Once again, the SheCodes workshop has been amazing. Matt continues to be an excellent instructor and I look forward to taking my next workshop in the future.
Within minutes of starting, I was picking up new skills that I never thought I'd be able to learn. Matt makes it feel simple. I've been struggling with feeling like I'd never be able to learn coding, and three weeks later I have a web page built. I can't wait to learn more in the next workshop.
I am so thankful I came across SheCodes. I had tried another expensive beginner coding course but was completely overwhelmed as a coding newbie. Matt teaches you the fundamentals in such an organized and fun way that I was really able to comprehend what I was learning. I was really impressed on how Matt breaks down each lesson and demonstrates how to implement the code in a video. The lesson challenges following the demonstration really helps with your comprehension and ultimately sticks in your head. Matt is really great about giving you tips and tricks to find more information on your own as well but ultimately what he teaches is great for an intro course. Matt definitely gave me the confidence to continue my coding journey with SheCodes. I highly recommend this course even if you have never coded before!
SheCodes Basic has been such a fun experience! I started out not knowing a thing about computers and was a little nervous about whether I would understand everything, but I didn't have a problem at all! Matt explained every step in such great detail and now I feel so much more confident in my ability to move on to the next workshop! I think SheCodes is a great platform for all!
I am thrilled that I took the plunge with SheCodes. Matt is thorough and the classes are the perfect speed. I would recommend this class to anyone who is curious about leaning more about coding. So worth it!!!
This portion of the course was a nice breather after the first 2 courses. I still managed to learn a lot of interesting code and techniques but it seemed to flow easier this round. I enjoyed being able to built my portfolio and see how Matt would have built his.
SheCodes is the best course out there for those who are new to the coding world! It felt so rewarding when I could read the code and understand the logic behind the syntax. Completing the basics of HTML, CSS and JS made me realize there is so much more to learn and I am truly excited to learn and grow! This course is very good if you want to learn more about coding. It is sometimes very challenging but with the help of Matt and his team you will get through it. I learned a lot and can recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn a new skill.
Making webpages more responsive takes a surprising amount of patience, but it was helpful to see Matt model how to build responsively and get the help of the team on Slack. By the end of my project, I started to feel like I was getting the hang of problem-solving. It's nice to have so many projects integrated into the workshops so I can put new learning into practice.
I have always been interested in coding, but i never thought i would end up loving it! SheCodes Workshop provides an easy but comprehensive introduction to HTML, CSS and Javascript to people from different professional backgrounds and with varying levels of expertise. Matt is a great teacher, who made coding a fun and exciting experience. I would recommend this course to anyone!
Totally loved this course! I used to build websites from scratch when I was around 12-years old yet over 10+ years, I just somehow didn't continue with this hobby anymore. With this 3-week course, I wanted to find out if this love for coding was still there and it definitely is! The way Matt teaches is so engaging and motivating, plus the Slack channel with fellow students ensures you can keep each other accountable in completing the projects. My next step? Signing up for the more advanced course for sure. Thank you SheCodes for restarting this fire in my belly :)
After participating in the 1-hour introduction session by Matt I was convinced that SheCodes is exactly the type of coding course that I identify with - and I was not disappointed ☺️ I really like the concept of learning in small chunks combining videos & exercises. It's pretty cool that all videos are recorded by Matt himself and appear very pure - small stuff such as slips are not edited / cut out, the coding itself is shown in its whole (uncut) so the viewer can fully witness and thus better understand every move. It gives it a personal touch, like learning from a friend 😊 It feels to me that doing the workshops is more than "just" learning how to code. It gives me confidence that I am not bound to what I've studied 💪 It provides me with tools and triggers creative sparks that are useful in many situations. And last but not least - super nice branding! It's a beautifully crafted brand and design. I am enthusiastic and excited whenever I talk to my friends about SheCodes and now I can even show off my SheCodes swag 😎 Looking forward to continuing my coding journey all the way to Pro!
This is has been a long but wonderful journey. I am so proud of the progress I have made during SheCodes Responsive and it wouldn't have happened would it not have have been for Matt and the amazing team at SheCodes. If you are on the fence as to whether this will be the right journey for you. DO IT!. You wont regret it.
I've been somewhat interested in coding / web developing for a few years now, but learning everything by myself resulted in quite a mess in my head. SheCodes finally helped me make it all make sense! In addition to the very basics I've known, Matt and his team taught me many new tricks and possibilities that I'm sure will greatly improve my future projects. Every part of the course is designed really well, and even if you struggle with getting something work there's a huge support net made of SheCodes team and other students eager to help you figure things out. This course got me totally hooked on coding and I hope I'll be able to continue to progress!

