I approached SheCodes immediately after graduating in Data Science. In my studies, I have known other programming languages but I didn't know anything about web programming and I was curious to know if I might like it. I could have bought books or searched for free material on the internet, but I preferred to take a course that was simple but consistent. And I can confirm that it is a course suitable for anyone! Matt explains in a simple way and the learning is very gradual. I recommend it to anyone who wants to approach these topics, even if just out of curiosity. SheCodes has changed the way I see coding. I have never thought I would say that, but coding became a hobby. Every day I look forward to it when I finish work. I really enjoyed SheCodes basic workshop for two main reasons: first it has been taught in a pretty simple way including great examples and explanations which made the learning process very sweet and interesting. It was also fun. I must admit that Matt Delac is truly a great teacher. I spent hours watching videos and didn't notice that it was passing so fast. Second, the assignments had been designed so well that let the students practice the lessons in a highly productive and challenging way. Having completed the other SheCodes courses, I was very excited when this one was announced, and couldn't wait to sign up. The information around creating responsive layouts is a very helpful component when building sophisticated and professional-looking sites, and the introductory knowledge about SEO, what it is and how and why you should incorporate it into your site is something that a lot of people will find very useful. I have since gone on to look more into the web analytics side of things, but this course gave me an excellent start in this area. As always, Matt is an excellent teacher, and I highly recommend this SheCodes course to those looking to expand their coding and website-building skills.
Working for TikTok before and now, Asurion, sparked my interest in all things tech-related but mostly coding. The thing is, I didn't know where to start so I spent weeks and weeks looking for the perfect online coding class. Yes, there's a lot of free courses out there, but I know myself. Without proper structure and motivation, I'd simply fail. I was so glad then when I saw an ad for SheCodes on Instagram. I looked it up, went through each workshop's details to see which one fits me the most, read the testimonials, even checked out some of the alumni's LinkedIn profiles to make sure the reviews were legit. And it was. I just finished SheCodes Basics and couldn't be happier and more proud of myself. Matt is an amazing instructor--he's clear and explains things really well. As someone with minimal coding background, I was able to grasp everything Matt talked about easily. I also love that the lessons are structured and that each lesson is followed by challenges where I get to practice what I just learned. After doing SheCodes Basic, I carried on to Plus. WOW! JS is indeed difficult and Matt gives us a good idea of how it works. I love the challenges and the fact that we can get help from the slack group, they are always so helpful!

Basic course gave me a better notion of coding, but SheCodes Plus is a huge step forward, it was truly challenging for me but always enjoyed it because Matt's explanations are really clear,concise and illustrative, also it's very useful that the recordings are accesible anytime. I got more used to Slack, I realized other students shared similar doubts which sheCodes Support team helped solving.
SheCodes Pro was so rewarding! I can't even begin to explain how much I value this course. It requires a lot of work and a lot of brain power to grasp the concepts and put them all together, but when you nail it and your project works, it's the best feeling in the world. Matt is a great instructor and I love that we tackled different concepts in smaller lessons then brought them all together to create the weather app. I've learned more than I ever thought I would and I'm thrilled to keep coding with the next SheCodes courses.
I really enjoyed SheCodes React! I've heard that React can be quite challenging, but Matt was extremely clear in all of the lessons and the projects helped reinforce my learnings. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone looking to learn React!

After one week of HTML/CSS basics and one week of Javascript basics, Matt and the team at Shecodes unfolded the magic of mark-up languages, enabling me to build my very first own landing page. At my own pace. Which makes it even more awesome ❤️ The lessons are short and concise, well structured, and easy to digest with the follow-up mini-tasks that make you learn as you go. Really gives you a kick start to frontend knowledge and opens the door to learn even more from there.
SheCodes Basics is very well-structured and accessible to different types of learning patterns. I recommend it to anyone that wants to learn coding at your own pace. Matt explains clearly and breaks down each element of the course into digestible bits, which makes it easy to apply into hands-on exercises what was just learnt.
After finishing the Basics course, I was ready to dive in deeper and learn. Now that I have completed Plus I am ready to refine and improve my newly learned skills! These courses are a great way to teach yourself (through the lovely guidance of Matt and the SheCodes team) to code! I am so happy I took to leap and tried out SheCodes. I am now into the next course, here I come Responsive. :3
I took SheCodes Plus immediately after the Basic course. And it was a smooth next-level. Again, Matt has been a great guide through the labyrinth of code and its creation logic. All his tips and guidelines prove to be 100% correct - it pays off to be patient, test own code constantly and stop for a while if you hit the wall. Seeing the final app, maybe not the most beautiful by design, but fully functional makes me proud. I did program it myself and I want more!! :)
The responsive workshop has been very challenging for me, I had to spent a lot of patience to work on the small details of my portfolio website. But I liked that Matt gives so much freedom to create your own personal website and at the same time gives many helpful and inspiring advices for the process!
I love learning new things and discovering how things 'work'. Coding has been on my to 'explore' list for a very long time, but I didn't know where to start. Most online courses seem to assume you have some kind of background in coding, and I didn't want to spend a small fortune or the time commitment required to attend a formal coding bootcamp, in case I didn't enjoy coding after all. I'm so glad I came across the SheCodes add on Instagram. In SheCodes Basics, Matt teaches the very basic fundamentals of coding, and slowly builds from there. He doesn't assume you know what he's talking about but takes the time to explain the concepts with lots of examples. I can't wait to continue learning and building on the knowledge and skills I've acquired from this course.

