I really enjoyed this journey and the progress I've done from the beginning. Build the apps using React was fun and enlighten. Thanks Matt for your videos, I found them very easy to follow and sometimes even funny. Hearing from you that coding is not rocket science made me really believe it!!
Incredible beginner-friendly course with a great teacher. Matt explains things clearly and teaches you how to think not just what to do. I have learned a ton, had a lot of fun, and increased my web development abilities and confidence. I created my own Weather App! I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to start their journey toward web development.
Learning with SheCodes is fun! The videos and challenges are well tailored, perfectly divided into manageable bits and the course material is so nicely structured, clear and straightforward. I simply loved progressing further in the lessons building towards the final project. Matt is very good in explaining the topics and the team helping via Slack is doing a fantastic job answering any additional questions. It's so nice to move forward with the learning material at the own pace while still feeling perfectly guided. It was a real joy to learn about APIs, Netlify, Git and so much more in this course.
This course was a great introduction to React for me! There was a lot of information and new things to learn, but it was divided into manageable lessons that made it easy to progress steadily without being overwhelmed. Matt shows everything step by step, which I really appreciated.
Honestly, joined SheCodes without hesitation right after I watched Matt's promotional video about the organization and I haven't looked back since! After each lesson I felt empowered, like I could do anything! SheCodes demystified the world of coding for me & ignited my new found love for it ♥
This workshop was quite fun! It was so cool to start from an empty canvas and end up with a fully functioning weather app. Seeing it change every week was the best! Eventough the workshop is fully online, the homework deadlines really help you stay on track. And when facing any problem there is lots of fast support from everyone on Slack (and also Dr. Google 😂). I cannot believe how much I have accomplished in a few short weeks. I have come from a nursing background so this is all completely brand new to me. Matt breaks lessons down into small and achievable sessions so it's not too overwhelming and gives you plenty of opportunity to practice. I keep showing my friends and family what I can do already and they cannot believe it as I am really not a 'techy' person. Anyone who is nervous about taking that first step, don't be! You won't regret it :)

What a ride! I have to admit that the JS-part of SheCodes Plus was very tricky and I needed to rewatch Matt's instructions over and over again. Also having access to the source code helped as a last resort sometimes (damn you, missing semicolons and curly brackets!). But ultimately I overcame those difficulties and now I am super happy (and super proud) to have my own personal weather application! I really enjoyed coding alongside Matt again and can't wait to continue with SheCodes Responsive. Thanks ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!

Great first step into coding. Covers the very basic notions of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I liked Matt's explanations a lot. It's nice to have deadlines and small tasks along the way to practice. Since it's cheap, basic, flexible and well explained, I definitely recommend to enrol without thinking twice about it for those who don't know how to begin their coding journey. I had done several free 1h online coding classes before, including SheCode's, so the whole workshop seemed pretty intuitive. I got all 3 weeks done in 4 days and then took more time to submit the final project.

SheCodes Plus is the perfect blend between challenge and satisfaction which give a lot of motivation to continue to learn more. Love that Matt walks you logically through each step of the coding fundamentals. It's super beginner-friendly and the challenges that follow each exercise help to put to practice what you learn. I started my career in the tech industry two years ago, and since day 1 I’ve had the benefit of meeting and interacting with many talented and inspiring developers. Their passion and enthusiasm for coding is what ultimately motivated me to challenge myself and pursue this course as I’ve been wanting to learn and understand coding for many years. I couldn't believe that I could build my very own weather app within just a few weeks. Matt makes it very easy to understand and the team is very helpful and answer question promptly. I recommend this workshop to anyone who wants to learn building websites and coding effectively.
I really enjoyed this part of the course. It was challenging and overwhelming, but really fun thanks to Matt, who made every new concept more approachable to every woman new in programming. Yet another mile stone for me as I complete the SheCodes responsive workshop with shecodes.io. If asked when I started, if I was going to achieve these much just within a couple of weeks, I would have doubted it hands down. But matt brought in the magic wand in his teaching technics and all of a sudden “everything is possible if you put your mind to it. lol” To all the SheCodes team, an ocean full of thanks for making this a reality. One thing I am taking to till the end of this career part that I have chosen is that, learning is constant, and to that, I say, On to the next phase.