This was the best experience learning to code for me. I was an absolute beginner when I started. Before I took this class, I never imagined I would be able to code. Matt does a great job of starting you off small, so that you feel victories as you go along to keep you motivated. All of the information about the programming languages was up to date information. This is much better than trying to go it alone. I enjoyed the final project so much and I would recommend SheCodes to any ladies I know that want to learn.

I have never expected that one day I could build something on the web. I always thought that I do not have the skills, I am not capable of, guess what? Of course, I don't know everything yet. It has certainly been an experience so far! Learning to code will definitely surprise you its not would i thought it would be pleasantly surprised actually. Matt and team have broken the courses down into perfectly sizeable chunks, attention to detail is key but i will say be prepared to put you're perfectionism aside in order to persevere.I would recommend to give shecodes BASICS to see if coding is for you.
Starting my coding journey with SheCodes was a great decision! Tutorials are clear and easy to follow even for an absolute beginner. After completing all of Matt's challenges and a final project I feel confident about exploring more complex coding issues. Excited to move on to the next SheCodes course.
I love SheCodes workshop!!! This was fun and easy way to learn coding. I learned a little bit when I took web design class in college but, it was difficult to understand. Taking this workshop, watching the videos, doing the challenges, and homework made it help. I recommend anyone to take this workshop. I'm totally beginners in coding and no idea about how a website built. Through out the basic course i really enjoy it, especially when i run my code and its working! even though i only have limited time to do my exercises and my homework i still manage to make it on time. I can say that, Matt is really a good teacher!
After taking SheCodes classes I feel like my knowledge has been finally put in order. Matt did a great job, slowly and precisely explaining how to do everything, in a way that anyone could understand. I look forward to continuing my coding practice with other SheCodes course!

I enjoyed the course and learned a lot from it. The content is well organised and focused on practical situations. Matt communicates super friendly and makes it easy to follow along. The Slack group is also a nice asset.
I work fulltime, and have a very active life besides work - the workload per week fits me just right, I could literally keep on forever with these lessons. If you're as much of a perfectionist as I am, you'll even have enough time to really dig into it and make your project your own - I love it! Looking forward to improve my coding skills even more, with additional SheCodes workshops. (@Matt You have to keep releasing new workshops so I can just keep going forever. 😂)
This class was tough but Matt explained everything in a way that made it easier to understand. I have to admit I did watch some of the videos more than once ... or twice. I cannot believe how much I learned. Great class!

First week was very challenging!! But the second and third week were a lot easier. Matt was a great teacher. And as I studied things became a lot easier.
I was so nervous at the beginning, but the SheCodes workshops have been broken down to be super easy to follow. Not only that, the videos, resources, and global community are always there to help along the way. I love that Matt encourages you to do your own research too! I'd recommend SheCodes to anyone who might be curious about coding!

