The more I learn with SheCodes, the more I fall in love with coding. As usual, this was a super fun workshop. The entire course is very well constructed, they put a lot of attention into detail and into providing you with so many resources that allow you to engage with the course and coding itself. I really enjoyed the lessons with Matt, he explains himself very well, putting things into an easy to digest manner. ItΒ΄s really noticeable he enjoys teaching. I also really liked having a challenge after every lesson to really put it into practice all that knowlege that you're gathering. The pride you feel once you see your product, specially the final project, is simply special. I had to take a break from the course and get back to few months after, and was surprised to see it was easier than expected to get back on track. Whenever I did not remember previous lessons, I had every lesson/resource easily available and the AI coding assistant, Athena, which proved very useful to refresh and correct/improve code.
This was challenging, yet the excellent instruction and support from Matt and the SheCodes team made it doable. I look forward to learning more Python!

Learning React was by far my most challenging learning curve. Learning React was a lot more difficult than expected. Matthew does explain that it is difficult but he moves too fast through out the React lessons anyways. I would like to add that I think the React lessons need a desperate update. The Node.js NMP download, has a lot of hurdles. I could not get VS code to work under NMP but Matthew uses Yarn. I decided after almost 3 weeks of failure, trying to use NMP in VS code to stop, restart and use Yarn and it finally worked. I did go to Slack for help but their solutions did not work for me, neither did Athena. Overall the React lessons were discouraging and I don't think I learned anything this time around.

I'm very happy with the AI project I created. It was a long process but Matt was very patient and clear in his instructions. I'm looking forward to my next workshop.
