I enjoyed every bit of coding and learning REACT using multiple APIs. This workshop was a advanced form of React. I have learnt a lot through SheCodes workshops. I have been wanting to learn how to code for a while, but I never knew how/where to start. I bought the basics workshop on Black Friday to give it a go and see if I liked it... I LOVED IT! Matt explains everything excellently and simply, making the learning process even easier than expected. I can't waitstart learning and expanding my knowledge.
I highly recommend SheCodes to dose who want to have a new experience with technology and coding if I did you will do as well because I haven't any experience in this area and I was scared to starting my workshops at first postponed for two weeks to start when I started my fear came down and every lesson motivated me to go forward and the way Matt teaches it is so understandable and joyful and the SheCodes team on Slack they are so friendly and without any judge reply to your questions during the Workshop. I had the pleasure of working on the Explore Cape Town website, and I must say, coding responsiveness was an absolute breeze! The responsiveness wasn't just a checkbox to tick off; it was an engaging experience that allowed me to see the immediate impact of my coding decisions. Learning React has been the most difficult part of the whole course so far, and has really tested my coding skills! It was rewarding in the end, but required perserverance and frustration, which can be half the fun! I remember something that Matt said in the Basics workshop - If you ever get frustrated by the fact that one small thing is enough to break your entire page, remembr that it only takes one small thing to fix it!

my time on SHECODES basis was the best ever, it challenged me a bit cause was new to coding but the instructor matt made things easy for me a lot. I enjoyed creating my final project as it also challenged my thinking and skills, I acquired during the 3 weeks workshop program. So if I had to rate my experience I would say 100%.
At the end of 2023, I decided to challenge myself to learn coding again. The instructor simplified everything and made it easier to understand the concept. Thanks to Matt's method, I am able to write a simple code in a few weeks.
After completing the basics course with zero coding experience and unsure how I would do, I found the course to be well explained and fun. I decided to do the 'Plus' course to keep up momentum and carry on my learning experience. I enjoyed this course even more and liked the speed at which the classes are delivered and the explanation as to why things are being done. (Also, Matt's occassional chuckles and reassurances make the classes relatable and easy-going!) I love working things out and am really enjoying learning something that requires problem solving.. Now onto the next course..!
I did no´t know anything about coding. I thought as Matt said in the videos, It was rocket science.. I´m from a different field, I´m from Health science I studied Biomedical Science, and Clinical Microbiology with a master degree in sales and Marketing so I Work in Sales but I wanted to experience a different field to learn something totally new for me. I work a lot of hours during the day and travel a lot (but not for fun hahaha), Despite my busy busy life I could finish the three weeks workshop (In more time of course, because my agenda it´s pretty tight), but The way Matt teaches does everything easier to learn; I love the shorts and practical videos to understand everything. Right now I´m thinking in take a big step to try to learn more about this world, probably soon I will take the maximum level of these workshops. Thank you very much, to create such a magical way to learn a field that looks super difficult and "just for men"...

LOVED this course. I have always preferred self paced courses due to life's natural pivot to chaos. SheCodes has TONS of resources for when you run into a confusing section on a assignment, personal project, or you decide to take creative liberties elsewhere. The classes were very well organized to where I could go back to a previous lesson to help me understand what I'm doing incorrect outside of the course. I was able to learn so efficiently that I was hospitalized for a few days, bed rest for a month, and came back into the coursework with excitement and understanding. I am so grateful for this amazing opportunity to learn coding. I have experienced many educational programs in my life, I am a psychologist-coach, teacher and educational author, and I can honestly say that this was the best course ever. Course structure: The lessons are incredibly well structured, showing excellent insight in what the student is going through. For example, just when I felt like I needed to review the previous material because it was getting a little bit overwhelming, the next lesson - week 7- was a recap in which everything we had learnt was reviewed. Course content: Next to that, each lesson was a tiny step, so I never felt lost or confused. This is a key point to the course: it could seem incredibly overwhelming, but because of the small steps you suddenly arrive at the destination without realizing it! Individual learning path: The program also gives you the option to choose which level you want to engage in. For instance, the final project had two options, a basic and a more ellaborate one. And when working on the weekly challenges you can ask for help or get some hints if you want to. In terms of what we learn, I have consulted with software developers and they say it's a very complete program. Support! The SheCodes team is also very supportive and responsive: they are always available on Slack or email to answer any questions or help with any issues very quickly so when things got challenging it was nice to know that they were there. Their tone was always very friendly and they always put a smile on my face. Also, through Slack, other students help as well. SheCodes community: Last but not least, what really makes this experience unforgettable is the sense of community that the course creates. The SheCodes Radio we got from Matt just did it for me :) :). Thank you SheCodes! I enrolled in the Basic Course and then I immediately signed up for the Max course. Now that the Plus course is almost over, I am so glad I did, because I don't want to stop here! If you doubt whether to enrol or not, just DO IT! You will be so happy you did!

After trying the free class, I was a little concerned about how the lessons would go. But I had nothing to worry about - Matt's explanations were easy to follow, and I liked the provided challenges to help solidify what you just learned. The Slack community was also a great source to ask questions (chances are, someone already asked the same one before!), and so I felt like it was truly self-paced since I didn't need to wait for people to get back to me. I am so excited to keep learning!

I recently had the opportunity to be a part of the SheCodes Plus course, where I not only had the privilege of winning a scholarship but also had the chance to dive into the world of coding through the Introduction to Coding Beginners course. This experience has been nothing short of transformative for me. During my time at SheCodes, I delved into front-end coding using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript technologies. I learned how to create online applications and had the opportunity to further enhance my skills through the use of GitHub and Netlify for deploying and hosting purposes. The hands-on approach employed by the SheCodes team made learning these technologies an engaging and enjoyable experience. I am incredibly grateful to the entire SheCodes team, and particularly to Matt Delac, for the positive changes that this course has brought into my life. Not only have I gained a solid foundation in coding, but I have also been inspired to continue my journey and explore even more possibilities within the coding field. SheCodes has provided me with a supportive community and resources that have empowered me to pursue a career in coding with confidence.