This course was *so much fun*! Challenging at times, sure, but never too much so because I knew that if I ever needed it, help was just a simple click away. Matt's videos were helpful and fun and the Slack community would respond to any question I had, no matter how stupid it was, within a couple of hours. I really recommend this course to anyone who wants to get into coding. It's so rewarding to see your final project functioning as it's meant to!
I always thought that coding was hard. That was until i took the initiative to sign up for shecodes. The community on slack is absolutely amazing!! Everyone is helpful and learning is easy!! Matt Delac is an absolute genius! The videos are extremly clear and to the point and i found it helpful going back if i didnt get something the first time around!! I highly recommend !!
I had a great 3 weeks learning to code using Matt's simple and effective videos. As a business analyst, I work with Software Developers and have always been interested in understanding more about what they do (and what they are talking about in meetings!). This has given me a great, basic understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript.

At first I was wary of doing coding. I've always wanted to do it but didn't know if I would enjoy it. When I took Matts free hour class I decided to jump fully in and I have loved every minute of it. His course is just the right amount of teaching but also a challenge to where you need to figure it out on your own. I liked that the groups on slack where available 24/7 where you can ask questions or see other student questions that could help you get through the course. I really enjoyed this class and cant wait to begin shecodes plus!

When I started the introduction workshop I had zero experience with HTML, CSS & Java Script. 3 weeks later I've learned how to code my own web page and have a new understanding of web design. I have been wanting to learn to code for while but was always nervous that I wouldn't be able to do it!! This course in, without exaggerating, the best course I have ever taken. For MANY reasons. I have no background in the Tech. I never had ANY interest in it either, until a couple of weeks ago. I love how flexible, pedagogic and mind-blowing this course is. For me, someone with zero experience, it was a bit TERRIFYING to start coding, but this course is almost impossible not to pass. The instructions are smooth to follow. Lessons are short, informative, and bring lots of value. Challenges are in line with lessons. This entire course is divided into shorter sessions, making it so smooth to learn. I cannot believe how much I have learned in under three weeks - it is INSANE! If someone would have told me few months ago that I would be able to create a webpage using HTML, CSS and JavaScript all on MY OWN, I would never believe them. And this was just a Introduction Workshop! I am looking forward to starting the next workshop! If you are hesitating, if you have second thoughts, DO NOT. This will be the best investment you will ever make. Matt is an incredible teacher and this course could change your life! I have never been this proud and HAPPY with MYSELF and my achievements. SheCodes Plus was not easy but I learnt so much from this course and it gave me an edge over my classmates in my engineering course. Matt was a great teacher and his videos were very easy to understand. The programmers in slack were also very helpful in answering all my questions. I hope that this will be of help when I apply for my professional internship.

I have wanted a future in tech and I didn't know where to begin, everything seemed too intimidating. After the free trial with Matt, I got a better sense of my fear and decided to give SheCodes a try. I'm really glad I did. I spent hours on troubleshooting and restructuring because it was fun, not because I had to. Dedicating the time is key and so worth it.
This course gave me so much confidence and the ability to do things I couldn't do before - given how affordable it is it's a bit unbelievable how much you are taught. Matt explains things in an easy to understand way and the whole things is organised so each piece of new information builds on the last piece, so you never feel like you are learning too much at once that you can't connect to what you already know. I honestly think everyone should do the basics course even if they think they can't - I think you'll surprise yourself.
I cannot even begin to describe how amazing it feels to have learned so much in just a three-week workshop. I started out more or less knowing only that HTML, CSS and JavaScript were things that exist in the world and now, I'm building full pages using all three. I am so happy I gave SheCodes a try, I had no idea just how much I would love coding and plan to continue my journey in hopes of opening new doors with an eventual career change, all thanks to the Matt and the SheCodes crew.
I am so happy I decided to take the SheCodes basics course! I learned so much in the short time and loved the hands-on way Matt teaches to code. It was so interesting coming from a background in UX UI Design to see how that translates into front-end development. Excited to continue learning!
A great introduction course for learning the basics and really suited my learning style. The lessons were very thorough and Matt provided great explanations and framing of coding concepts. The challenges covered concepts discussed in the lessons but sometimes required a little extra research; all great preparation to learn how to solve problems and utilize the countless resources online.
SheCodes is perfect if you don't want to spend hours on watching videos on how to code, Matt made short but informative videos that made it easier to understand and fun to learn!
If someone had told me a few years ago that I will be doing 4 frontend development online courses in a year with a World pandemic, I just wouldn't believe it. But the truth is: here am I, just finishing the last one. From having no coding experience a couple of months ago to now having completed this React workshop, I have more knowledge and experience in coding than I could have ever imagined having in this short amount of time. I loved SheCodes-Basic! Before I started, I didn't know anything about coding whatsoever and I was always a little intimidated by it. I liked Matt's way of teaching straight away (not easily done because I am a teacher myself 👩🏫) and it is still truely amazing to me, how much I learnt in that short span of time. It gave me a lot of insights into the world of coding - so much in fact that I decided to continue with SheCodesPro to change careers, as I recently became unemployed. Great course for beginners and as a refresher for me since I had used HTML and CSS in the past, and great to learn Javascript as well. The lessons are short and the course is very hands-on with small challenges to complete along the way. Also Matt gave some good tips on how to set up VS Code and how to keep your code clean. Overall a good experience!
Completing SheCodes Plus has been an amazing, challenging, and beneficial addition to my present and future self. I am gaining skills in and for an industry that I never thought I would consider seriously delving into and I appreciate Matt and his other associates for creating such an educational platform that are very well informed, and well preparing for perspective tech and/or non-tech women like me. I honestly cannot wait for the next challenge!

