React ROCKS! And Matt does too - this was really easy to follow and I fell in love with React. I like that Matt keeps it simple but mentions how to continue if one is interested - e.g. he mentioned state management for the unit switch and this helped me investigate and make the switch work with a few more clicks. :)

I really enjoyed python, at first i thought it was going to be difficult, it turn out to be much fun, one great thing if python uses words not symbols or abbriviation like from html and java. My outstanding is Matt is a really good teacher, step by step you get to understand every detail.
What I learned the most in this course is that 'default' and 'devault' may rhyme in German, but in JavaScript they rhyme with undefined (just kidding). Like Matt said at the end of SheCodes Plus, the project itself may look simple, but the journey it's a little bit more complicated than that. Along with SheCodes training, I watched support material, burned through all my hosting credits, which led me to a side quest through CloudFlare setup training + GitHub repo literacy. In the end, my little vanilla weather app not only works, it also gained much more confidence, each bug fixed, each feature added made the whole process feel more real.

I recently completed the Python AI workshop and found it incredibly insightful. The hands-on focus on APIs and AI showed me how coding skills act as a scaffold to understand, debug, and get more from these tools. In a world full of βvibe codingβ and AI-assisted shortcuts, itβs easy to question the value of learning to code but this workshop reinforced why coding matters and why humans are essential for guiding AI effectively. I left with a deeper understanding and confidence to harness these technologies moving forward.
The workshop was slightly challenging but i really love and appreciate how Matt makes the lessons engaging and easy to follow.
I just wrapped up my world clock project and Iβm genuinely thrilled with the result. It wasnβt easy. There were moments I felt stuck, but the guided, step-by-step approach made all the difference. Instead of copying code blindly, I learned why each code snippet existed and how it fit together. Concepts like selecting the right time zone and updating the current time on a set interval finally clicked. Honestly, doing all of this on my own wouldβve been very difficult without the step-by-step guidance of the SheCodes instructor Matt Delac. But along the way I picked up a ton: cleaner structure and clearer logic. Now I feel confident enough to rebuild the whole World Clock from scratch. Iβm proud of how far Iβve come and excited to keep going.

The highlight was the final week, where I got to build an interactive weather app with Mattβs guidance.

Working on my 'AI Daily Challenge Generator' project has been an amazing experience. I came to SheCodes Basics with a frustrating problem: I could copy and paste code snippets and make things work, but I had no real understanding of why they worked or how to fix them when they broke. I was essentially a code copier, not a programmer. This surface-level approach left me constantly hitting walls. When something didn't work as expected, I'd spend hours trying random solutions from Stack Overflow without understanding the underlying logic. I could build functional pages by piecing together tutorials, but debugging felt like pure guesswork. SheCodes Basics changed that completely. Matt's teaching approach focuses on the "why" behind every concept, not just the "how." Instead of just showing us syntax, he explained the reasoning behind HTML structure, the cascade in CSS, and the logic flow in JavaScript. This foundational understanding was exactly what I'd been missing.Now when I encounter issues, I can methodically identify where things are going wrong instead of randomly trying solutions. I understand the connection between HTML structure and CSS selectors, why JavaScript functions behave certain ways, and how different parts of a webpage interact with each other. Building the tribute website for my Akita Inu, Sakura, became an exercise in applying these debugging skills in real time. When the background image wouldn't display or the responsive layout broke, I could systematically work through the problem instead of panicking. SheCodes didn't just teach me to code better - it taught me to think like a developer and search and solve problems with logic rather than luck.

I really enjoyed Matt's approach of "jump in the water, do it NOW". The lessons don't give you much of a chance to stop and consider that you might not be able to do the thing, or any other type of self-doubt. All the information is there, it's easy to access, very well presented, and there is a lot of support in place. I also massively appreciate the constant encouragement to do your own research and experiment with code, and the reassurance that there is not one correct answer. I am a very anxious learner, and feel like I need to write everything down, but this approach made me more confident; the cheatsheets took away the need to write everything down. In the end, I had more time, energy, and focus to understand what I was being taught and play around with code after completing my homework.
This week was a bit more tougher and challenging than the last, but I am glad I got to learn new concepts and elements of code that make my work not only look cleaner but nicer too, as a more visual individual!
