SheCodes Basics was such a great experience, I'm proud of what I can do in so little time. The lessons were fun, Matt is a great instructor and to have the possibility to do your own project at the end with what you've learned is so rewarding.

No other course I took really compares to SheCodes, the ability to build a page from scratch, and Matt's amazing explanations on each concept is unmatched. I have learned so much in what feels like so little time!
I decided to apply for this workshop after graduate from school while waiting to get acceptance for my university... I would say it is challenging but thanks to Matt's good explanation and help from Slack, it is a fun journey as i get to learn how to make my own weather website and i am really amaze with myself that i'm able to complete this workshop despite the challenges. Coding as my future career would be fun and interesting!
I'm super happy I chose to participate in this workshop! It's amazing how much I learnt in this relative short amount of time. I will definitely continue with the next workshop aswell to deepen my knowledge further. I've spent around six months learning HTML, CSS and Javascript using various platforms such as CodeAcademy, LinkedIn Learning, Pluralsight and YouTube to name a few. After attending the SheCodes free coding class, the material I learned really stuck! I loved this experience, Matt explains everything super well , i was a complete zero in programming before starting and i've been able to do almost everything very smothly
To learn to code was an amazing decision, to do it at SheCodes made the decision perfect. I love the way Matt presents the stuff. You get a lot of very well explained new information with each class but you don't get it completely chewed. Some things are easy to reproduce others not ,and you must go through trial and error until you get the right answer. This is for me the best way to learn something. I just finished the Basics level and cannot wait to continue this journey. As Matt promised, coding is really fun.
SheCodes Plus is a great way to further your coding journey! It will be difficult at times, and occasionally you will feel like things are going over your head, but I promise it is worth it. I learnt so much through this course and can 100% say Matt has ignited a passion for coding.
This was an intense 3 week journey, I had in mind many times to give up, I was saying that this is not for me, I can't learn it, but I am so glad I have not gave up. I loved the support you get, in case you get stuck, so many options to sort your issue. I was not alone, I was getting instant help from staff members, even from the community members who joined SheCodes. I think what kept me going is the time line to submit your homework, if was not in place I am sure I was not to follow up and give up easily. Very organised step by step course, clear messages and instructions, the best coding course. I hope more people discover this and give a try, it's not as hard as you think and if so, you are not alone, a lot of people are going through same thing as you and many more are there to help you. I am so glad that I have joined SheCodes! In just 3 weeks I went from knowing NOTHING to building a simple website 🤩. At first, I was a bit hesitant about the teaching format, but Matt is absolutely brilliant at explaining things. You can watch videos whenever you like and rewatch them as many times as you want which is great if you are juggling a job and/or college work with the course like myself. An excellent course for total beginners! I had no previous coding experience and was concerned coding would be difficult. However, Matt breaks down the information into small steps and the challenges allow you to practice what you have just learned. I was able to immediately begin creating my own code! It was fun, interesting, and easy to understand. I really enjoyed creating my final project and I'm excited to begin SheCodes Plus!

Matt was an articulate instructor and very talented at translating scripts into easily digestible concepts. After having successfully tackled SheCodes Basic, I kept the momentum going and tackled SheCodes Plus. It was challenging at times, but then are you even learning? I feel a bit more confident in my skills and knowledge-base. Things that had always sounded so big and scary to me when my partner spoke about them like Bootstrap and GitHub aren't actually that scary at all. They're made to help you and make you more efficient. Matt has done such a great job in SheCodes Plus taking his time explaining the really tricky and complicated sections. I still feel a bit noob but I'm not as noob as before.
When I started my personal blog, a few years ago, that's when I had my first contact with HTML. I found it absolutely amazing to be able to manipulate the elements as I wished. Even though I learned (proactively) very little at the time, it proved to be useful in my day-to-day work. So, I've always felt the desire to learn more coding. This workshop exceeded all my expectations! Matt is absolutely amazing and has a gift for captivating and reassuring anyone who is most fearful. I highly recommend this workshop and hope to have the opportunity to continue to learn and apply what I've learnt in my day-to-day!

