I've enjoyed my SheCodes Bootcamp journey so far. Matt's tutorials were succinct and informative. What's great is that what I've learned in three weeks has enabled me to start working on a personal web project that I've wanted to do for a long time. Well, I needed an inspiration for my SheCodes Basics final project so it's a good time to start on it even if it's only the landing page. LOL!
This week's works was amazing. I truly witnessed that there is a lot one can do with coding. With the correct 'language' and application thereof you can do a million different things. Thank you, Matt, for your work, time and dedication to these lessons they are truly helpful.
I can't express how much I enjoyed the SheCodes Bootcamp journey. It was not like some other training bootcamps that I have completed, where they throw everything (but the kitchen sink) at you in a short period of time. This approach doesn't really work for me as there is no time to really put into practice what you have learned. SheCodes was different, as it allowed me to pace myself and move onto the next workshop when I was ready. Matt's tutorials were clear, targeted and informative and it was a pleasure listening to him. The Slack community was invaluable and I thank all of the moderators and SheCodes trainees who helped me along the way, and made the journey even more enjoyable. Thank you everyone.

I started this course with absolutely no coding experience - just an interest in working remotely, using my basic graphic design skills and an interest in tech! The lessons are really well formatted and easy to follow, I take notes and screenshots throughout and make sure I do the challenges and homework promptly to ensure the best outcomes. Really chuffed - everyone should do this if they are interested.
Matt made it so easy to learn the basics of front-end development. The lessons are very short and digestible. I used to think that coding was beyond me but going through the SheCodes Basics course you learn step by step.

SheCodes Responsive was a rather challenging module. Here, I got to learn and expound on my previous coding knowledge, and learn about Responsive Websites. At first, it was difficult . However, with loads of practice, I was able to perfect the coding techniques. I am grateful to Matt Delac for bein g open and honest during this module :)
I had been running away from programming for over 10 years! Every time I saw code β whether in Java, C#, or Python β my mind would automatically shut down. It always looked so complicated and exhausting! Little did I know that all I was missing was a bit of understanding. Mattβs teaching style deserves 100%! The way he breaks everything down makes coding so easy to comprehend.

This week was full of challenges and growth for me. Understanding and getting used to adding a grid and different themes took a long time, but Iβm really glad I got there eventually. Iβm excited to keep practicing and solidifying these concepts. It was also very helpful to build parts of this project alongside Mattβs video explanations of his own project!
This was the toughest 8 week learning programme, where I learnt about Bootstrap and Hosting, which was a bit challenging, but what matters is I did not give up and I pushed to the end! Thank you SheCodes !!
The workshop brings a lot of practice and good knowledge of coding foundations. Matt is very clear and his methodology help advancing. The slack channels are very useful to find information.
I can't express how amazing this workshop was, I was quite nervous at first because I am a total beginner but Matt explains every step so well that not understanding is quite impossible haha, I can't wait for the next workshops.

From learning my first HTML to building intearctive decision-making systems into a landing page, I've come further in my understanding of how interactive web pages work than I thought possible at the outset of this journey. Matt covered so much ground, all the while making me feel like my hand was held through those first nervous bits of code. I always got the feeling that I ultimately dictated the pace of my own learning. No unnecessary pressure, no patronising. Only progress!
React ROCKS! And Matt does too - this was really easy to follow and I fell in love with React. I like that Matt keeps it simple but mentions how to continue if one is interested - e.g. he mentioned state management for the unit switch and this helped me investigate and make the switch work with a few more clicks. :)
Another interesting workshop completed! This workshop helped me gain a massive appreciation for APIs and AI. I am truly grateful to Matt Delac and the team for their continued support and guidance, and I am excited about the next workshop.

I really enjoyed python, at first i thought it was going to be difficult, it turn out to be much fun, one great thing if python uses words not symbols or abbriviation like from html and java. My outstanding is Matt is a really good teacher, step by step you get to understand every detail.
What I learned the most in this course is that 'default' and 'devault' may rhyme in German, but in JavaScript they rhyme with undefined (just kidding). Like Matt said at the end of SheCodes Plus, the project itself may look simple, but the journey it's a little bit more complicated than that. Along with SheCodes training, I watched support material, burned through all my hosting credits, which led me to a side quest through CloudFlare setup training + GitHub repo literacy. In the end, my little vanilla weather app not only works, it also gained much more confidence, each bug fixed, each feature added made the whole process feel more real.

