Starting coding from scratch seemed like such a massive undertaking, until I started this course! I enjoyed it so much, I've completed it in a week and can't wait to continue with Plus. Matt makes coding accessible and manageable for anybody, and the SheCodes system and platform has made it all unbelievably easy.

This course helped me understand how to use JavaScript and Axios to integrate a weather forecast API in a real, practical way. What I appreciated most was Matt's genuine teaching style, showing not only the correct solutions, but also common mistakes and how to troubleshoot them. Learning the problem solving process step by step gave me more confidence to debug and build on my own

This has been the most rewarding workshop. Web development is definitely challenging, but I have enjoyed the lessons that Matt has provided; they are clear to understand and enjoyable.

SheCodes Plus was a great start to learning to code. Matt's lessons are clear and step by step, and you can tell he enjoys what he does. The javascript portions are tricky, but coding is all about getting the reps in. After only the first few weeks of the Plus course I was able to make significant changes to my report generator web program at work - changing the layout to be more sleek and user friendly, and adding better work flow functionality for my technicians. So much more to learn, but I'm very happy I used SheCodes as my intro to coding.

The SheCodes Advanced Web Development course empowered me to build a fully functional World Clock project, combining modern JavaScript, Moment.js, and responsive design principles. The AI API Add On is clear, practical, and easy to follow. Matt provides step-by-step instructions, along with the challenges that reinforce the learning process.

React add on course was quite challenging for me. It required me to think critically. There were times i even got headaches because i was failling to figure out were i was getting it all wrong. Fortunately, SheCodes has a platform called Slacks where you can ask all challenging questions and get help from the Shecodes team and team mates. Would like to thank Matt for this opportunity. I have gained problem solving skills by doing this course and it was such a wonderful experience.Once again thank you MattDelac and team for this opportunity.

React has been my favorite of all the languages to learn. It's easy to see how powerful it is. I appreciate how Matt walks us through each project step-by step. And it was a nice challenge to use a different API than the one Matt was using, because it tested my understanding of the principles. I learned a lot.

I learned so much in the SheCodes Responsive class, and I really appreciate how clearly Matt explains every concept. Certainly, this has been the biggest challenge on this bootcamp. Coding with React has shown me that it is possible to do everything that I had already learned in a more practical way, wich doesn't mean that it was easier to grasp the language's logic. Nonetheless, I truly enjoyed this process and I am also so happy to be getting nearer to the end point of this bootcamp. Once again, thank you, Matt!

Hands down one of my favourite workshops. The workshops have been arranged so that you can get to this point. If you were to start here without any background in coding you would feel like you were on a different plane. Everything that we were taught from the beginning with HTML, CSS, Javascript embedded code from Google Fonts and Font Awesome set us up to be able to understand how to use Bootstrap, Responsive as well as other platforms. I am so very proud of myself and all that I have accomplished so far. A huge thank you to Matt and the team. I am nearing the end of my SheCodes journey as a student and will soon hopefully start a chapter as a Junior Developer. I feel confident, hopeful and excited to enter it and it's all because of these fantastic workshops. To other students out there, I don’t know where you may be on your learning journey whether you are a student or thinking about becoming one. I want to encourage you to start or continue on this path. It’s not easy but step-by-step, little by little you will get there. There’s a great team and other students here to cheer you on.

I have finally completed the SheCodes Plus Workshop. These past few weeks have been a bit challenging, balancing between school work and the program. I am glad that my hard work did pay, with late nights trying to meet weekly deadlines. I also love what I created in my final project, a weather app with a search engine that displays the weather conditions of the city searched, as well as the city's 5-day weather forecast. I got to polish my JavaScript skills with the help of the weekly lessons and homeworks given by our instructor, Matt Delac.

I have completed the SheCodes Plus AI Workshop, and I’m honestly so proud of the progress I've made. I managed to finish everything within the two weeks given, and the experience was both challenging and incredibly rewarding. My final project involved building a form that, when searched, generates a Kenyan cuisine recipe using JavaScript's responsiveness. Improving my JavaScript skills and building something that felt meaningful really boosted my confidence as a developer. I am really proud of what I've created through the lessons given by our instructor, Matt Delac.

