I really enjoyed the SheCodes Basics workshop. I've had some experience with HTML/CSS prior to the workshop, but it's been great to refresh my memory and learn a few new things. I really liked Matt's approach to JavaScript, since this was the subject that I was most worried about. But the lessons are understandable, and after a few exercises I've got the hang of it.
I like how Matt made all the lessons into bite-sized - easy to follow and understand. Really enjoyed it!

I was always very curious about coding and wanted to see if it was something I could learn. I took the free class to get some insight and found that Matt is a fantastic instructor and gave my the confidence to take the Basics class. I have enjoyed the past 3 weeks so much that I want to continue my coding journey. There are so many avenues of support you can receive so you never feel alone throughout the course.
I really appreciate that this add on went in depth on how to make a website more aesthetic and increased my knowledge on how to do themes. I was worried about the final project, but with Matt walking us through I had a lot more confidence.

I thoroughly enjoyed this workshop! The lessons were easy to follow, the challenges help reinforce everything we learned, and being able to follow along with Matt during our project was a HUGE help. With all the workshops I achieved with SheCodes, I can tell I'm good in coding, already. 😅👩💻 But unfortunatly school is needed to get a serious job and at least 5 years of experience... 🫤 So I won't stop studiying after Shecodes but it really is the best way to learn and with the best teacher of all time. A fantastic course for beginners! I remembered bits of coding from my earlier years which helped with the challenges. But I really loved learning the CSS and Javascript within the basics course. Matt explained everything thoroughly and he encourages learners to go out and look for coding by checking the source codes on various websites to get answers, ideas and inspiration. I have a full time job as a project analyst and a child to look after and I found 1 week was ample time to complete the lessons and challenges! SheCodes Plus course, here I come!
It's been a fun, challenging and humbling experience learning the basics of coding. I thoroughly enjoyed every step of the weekly challenges. Matt has been a phenomenal teacher by breaking down concepts to easily understand. I love how the program gives one a little independency and allows you to do some research on your own in some challenges. I can't wait to go on into the next course.
Prior to this workshop, I had no experience working with AI APIs or writing AI prompts. Instructor Matt did an excellent job of breaking down the concepts in order to make them easily understandable. The final project was a lot of fun and tied everything together nicely.

I really loved this workshop. It's something i was waiting since i started my SheCodes journey. I simply love creating webpages and giving them my personal design style. This workshop was all i was hoping for: i've learned how to prorpely code a responsive website, transforming designs into code and much more. I loved it so much and i most importantly i enjoyed the portofolio project more than anything. It gave me a lot of inspiration and motivation to focus transforming more existing designs into code. Another stage completed. It wasn't easy, but it was fun at the same time. Thanks to Matt and the simple and detailed way he teaches, I was able to learn the basics (sometimes not so much, lol) of React and knowing that I can now build a more complete and responsive application is very satisfying, even though I have a long way to go to improve my knowledge and techniques. That said, I look forward to the next challenges.
I was very intimidated by this class and was unsure if I would be able to understand how it works. Once again, Mattheiu provides a wonderful explanation with plenty of step-by-step instructions to make this less scary. I really enjoying working with the APIs and having to work with it again increased my enjoyment of the course even more!

Now, I can create awesome websites that look good and do really cool stuff. Connecting to APIs and learning a bit of advanced JavaScript was a blast. I was worried about understanding all the JavaScript covered in SheCodes Plus, it covered loads of new topics, but Matt really made sure to explain things to the tea so that it is easily understood.

These 3 weeks that i spent coding with SheCodes Basics has been absolutely exceptional. The information that i was able to learn was not easy but it definitely was doable and i enjoyed every single class provided. Matt is very easy to understand and pushes students to take accountability for their learning by encouraging us to research outside of the course when we don't understand or need more information about a concept. Finding info on our own will be a real life scenario, so I appreciate that the answers are not always fed. Still, Matt does answer many of the questions that I feel other courses do not.
The BEST workshop ever, easiest of them all, I loved every homework assignment we did, and the project was even more great, all thanks to Matt for assisting.

Hey there! So, when I first started coding, I thought it was impossible to understand. But you know what? Each week that went by, I found myself amazed at how easily I could comprehend the material. I am always amazed at how much I have progressed and learned by the end of each workshop and it is also true for the responsive workshop. The responsive workshop is by far my favourite one, we got to learn about media queries, and CSS variables, and also build on the learning from previous workshops. Matt's explanation for each new information we are learning is easy to understand and follow as well as how the learning can be applied in different ways.

I recently finished the AI workshop, and it was an unforgettable experience. The workshop was well-structured, and Matt Delac could easily explain the content. I learned much about AI and feel confident applying my newfound knowledge to real-world scenarios.
I watched a lot of tutorials on the internet, and all of them would go on and on about every little detail that is on coding. but I think what I learned about this course is that coding is more of searching and after that coding. None of the tutorials would emphasize on this matter that you should learn and move on, because after learning much more of your time would go on testing and spending time to try on.

SheCodes has been a great platform for women to start learning how to code from scratch! I did the basics course and I've been so impressed on how Matt's videos are easily understandable and enjoyable too. I impressed myself too! As I never knew I would be capable to code but now I feel confident to do anything.
I enjoyed this workshop. It was challenging but reminded me of why I want to pursue a career in tech. From learning new things, doing research, creating, and then seeing an end product was a great experience! This workshop levelled my skills up to the next level! I found out that your professional skill doesn't mean everything; you must be able to sell your self to the person who hires you. Properly! and in this workshop Matt did a great job from writing me resume and editing my LinkedIn account and how to network. This is the thing you need if you got the professional skill!

My educational background is in Neuropsychology. Although I was really fascinated by the world of tech, it was at the back of my mind. As a graduate, working in mental health and understanding the vast technology that can be put together to support and help has been at the forefront. Taking on Shecodes has been an exciting journey. I am all done with the basics now, and I am waiting to get onto Shecodes PLUS. It took a lot of discipline and dedication, but if I am honest, Matt makes it fun to want to tune in and engage. So thank you Matt and the team!!
This workshop was the first programming workshop I took and I simply fell in love with coding. Matt's explanation is incredible and he makes everything look so easy. The challenges are really cool and I definitely continued. Thank you to the entire team. Your work is incredible.
I never thought I would build an AI app from scratch but with SheCodes I did! There were some features I had never seen or heard of before. It was a bit daunting but Matt explained them and I was able to do more research about them (thanks to AI) as well. Out of all of the courses, I rank this one in the top 3.
I really enjoyed learning how to build a responsive website. Certainly the biggest mind work out yet, but I loved it! Matt's words at the end about growing the developer mindset and just trying something out even if you're not 100% sure really resonated with me.
Easy and engaging. I've tried other courses before that are very boring and have so much reading. The SheCodes videos are great and I love that Matt doesn't try to get you to memorize hundreds of elements and attributes. He just teaches you how to find what your looking for instead on trying to memorize.
