I took a very pleasant learning experience on introduction to programming through SheCodes, because the course is structured in a very dynamic and enjoyable way in which you do not need to have previous knowledge to know three of the main languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript and with the help of these create your own website in a basic way, plus each lesson is described in an easy and understandable way by Matt Delac, who also always tries to motivate you to achieve the challenge with his messages of encouragement. I, as a native Spanish speaker and with an intermediate level of English, was a little afraid at first not to follow the idea of the course, however despite my doubts and as I followed the classes, I have ended up positively surprised at how well thought out and organized is the learning platform in English. Now, I have enrolled in another compact course, which I am very curious to visit. Many thanks to the entire SheCodes team for their interesting work in imparting knowledge of the vast world of web development. Thanks also to SheCodes I have dared to lose my fear of programming.

I come from under privilaged background where I could not afford to go to University. I was currently doing my Supply Chain Management course online and I met this lady on TikTok who spoke about SheCodes Foundation which helps woman to achieve a qualification as a Software developer. At first I was scared of that big name but I was anxious to know more. SheCodes came not as a stepping stone but made me realize what career I want to achieve. I thought it would be difficult but Matt simplified everything and made it easy to understand and not be scared of a black and green screen. I am very greatful.

Before joining SheCodes, I had no idea what coding was. And because of that I anticipated it would be challenging to learn or even understand, but Matt made it simple to comprehend. All I had ever known was science, and I never in a million years imagined that I would be here today writing code. I can state with confidence that I know what HTML, CSS and Javascript basic is and I can create websites, not yet professional, but I do know a few things. All I can say is that I'm eager to study more and develop my skills because the future looks too promising. Who knows, maybe I, a South African woman, might return and claim that I also work for Google. Crazy right!

The Responsive workshop was great as all SheCodes workshops I've taken so far. Programming can seem boring, but the way Matt teaches makes it fun and at the end of each workshop you feel good about yourself. It is pretty awesome.
Matt is a great teacher and the Slack moderators are encouraging and always there when you need them! I found the weather app to be a bit challenging, but I'm happy to have learned more about Javascript, and so happy with the end result of my weather project.

By far, this workshop was my favorite one. I really enjoyed learning React and it made me realize how much faster coding can be using React because I have built two weather applications, one using only CSS, HTML, and JavaScript and the other one with React and although the latter seemed complicated at first but was much easier once you get the hang of it.
