SheCodes Basics was a lot of fun and helped to fill in many gaps within my self-acquired knowledge of the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It has also given me a more comprehensive understanding of coding and what it can do. I am very thankful for the thorough explanations, the wonderful way the workshop is broken down into bite-size portions, and the fact that we are challenged and encouraged to interact further with the language beyond the lesson and make our own discoveries along the way. Assuring a student comprehends and has proper command over the language is something that is often overlooked in online workshops, so I very much appreciate Matt's method!

This year, I made the deliberate choice to dive back into my coding journey after giving up in 2018. This was incredibly fun and insightful - a lot of the JS was quite intuitive so it was easy to follow along with Matt's instructions.

This is my 4th course already and I can't believe all the things that I learnt. The way of the lessons are structured and how Matt teach makes easily to follow. I'm very proud of myself because I graduate more than 10 years ago and make a routine to sit down and learn was not easy. But as I said the structure of the lesson helps to make them easy to follow. My knowledge about tech was only as customer, but now that I learn a little bit more, I want to keep learning and make this my new job.

I really enjoyed this workshop. Matt explains everything in a simple, digestible way. I have ADD and long learning videos are usually super tiring for me, so the short moduls were great. Same for the challenges with deadlines - I learn best by physically doing the thing I'm studying (plus I'm more likely to actually practice, if someone else is "waiting" for a result), so this was great, aswell. Looking forward to the next one!
The course gives step-by-step instructions how to start with React, create components, use state, fetch data using API. SheCodes Plus Add-On was another great workshop by Matt! I really enjoyed diving deeper into javascript and enjoyed building a new and exciting project in such a short period of time.
This project is a great guide for anyone wanting help to finalize a portfolio page. If you already have knowledge of building websites, Matt is also giving you tools how to climb the Google ranks.
I have really enjoyed SheCodes so far! I love that it feels as if they thought of any possible event/question that you might have and gave you the tools to overcome them before you even had to reach out for help! Matt is also incredibly good at explaining things simply and logically, which makes learning much more enjoyable. I used to see coding as something only a few (that had studied for years and years) could understand, but thanks to SheCodes, now I know that if you have the right people to teach you and have your heart set to learn it, you can start understanding a few things since day 1!

As someone with no IT background, I thought to myself "what have I gotten myself into this time around?", the moment I saw all the codes that I couldn't read or understand, I really thought I wouldn't even finish the Intro course as I didn't even have the confident to continue with the first lesson, but to my surprise I fell in love with coding and wanting to code more and it was all because of my wonderful instructor Matt. He made coding seem very easy and enjoyable, which made me want to learn more about coding. I'm glad I decided to join SheCodes, it's amazing how quickly one can acquire new skills so fast only because of this wonderful workshop and great teacher, who made it easy and enjoyable to learn.

Shecodes is the best foundation ever. When I started this journey I did not know anything about coding but Shecodes assessments help you understand better and example that they have give you better understand. Matt is a great teacher he explains everything and although the classes are online but you will feel like he’s talking to face-to -face . Coding is great! It seemed like a great idea until you see the actual code behind all these amazing web pages and applications. Coding made so much easier and fun. I would recommend taking this course anyone out there who thought that coding was for boys and few bright girls, Matt taught me this is for everyone. As a total beginner with absolutely 0 knowledge about coding whatsoever, I'd say this was an excellent introduction to the world of coding. Matt is a great teacher and explains everything in simple words which makes it super easy to grasp. Also, love that he didn't spoon feed the concepts and made his students use their knowledge & logic to complete assignments.
As someone who has always been curious about the world of programming but never knew where to start, this class was a game-changer for me. From day one, it was evident that the instructor was not only an expert in the field, but also a gifted educator. Matt has the ability to break down complex concepts into digestible chunks, making even the most intimidating programming languages seem approachable. The class welcomed questions and fostered an environment where everyone felt comfortable asking for help. Every coding challenge became a thrilling adventure for me. SheCodes Plus has come to an end and I obtained my Web Development Certificate🎉 To be honest it was such a great adventure and throughout these past 8 weeks, I’ve experienced different feelings. Sometimes I was exhausted and confused and other times I had unbelievable happiness and confidence for completing a challenging task in the right manner. All in all, I’ve enjoyed every step of this journey of building my own weather app. And last but not least, I want to express my gratitude to amazing Matthieu Delac for your awesome way of teaching, and also to João Lopes, Bruno Torres, and all the other incredible members of the SheCodes team for supporting me relentlessly.
