I really like how Matt explains everything in an easy way and also lets you know the most common mistakes to watch out for. As well as give us examples and tools to find solutions online. I've been learning a lot!
The best introduction to coding, the lessons by Matt were easy to comprehend and follow along. I loved it and truly grateful for this opportunity to learn and build some fun, interactive and cool projects.

I am very grateful to Matt for helping me learn how to code via Shecodes. I am a mom to an 8 month old baby and it was not easy having to attend class and take care of my baby at the same time. However the way this workshop was design, it made it easy for me to learn whenever I was free. Due to this program I am now very much interested in doing more coding and furthering my studies.

Having completed the SheCodes Basics program, I was initially apprehensive about whether I would be able to keep up with the curriculum as it involved a new programming language (Javascript). However, from day one, Matt's lessons were comprehensive, the community was supportive. As I said in the previous testimonial I gave on completing the Basics, what I appreciated most about the SheCodes was the emphasis on hands-on, project-based learning. Instead of just reading about coding concepts in a textbook or watching lectures, we were actually coding from day one. Not only did this help solidify the concepts we were learning, but it also made the learning process more enjoyable and engaging. It's undeniable that there were hard times but going through the videos and working on the weekly projects helped me get better at it. I spent weeks trying to learn HTML, CSS, and Java script. Matt explained it clearly in 3 days. I learned how to implement new design ideas and use basic functions. Within 3 weeks with SheCodes, I've learnt how to do a landing page that I'm proud of. I can say that SheCodes helped with my confidence and self-esteem in this last few weeks. I really enjoyed this workshop, it give me a different perspective on coding I've never had before (and I've worked for over 8 years in the SaaS industry 😬 but in the Customer Success department). I've been away from coding for a wee while, I needed to get up to speed again, quite quickly. SheCodes Basics is a good course for newbies or those like myself who want to jump right back in with both feet and rediscover the enjoyment of coding once again. Individual experiences will vary, of course, but I found Matt's explanations of HTML, CSS and JS + related content really easy to understand. I love the PowerPuff girls-esk branding and the positive, supportive vibes from the SheCodes Slack community and the library of provided tools and resources from Matt. The feedback on weekly assignments, plus the accountability from setout timeframes is great for someone like myself with ADHD.

When I first started coding with sheCodes Basic I did not have any idea what I was doing. But after completing basics I got some confidence in coding. Also, I found it super fun thing to do. Today after completing the Plus workshop I feel like I have chose the prefect career for me, all thanks to SheCodes and Matt. The way this workshop is designed is awesome from basics to advance level. The online slack community is very useful, whenever I get any confusion I ask question on the slack and someone from the team get back to me really fast. Recently they have introduced Athena AI which I believe is super cool and useful feature. She could even write you a code if you are not sure how or from where to start. it was an interesting experience🥰 i really enjoyed learning responsiveness using both the normal method and bootstrap. I have really enjoyed learning something completely new and different from what I am used to. It is a whole lot of small wins for me when I get a piece of code to work by just applying a bit of focus and logical thinking, I celebrate. Matt's videos are easy to follow step by step. I strongly suggest completing the Responsive Add-on workshop from SheCodes! Although learning about grids and tables was difficult, Matt made it easy to comprehend.