I would highly recommend this course, the lessons are simple, short and sweet. The challenges and homework elements ensure you are putting what you learn into practice. The fact the course has deadlines to stick to (and cost actual $$) means you are motivated to continue, compared with free information online which is often difficult to source, digest and put into practice! Matt explains things really well and I am so pleased to have another item to add to my coding portfolio!
I did it! All four courses, what a wild ride it was and it was all thanks to Matt and the SheCodes team for making me absolutely love the whole process. The past 6 months in lockdown in Melbourne has been very productive and I think I nailed it so I'm definitely looking forward to more courses in the future as a very proud SheCodes alumni. What exciting couple of weeks continuing my SheCodes journey and completing the SheCodes Plus workshop! 😃 Learning how to use Bootstrap for structuring and changing the layout of webpages in an easier way, Git & GitHub for version control and Netlify for hosting webpages. I enjoyed the step-by-step process of building my own fully functional weather application, leaning how to use APIs and designing it the way I liked. Once again thank you Matt and team for the awesome workshop from which I learned lots! I would highly recommended the SheCodes Plus workshop for anyone who would like to learn more about Front-End Development. I am looking forward to continuing with the SheCodes Responsive workshop! 😃

When I started SheCodes, I was in the middle of a career transition as a new mom and I had no idea what to expect. Would I like coding? Would this be something I could make into a career or profitable side hobby/job? I took the free 60-minute pre-course and right away I loved Matt's teaching style. I signed up for the Basic class and became so obsessed I completed it in a week! Now, I have completed my fourth and final (hopefully for now) course and have decided to go full-time into the tech industry. Thanks to SheCodes I was able to start my own freelance business (Tsunoda Stylings) and help train new graduates looking for job experience to put on their resumes. This has been one of the most challenging but rewarding training workshops/camps I have been through and I would do it all over again. I can't recommend SheCodes enough and I thank you for giving me the opportunity to push to start this new journey of mine.
I have learned so much being a part of SheCodes. After completing SheCodes Basics, I went on to sign up for SheCodes Plus, and I plan to finish Responsive and React! I am constantly amazed at how much I have learned and how I have grown. I started out with no coding knowledge or experience and can now read, write, and understand code. I really loved the 3 weeks spent on the Basics course! It was well paced and Matt was a great teacher. He broke down the concepts into digestible short videos that were easy to follow. This was my 4th SheCodes Workshop and I loved it just as much as the other three. I learned heaps of new things and figuring out how to make webpages responsive has definitely been a game-changer for me - can't wait to work on other projects too! Before applying for coding, I was not completely sure that I'll understand coding very well at this coding workshop. I also suggest this workshop to my friends who were looking for coding. I'm also glad that a person who create this website is to encourage women to be a part of technological field. I would say that it was so great full to learning from Matt. He did a great job over all. I understand him very well, the way he teaches.
I started with SheCodes Basics a few months back and really enjoyed the class and everything I was learning, Matt does a good job of explaining things and letting you see his work as he goes. I've made the time to go through the current three other courses available. Finishing SheCodes Plus was challenging, but really fun and I feel more aware of what goes on behind the curtain now. I look forward to starting SheCodes Responsive and React next!
I have learned so much so far! Matt has done a great job designing this responsive course. He does well explaining . I really enjoy the video speed feature! Matt provides plenty of resources to help! Slack is a great asset. Your questions are answered quickly. I have searched specific questions many times and have always been able to find the answer from other students challenges and homework assigments. That is another great feature, that you are able to view other student's work! I benefit greatly from seeing other code. I may be a coding-newb, but SheCodes has brought me to another level! Keep calm - Code on!

The format of the course makes it really easy to manage and play out each lesson. Yet Matt doesn't always disclose everything you need to know, prompting you to think and learn to find solutions. This course is fun, creative and has opened a world of future possibilities.
This workshop has proven to be extremely helpful and user friendly. I highly recommend this program to anybody who is brand new to coding as Matt's teaching method is the most coherent and comprehensive out there. He simplifies the material very effectively making learning both fun and engaging.
Gets a little challenging sometimes but Matt's videos are very detailed and with the use of slack I was able to gain and learn more throughout this course.

The lessons are quick and easy to follow. I've managed to complete this 3 week course as well as working a 42 hour job, going to the gym and having a social life. Matt explains clearly and in a good level of detail so that you can follow and remember the steps. I feel like I have obtained a great knowledge from the basic course which I can apply in my career going forwards.

I have attended the classroom workshop for SheCodes Basic back in 2019 (Lisbon) and before starting SheCodes Plus had doubts about it being online but enjoyed it as much as the classroom one. Matt's teaching methods are great, he explains everything gradually and I never felt overwhlemed, even though I am a complete beginner in coding. I am really satisfied with what I've learnt and can't wait to start the following workshop!
Before I signed up for an introduction to coding course, I've joined the free class and seeing Matt coding made me want to explore this completely new world to me more. I would highly recommend this course to everyone who would like to try something new, fun, interesting and is looking for a new path in their career. I also appreciate how much we could have learned in just 3 weeks. If you are struggling with your code, you can always ask for help vía Slack. The Support Team is super friendly and helpful! SheCodes is a fantastic workshop that I would highly recommend to anyone who's interested in a career in programming and the SheCodes team provides a unique experience to dive into the coding world and explore the possibilities of working in the tech industry in an easy way and when I get stuck , the Slack software is helpful and I am in touch with other students and teachers. Matt explains in a friendly and professional way so it's easy to learn new concepts. A big thank to the whole team! I would definitely suggest it to everyone