My friend took the 3-week course and mentioned it to me. We both work in tech for different companies. Coding is something I've always been interested in doing, but it intimidated me. It's great that you can set your own space completing this workshop, and I would have never thought that I would lose myself in coding for hours and hours because I wanted to learn more and more. The videos are easy to follow and Matt provides great tips. I've done some other online courses about HTML and CSS in the past, but I was never able to find the right commitment. The challenges and homework at SheCodes changed that. I'm very proud of the end result!
I used to self-study Javascript and HTML/CSS, and because of my experience, I knew I needed to find a place where someone could teach me a more concrete foundation. I chose SheCodes because it felt comfortable to me knowing other women around my age wanted to develop a new skill that wasn't in their current repertoire. The BASICS package was very easy to go through - especially because I had prior knowledge, but I did learn a few other things while going through each lesson and doing each assignment. I think it was nice to hear a few tips from Matt and how actual developers might do some basic coding.
I have learned and made great progress throughout this course! I am so proud of how far I've come since starting SheCodes Basics with absolutely no knowledge of coding. I feel comfortable with concepts of coding that I was scared of before! The lessons being split up into shorter segments really helps to grasp the concepts and from feeling overwhelmed. It is also simple to follow along with Matt's lessons at my own pace and if there is an issue I can not figure out myself, the technicians are prompt to provide help on the Slack chat. I would definitely encourage others step out of their comfort zone and give SheCodes a try!

After almost 6 years on the helpdesk I decided to make a change and get into something more interesting, I had tried all kinds of tutorials and signed up for loads of bootcamps and it all ended up being either too expensive or not the right fit. Matt taught us in short bursts and still allowed room for us to look and find answers on our own! He not only taught me how to code but he taught me how to find the answers I need as well so that I can continue to teach myself! Looking forward to more workshops from SheCodes!

An amazing introduction into the world of coding. Lessons are set out in an extremely user friendly 3 part format - 'Learn' A video tutorial explaining how something works. 'Challenge' An opportunity to demonstrate what you have just learnt. 'Solution' Explanation of how to solve the challenge. The video tutorials are informative and perfectly timed to ensure that they aren't overwhelming for newbies. Just enough information is provided to allow students to have a clear set up whilst also providing a little extra challenge here and there. Completing the final project has left me really excited and ready to take on the 'SheCodes Plus' workshop next! Huge thank you to Matt and the SheCodes teams! :)
I have no experience in coding. I didn't even know what it was really, until a couple months ago. I was nervous to try, and even more nervous to take a boot camp. I am horrible at school. I am not good at processing information just by listening. SheCodes has been the best thing, and I am so happy I found it. Matt is an excellent teacher! I love the way he talks, and he keeps you interested. He explains things so well. And to top it off, you actually DO the coding after he shows you. I learn best by doing, and this has been the best thing for me. I am just completing the basic course and plan on taking the pro course! In just 3 weeks, I learned so much! I was an absolute beginner when I started. I had no prior knowledge whatsoever. At first, it seemed intimidating, but now I can make a basic website already! I enyojed this short course, it was great to get a bit more familiar with coding! The videos were good for learning, Matt explained everything and the solution section helped a lot as well. The learning materials were clear and easily understandable, the challanges were super fun and it felt like a little win each time I could complete one.
I had some basic coding skills but never had any contact with html and CSS. Matt is great during the lessons and the supporting slack network is great to. I would highly recomend to anyone who wants to know more about front end development.

SheCodes Plus was a great course to take after SheCodes Basics where I got to use what I had previously learnt and develop a greater understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