SheCodes Basics was a great introduction to front-end development for me. Although I'd rather have live classes, so it would feel more interactive, Matt's videos were clear and to the point, and I had no issues solving my doubts by searching the documentation. This is an awesome workshop for someone who wants to dive in to HTML, CSS and JavaScript if they don't have that much experience!
So far I have really enjoyed the weekly workshops. Matt explains things clearly and it's nice to go back and rewatch the videos if I feel like I need to refresh. I am happy I found SheCodes. Moving on to SheCodes Plus.

Building a weather app was super challenging and at the same time super rewarding. SheCodes does a great job at guiding you through the process of building your first application. Matt is a wonderful instructor and the best of it all, the app is actually live; with real data! Invest in yourself and take the time to learn how to code!

Among all the other virtual self-study courses, SheCodes Basic course is one of the best courses I've participated within 5 years! Everything was coordinated super-smoothly, all the necessary information was provided before and during the study, I got help when I asked it, Matt's way of teaching suited me very well and I had just enough time to learn and submit my homework. As a French philologist, yet being an Estonian native speaker, I've always thought that coding is only for the people who understand higher math. Well, I've never would have guessed that coding is very similar to learning a foreign language. And moreover, it's fun! I will definitely continue my baby-steps and try to make as much effort into my development as I can. Thank you so much, SheCodes' team! 🙏
SheCodes has made it very easy for me to learn how to code without so much struggle. I specifically like the step to step guideline approach that Matt uses to teach. I like how we started off by writing codes on code pen then slowly moved to VsCode editor, all of which one could access just by a click of a button. So far, it has been an exciting Learning experience and I cannot wait to learn more!
I enjoyed the Basics Course very much! It's very dynamic and interactive and Matt is a great instructor! What I liked the most is that the lessons are short and are followed by challenges where we have to apply what we just learnt.

SheCodes is an easy way to learn to code. Matt explains it well. And when I didn't completely understand the explanation in the video's, luckily a search on the internet made it clear. I really loved doing the final project; it all came together and I could spend hours without watching an instruction or making homework. Matt makes it so easy to understand, and the practical exercises give you time to try and learn at your own pace. This is my third SheCodes workshop and I cannot say it has not been challenging, especially with a full time job. However, I have enjoyed React as much as the previous courses. Matt is an excellent teacher and the material of this course is extremely well presented. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to gain some new skills in some of the newest technologies on the scene. Cannot wait to start the next one !
