a great way to test ourselves!

SheCodes has opened a whole new world to me. I was at that stage in life, where I couldn't quite figure out where to go - but coding has shown me a path! At least now I have the skills to search for a job that allows me to do what I love the most - travelling - while still earning money.

I fell in love with coding when I first had a course on C programming in college (I'm a Biomedical Engineering student). After hearing about She Codes, I knew it was the right program for me, so I signed up. It was worth every single penny! I loved how much I learnt, how the workshop was organised, and I am looking forward to getting to extend my knowledge.
After recently falling in love with technology I started searching for code jump-start courses I could take. Immediately I found SheCodes and after a lot of searching I kept coming back to it until I finally mustered up the courage to enroll. Best decision ever! Not only have I enjoyed the classes, after dipping my toe into coding found I loved it and cannot wait to continue learning. I'm sure in a few years I will look back and see SheCodes was a turning point in my life.

It's not every day that you leave everything behind to start learning something totally new. I did struggle to keep up at some point, but I managed to keep focus and positive about my learning process thanks to Matt exercises and also thanks to the stories he told us about his personal learning journey. SheCodes is a great kickoff for anyone that wants to debut into the coding world. A supportive environment that allows us to learn a lot in a short period, without feeling 100% overwhelmed. I believe that Code is now like learning a second languages, we should at least know the basics and this is the place to start. As a digital marketer I am convinced that (at least basic) coding skills are required to grow in your job. And in the future they will become even more relevant! I was personally always curious about coding, however it being still such a men domain (even in 2018!) might hinder many women from learning it. After this fun two days I can only recommend it to other interested girls: I love the creativity in it and the feeling you created something from scratch! Since I also love challenges, I am thinking of enrolling for the upcoming Shecodes Week!
Super happy with what I got out of this course and I would love to attend She Codes Plus. Whole team is great and I definitely recommend it to any woman that wants to understand how software works from the basis.

As a graphic designer, knowing a little bit more about coding really changed the deal for me. The workshop was amazing, all the ladies were great, and it really did inspire me to go the extra mile. Now I can really say that I can code and I love doing it!

I love the concept of She Codes! It proved to be very useful for acquiring an overview of the several programming languages and their application in real life and at work. When i first applied, I immediately thought this program would be an excellent opportunity for me to learn more about coding and this project delivered it, I loved it and not only did I learn about the basics of the front end coding world and a little bit of back end but I made friends with women equally excited to learn code. My computing skills are still low but I’m thankful for this 4 weeks because it allowed me to set a strong basis for my future in html and css and it was all done by amazing and patient teachers. This programme made confirm that I really would like to pursue programming in the future.
HELLO WORLD : She Codes is brilliant! I have been a teacher for a long time but wanted to change my career to become a coder and this course gave me the perfect introduction and motivation I needed to start. The teachers are amazing at what they do, all very experienced and successful in their areas but most importantly they make the experience so much fun! I loved being a part of such a small and dedicated team, replete of inspiring women and actually looked forward to the early Saturday mornings, even on little sleep ;)) You will learn a lot but also make friends and share laughs. Lisbon just got a little bit better with SheCodes. : ))