I've always been interested in coding. When I came across SheCodes I actually couldn't believe I would ever do it. It was only when I started SheCodes Basics I realized that, not only it is possible, but also not difficult to learn to code. I struggled when it came to learning programming languages before I found SheCodes. Matt makes learning so much fun and I'm always looking forward to my SheCodes challenges! I decided to start SheCodes basics because I'm interested in changing my field of employment and wanted to branch out into something that seems to have a lot of job opportunities. I was very nervous and skeptical at first as I had very little background or understanding of programming, or computing in general. My fears were put to rest almost immediately, the workshops were easy to follow, learning in little stages so you don't feel overwhelmed or have an information overload. Matt also doesn't use a lot of jargon which I particularly appreciated. I definitely will be continuing with SheCodes Plus or Pro very soon.

I didn't think I would be able to complete the course, or at least not very well, but the way it is instructed by Matt, and the allowance to take it all in you own time, in small or large chunks is very helpful! The videos make it easy to go back to something you learned before if you get stuck, and the online support system on Slack is amazing. I feel much more confident and better equipped now that I have completed the course! I plan to take more courses with SheCodes now and gain a better future! Thank you so much <3

SheCodes React was challenging but so rewarding. It was my fourth and final course and I am so happy that I discovered SheCodes half a year ago. I still can't believe how much I learned in such a short time and I am proud of what I achieved. At the same time, I am already sad that my SheCodes journey is now over - at least for now -, it feels a bit like leaving home. I will always feel connected to SheCodes and I hope that there will be more advanced courses in the future. I would definitely take them. Thanks a million to Matt for being such a skilled and wonderful teacher and for creating this amazing platform. I absolutely loved this class! I started out by attending the 1-hour free coding class from an Instagram ad, then ended up buying the basics class the following day and I have not looked back since! Matt does an amazing job explaining everything from the bottom up and does it where anyone can understand it. I was able to learn so much and have great resources that I had no problem with this final project. I had just a smidge of previous experience in coding from a semester in college (and those good ol' Myspace days!) and wanted to continue to learn more so that I can broaden my career opportunities in tech. If you're STILL hesitating to sign up, just DO IT, GIRL! Invest in yourself and your future, you will be thankful that you did.
I never thought that development or anything remotely IT-related would be for me, but when I saw the free course advertised I thought I have nothing to lose by looking into it. After the free introduction I was inspired to see what it was all about, for nothing more than to prove to myself I was able to! I have really enjoyed every part of the course and learning something new. I'm thinking of upgrading to one of the more advanced courses in the near future, as Matt's teaching style suits me down to the ground. I like that he shows why things don't work, and sets challenges which make you think. You are given the tools to fix errors and find good online guidance on your own, and that is invaluable. I would definitely recommend this course.

Matt is an amazing teacher and the SheCodes team is incredible - they're patient and explain everything you might not understand or need to make your code function as it should. It has been a challenge, but also a wonderfully rewarding experience. In just a matter of a few weeks, I came from not having any idea about how an app would work to building one myself! I can't recommend this course enough.
REACT was challenging and difficult to achieve at first. What impressed me was its potential, how you could use it to extract data from different sources and display it. The SheCodes team is amazing, always very attentive to our questions, and again, Matt explains everything so thoroughly that it makes the learning process lighter.

What a great course to build on HTML, CSS and Javascript foundations! I actually have to use HTML, CSS and Javascript for work and I found that Weeks 1 and 2 were super helpful in getting across the fundamentals. Week 3 was putting everything into practice. I had lots of fun during this workshop! The language was clear and the friendly tone of Matt helped a lot to stay encouraged. The exercises along the steps helped me to consolidate the lessons and I also found that the workload is adequate for the basic level in question. Entirely fitted for understanding if this is something you'd like to pursue as a career and for sure I'll try to ingress in the next levels in the future.

This is the first SheCodes course I've completed—I've signed up for the 4 month Pro React course—and whilst frustrating at times (*ahem* JavaScript *ahem*), I found Matt broke the course down in an easy-to-grasp way, and the notes below the lessons came in handy. Learning React has been really a challenge for me. I found JSX not very intuitive. Therefore, I consider completing the SheCodes' React class as a hard-earned skill. Matt's ability to present complex issues in a simple manner helped me definitely to stay on track and to finish the dictionary project which I am really proud of!
This workshop is a great way to gain an understanding about the basics of coding. Matt has the ability to break down the topics perfectly in order for the students to understand the concept and the function. I highly recommend this workshop to anyone who's looking to learn a new skill.
Initially I was quite sceptical about this but I gave it a shot as I had nothing to loose and no I strongly recommend this workshop to all the ladies that were afraid that they are "too stupid" to code. NO girl, YOU CAN DO THIS! You set up your own pace and Matt explains everything down to the dot. The weekly assignments are simple but yet challenging. I came to this thinking that I can't code because it's too technical, too this, too that. Before I even finish my first week I had bought the React pack! My final project was an ode to unicorns and fully dedicated to my niece, so you learn to code AND get to be the best & favourite aunt 😉

