This has been the most fun learning I have had in a long time. Matt is able to take a skill that is seems so complicated and break it off into easy bite size pieces that make sense.
The SheCodes Team and Matt successfully turned me into a coding enthusiast after many years of hesitation. The course was engaging, fun and educational. I learned quite a lot, most importantly that it only takes a bit of discipline to accomplish small yet exciting things. Looking forward to the following Workshops.

I have had so much fun for the past 3 weeks with SheCodes Basics! I can't believe how much I have learned in just 3 weeks. I have been working as an IT Service Desk Analyst for 10 years and I was desperately looking for something better. I have been working closely with our development team for the past 2 years. At first, I was so intimidated sitting in their meetings because I didn't understand a thing and I thought you had to be some kind of genius to do that kind of work. Then slowly I began to understand what they were talking about and became familiar with some of the lingo. I started wondering if I could do it too. I tried two other learning programs online and became frustrated and felt defeated. Then I saw an advertisement on a YouTube video for SheCodes and decided to check it out. I'm so glad I did! After watching the free introductory class I knew this was it for me and it would change my life. I signed up for all of the workshops and I can't wait to start SheCodes Plus! The short video lessons are the perfect way for me to learn and I love the challenges, homework, and deadlines! I need structure to keep me on track. I just can't believe that I have been able to complete the SheCodes Plus workshop. It hasn't been easily, but the best thing is that with the videos you can always rewatch whenever you want and as many time as you can so that you can grasp the concept. It's incredible to think of how much progress I've made in a few months. All Matt's tutorials are so hands-on. I love the way he explains everything, so clear and so practical. He doesn't waste our time with unnecessary details and go step by step, showing how he builds things. I'm more confident about becoming a front-end developer because now I get it. I understand how to find solutions and how to integrate responsiveness into every project.

This is the first time I have ever coded in my life and I was super nervous at first. Matt's lessons are broken down into small increments and the challenges make it very easy to check your learning at your own pace. I love that I can pause the video, try something and go back and rewatch if I need. The community is also very supportive if you have any questions along the way! It was really fun to learn how to write site what will be good looking on the mobile devices! It is really like a magic - you have this on the big screen, but dont have on the small screen, or it is changing on something else! I always thought only really profecional genius developers can do magic like this but now I can too even I'm not a profeccional genius developer. Within this course, I managed to finish this 5-week Responsive course within 3 weeks. It was not as intensive as I thought it would be as it focused on creating our portfolios, making the website responsive using Bootstrap and CSS Utility. Matt has given me a lot of cool yet important tips to make websites user-friendly on any device. All in all, I find this course super fun! And now I am looking forward to working with React. I took my first CSS course in my freshman year of college, I failed, terribly. I was so discouraged I did not want to even look at my computer... But today, 8 years later, I decided to give it a try and see if I wasn't a complete failure (when it came to coding).. and let me tell you.. I am amazed! I understood (mostly) everything instructor Matt was presenting! I loved his teaching style, and could really understand all of his comparisons and analogies. Really grateful that I took this course.

As someone who never coded a day in her life prior to the basics workshop, I had no idea what was possible, and this team delivered a fantastic, thorough training.