I recently completed the Python AI workshop and found it incredibly insightful. The hands-on focus on APIs and AI showed me how coding skills act as a scaffold to understand, debug, and get more from these tools. In a world full of βvibe codingβ and AI-assisted shortcuts, itβs easy to question the value of learning to code but this workshop reinforced why coding matters and why humans are essential for guiding AI effectively. I left with a deeper understanding and confidence to harness these technologies moving forward.
The workshop was slightly challenging but i really love and appreciate how Matt makes the lessons engaging and easy to follow.
I just wrapped up my world clock project and Iβm genuinely thrilled with the result. It wasnβt easy. There were moments I felt stuck, but the guided, step-by-step approach made all the difference. Instead of copying code blindly, I learned why each code snippet existed and how it fit together. Concepts like selecting the right time zone and updating the current time on a set interval finally clicked. Honestly, doing all of this on my own wouldβve been very difficult without the step-by-step guidance of the SheCodes instructor Matt Delac. But along the way I picked up a ton: cleaner structure and clearer logic. Now I feel confident enough to rebuild the whole World Clock from scratch. Iβm proud of how far Iβve come and excited to keep going.
Learnt quite a lot, it has not been an easy journey but Matt makes it bearable and interesting. Looking forward to more happy coding days. I highly recommend SheCodes.
I learned HTML, CSS, and JavaScript at school. At the time, I found JavaScript very difficult. Matt explains it in such a clear and accessible way. Now I even enjoy it. I always look forward to continuing with my lessons. I can't wait for the next modules, so I can learn even more.

I really enjoyed the She Codes Python Basics workshop and learnt a lot along the way. Some concepts took a little while to click, but eventually did while following along with the videos. Others were more straightforward, and many built seamlessly on what Iβd learnt in previous She Codes workshops. The highlight was the final week, where I got to build an interactive weather app with Mattβs guidance.

This has been an incredible journey of learning a new skill. For some time I've wanted to learn how to code, and with this particular program I feel like learning has been enjoyable. Going straight to a more complex, backend language is not ideal for beginners. Matt knows his audience and his team does an excellent job keeping a balance between webinars and practical application.

Working on my 'AI Daily Challenge Generator' project has been an amazing experience. I wanted to build something that not only pushed my coding skills but also helped others stay motivated to learn new things every day. Integrating the AI API wasnβt easy, but I have learned so much along the way and it really stretched my problem-solving skills. Through this AI generator project, I explored AI tools, strengthened my coding abilities, and learned how to turn a simple idea into a functional project. I came to SheCodes Basics with a frustrating problem: I could copy and paste code snippets and make things work, but I had no real understanding of why they worked or how to fix them when they broke. I was essentially a code copier, not a programmer. This surface-level approach left me constantly hitting walls. When something didn't work as expected, I'd spend hours trying random solutions from Stack Overflow without understanding the underlying logic. I could build functional pages by piecing together tutorials, but debugging felt like pure guesswork. SheCodes Basics changed that completely. Matt's teaching approach focuses on the "why" behind every concept, not just the "how." Instead of just showing us syntax, he explained the reasoning behind HTML structure, the cascade in CSS, and the logic flow in JavaScript. This foundational understanding was exactly what I'd been missing.Now when I encounter issues, I can methodically identify where things are going wrong instead of randomly trying solutions. I understand the connection between HTML structure and CSS selectors, why JavaScript functions behave certain ways, and how different parts of a webpage interact with each other. Building the tribute website for my Akita Inu, Sakura, became an exercise in applying these debugging skills in real time. When the background image wouldn't display or the responsive layout broke, I could systematically work through the problem instead of panicking. SheCodes didn't just teach me to code better - it taught me to think like a developer and search and solve problems with logic rather than luck.
I'm very satisfied with the courses. Matt explains thoroughly how to carry out the project, making it easy to follow along and learn. I'm looking forward to the upcoming courses!
Not sure where to start job hunting, SheCodes next is it! Matt gives you great tips and advice on how to build your CV from stratch, find your niche and improve your coding skills in the mean time. I'm looking forward to learning more in the future and I am just about ready for the next step.