On somedays I have been hooked on to solving challenges and do my homework. I took this starter class as part of my professional development as a brand manager. I have dabbled very lightly in HTML and a little bit of CSS in the past but nothing too in-depth. I, like many other students, found the course structure very helpful! With as complex a topic as this, Matt does an excellent job of breaking down the different skills in very digestible chunks. The lesson videos are never more than 10 minutes or so, and he provides so many resources to find help, connect with other students, or learn the basic tools that are industry standards. The way he walked through each video was also very encouraging and I never felt dumb. I honestly found the course not too challenging (not to say I didn't get slightly held up at points) which I think is a testament to how well taught it is. Thank you Matt and the SheCodes team!

This week’s workshop/project around building a World Clock was by far the most challenging for me. The learning curve felt steep, and I quickly realized that Matt wasn’t exaggerating when he said that working with dates, and understanding them, is impressive because of how complex it can be! I joined SheCodes feeling quite intimidated by code, but this workshop changed that completely. The lessons are short, clear, and very well structured, and I really like how each concept is followed immediately by a small exercise or project. Building real projects with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (like the landing page with dark/light mode and animations) helped me understand why I was writing each line of code, not just copying it. Matt’s explanations are friendly and motivating, and the platform makes it easy to follow along at my own pace. It's great that it's recorded, so when the recording screen doesn't match what I see on my computer, I can back the recording and analyze where it went wrong. Often it's a typo. The idea is that humans do best when a task is about 4-5% greater than their current abilities, enough to be engaged and prevent boredom but not so challenging that the person gets frustrated and gives up. Matt has a very good intuition for this. Each lesson or challenge contains just enough of an increase in difficulty to build confidence and encourage the student to keep learning.

Shecodes approach for teaching coding is tremendous. During learning, we had to do the assignments otherwise we could not jump to the next one. I personally watch only videos instead of practicing which is not a good habit but this method of Matt forces students to practice. I love the everything. The past few weeks on this have been an incredible learning experience! From revising HTML/CSS/JS to diving into APIs and using them to integrate data into the app, the design of this workshop was very helpful. Having the chance to work on the project alongside Matt, who was working on his own, made a huge difference. It helped avoid bugs and provided the benefit of having a (kind of) coding partner. The explanations were thorough and easy to follow. This workshop will be especially enjoyable for anyone looking for a challenge, and the results will leave you feeling really proud of what you have accomplished!

The lessons were a clear and engaging introduction to programming, easy to follow and perfectly paced for beginners. Matt’s explanations made Python easy to understand. The final projects were both fun and practical, helping me understand how Python can be used in real situations.

I am amazed at how this learning process has given me the confidence to code an entire website. The last time I did it, I used WordPress, and everything seemed so confusing — doable, but confusing, because I didn’t understand the background of what I was doing. But now, I can build it from scratch and personalize everything I need and want. This is the first step in the creation of my portfolio website and, as an Architect, a step that gives me full freedom to display my Projects in the way I see fit for them. This project was so hard to build, it had a lot of complex functionalities that needed to be added. I spent a lot of hours doing trial and error, but it was worth it in the end and my project is up and running now ! Thanks to SheCodes and Matt for this learning opportunity.

I have learnt a lot whilst juggling so much. But the most important thing, is to keep going no matter what you're feeling because you'll never know what awaits you on the other side. Code your way to the top, and ignore the noise.

This was a tough one! My first project using React application. Very challenging but a lot of fun! Matt, allowed us to figure things out ourselves at the same time guiding us through the entire project. He is an excellent teacher. Very excited to continue with more coding adventures! ^_^

As with all the SheCodes courses I've done so far, this was another brilliant one! Matt's easy to follow breakdowns within each video helped me to gain a fantastic understanding of how to build a response website. It was amazing that I was able to build a portfolio project to bring together all my work ready for future opportunities.