This is my 3rd course at SheCodes, having previously taken the Basics and Plus course. As always: great teaching by Matt! This course was focused primarily on website design, and I definitely feel I've become more comfortable in using HTML and CSS. My advanced knowledge in these languages enabled me to build good-looking webpages in a faster and more efficient way.
After completing React framework part, I feel extremely pleased and ready to start applying for a job in this field. I am sending many thanks to the whole SheCodes team and Matt as a lead, who have helped me a lot during this journey to aquire all the basics of a frontend development!

WoW! What a journey this bootcamp has been! This has really challenged my coding knowledge in the best way. Matt explains everything, every step of the way. There was definitely more struggles this time around but I have grown from them through building an entire real-time weather application. SheCodes Plus was an interesting and personal challenge. It is a great course with a lot of fascinating information and it depends on you the level of the goal you want to reach. Despite the complexity of the topics, Matt explains in an easy-to-understand way. I feel that this course raised my knowledge to a level that I did not think I could reach so soon and to be able to do so incredible things. I'm very excited to start the next one and get even better.

I came across SheCodes online and as someone who has quite basic computer skills I immediately loved Matt's teaching style. Loved every bit of it, no matter how many times I was staring at my screen thinking "Why is this not working?" just to realize that I have misplaced a ";" or other symbol, so yeah it is the little details that counts the most. Thankfully with all the support I got, I managed to get my projects up and running. Making mistakes was the best thing ever, for I realized that sometimes all you need to do is read your code and do some research, the answer is most of the time hidden in plain sight. If you have any second thoughts" don`t", it`s an amazing journey that might lead you to a different career path, or just have fun with coding. Looking forward for other workshops. Coding has always seemed so daunting but I always had an interest in it. As a total beginner, this workshop was a great introduction to the world of coding and provided a step-by-step process to ensure I understood the foundations. Matt's teaching style was simple and his explanations were easy to understand. The challenges and homework assignments were engaging and achievable. Working through each lesson and discovering more new things that I could do gave me a sense of accomplishment and a desire to learn more.
The workshop was amazing. I really enjoyed seeing my work come to life. Loved having the slack chat at my fingertips every time I found myself stuck. I joined SheCodes to have a first experience in coding as recommended by some friends. I have really learned a lot in this course despite being at a beginner level. Matt not only teaches you the basics of JavaScript, HTML and CSS, but he also teaches you throughout the course methodology so you can learn on your own once the course is over. The concepts are clear and easy to keep up with, plus the Slack community is a great support to help you when you're stuck.

Matt equips you to learn and gives you the tools to search on your own. Not only that, but I found that when life got a bit hectic, I could extend my due dates. Excellent workshop! I was very intimidated and kind of avoided this type of subject but my curiosity and the initial free workshop gave me the guts to go ahead. From the first day, I had enjoyed the content, the process, and the achievements. The workshop has been so much fun! Matt explains it all very well and makes it very easy to learn step-by-step. It's pretty awesome to see the result to your own creations.
So happy to finish the Responsive module and so ready to jump into the next one. Now I can use the responsive techniques to make my websites and applications looking good in any devices. Amazing course for anyone intrested in coding, as it is made simple, easy to understand and teach all the tools and knowledge you need in order to build your one projects. I really recommend this workshop to anyone who is curious about programming. I have tried to learn it via other platforms, but none were as easy to understand as this one. Matt is an amazing teacher and he explains everything in plain English. Programming doesn't feel as daunting as it used to. I feel like I am actually, finally, grasping the basic concepts. Doesn’t go in dept but helped me understand some concepts (JavaScrip) better. It’s realistic about the timeframe of each course and so Matt teaches you the things that your are most likely to use when creating a site.
Matt is a great teacher and I enjoyed a lot the small challenges and homeworks. I am impressed by how much I learned in just 3 weeks.
