I had so much fun with this workshop. I was first curious and after taking the free coding workshop I knew I wanted to learn more. Coding has become a fun and creative way to create pages about things I like, while also learning skills to benefit my career growth. Thank you Matt for the easily understandable lessons and fun exercises. I have now enrolled in SheCodes Max to maximize my coding learning from SheCodes. If you're thinking about it, definitely take the plunge and sign up for the Basics workshop to see if coding is for you!
This was a really challenging! JS is something that makes my head turn around, I cannot say that I am completely comfortable with it. The lessons are very clear, watching coding step by step really helps as some things are really confusing. What I like the most – that Matt is explaining the logics behind every move he makes and underlines that there are more ways to achieve the same result. He pushes to find thing out by myself. Only that I feel that my brain in a bit behind still :) I hope that with time and more coding I will get used to JS and it will get better.
Matt's lessons are very well presented and easy to understand. This course allows you to learn while watching, with hands on challenges and homework. It is also nice to have help when needed on Slack.
React workshop is the last one in a series of Shecodes workshops I took part in. It was more tough with challenging homework but finally I could make it with the guidance of my Shecodes tutor Matt via lessons. The skills from this workshop will be really invaluable! Thanks a lot Matt and Shecodes support team!
SheCodes has been such an epic blessing to my life! I have learned so much from the past year, and now I am ready to transition to the next chapter of my career. I have particularly enjoyed this course because it's definitely boosted my confidence when it comes to JS functions. I do admit React can be quite counterintuitive at times but Matt has done an excellent job at explaining the process step-by-step. I am so very grateful to SheCodes for everything I have learned, I can't wait to learn more about React as it's definitely the field I would like to steer my career towards.
My husband is a web developer and has always encouraged me to learn how to code. I wasn't sure if I would like it so was looking for an introductory course that I could fit around working and being a mom of two young kids. I liked how I could do the lessons from home at times that suited me. The home work deadlines kept me accountable and encouraged me to stick to my learning schedule. Matt is a great instructor and my favourite part of the course was the challenges.

Round 3 of SheCodes workshops was as informative, interesting and entertaining as the first. I was able to use many of the HTML and CSS techniques we learned in Basics and Plus. I really enjoyed the creative freedom we got for this portfolio project. Though there were some moments of confusion and stress with my code, I was able to pull through with the help of Matt's lecture videos and the slack chats of fellow SheCodes students. I am really happy with my project and I can't wait to start on SheCodes React and Add-on projects.

A really hectic week. Very challenging, very informative. I've learnt so much from Matt's classes, the program is very supportive. I also love how the team isn't spoonfeeding, and leaves room for you to consult other resources such as Google in order to find ways to deal with other challenges as well as be creative. I found this workshop very intuitive and very enjoyable; Matt and his team did a really lovely job breaking everything down into digestible pieces. I've taken a few online courses over the years, but it is safe to say that SheCodes tops them all by far. Matt is highly skilled at breaking down complex information into manageable and understandable chunks in a logical order that allows you to gradually build a solid foundation of knowledge, which is further reinforced by the demonstrations and examples provided in the lessons, and your own practice via the lesson challenges, homework and projects. As a visual and practical learner, these methods have helped me so so much, and I've learned and retained so much more than I was ever expecting. Kudos to Matt and his team for developing a fun but informative way for women (especially busy working class females) to learn coding. This is a course that every female should pursue because not only are you armed with another skillset, but you will be in a network of smart females. My feedback on this course: I got value for my money, course was presented in a well written and sequential way. The course weekly assessments were of very high standard and the entire hands-on approach was what made this course suitable for females of every walks and background. I strongly recommend this coding course to every single females in every single country around the world!!!

I would highly recommend SheCodes. Not only is Matt a great teacher, but the fact that money from the workshops goes to fund the SheCodes Foundation to support women around the world is a bonus. Until now I have struggled with coding, it never seemed to 'click' with me. After being laid off from work the week before Christmas I decided to do something to boost my hireability. After completing this workshop I actually feel that I can code. It has been a major confidence boost and I look forward to continuing with more advanced SheCodes workshops.

Not only did I learn a lot about how to make sure the websites I'm building are also responsive & easy to be viewed on smaller pages (like from a phone), but at the end, I even came out with a beautiful portfolio that I now cannot wait to expand with even more projects! I love learning so much about making a website responsive. What I appreciate more is that we learned how to make a website responsive without the use of a framework such as Bootstrap. It is possible to do many things with vanilla HTML and CSS. Thank you so much Matt!

For someone with 0 coding background, SheCodes Basics taught me how to build a website from scratch using HTML, CSS and Javascript! The videos are easy to follow as well, Matt explained very well a lot of fundamental theories and why certain steps need to be followed. I can understand the instructions 99% of the time. I look forward to continuing further with coding, especially web development.
SheCodes is a great way to learn to code. The videos are easy to understand and well explained. I've already learned a bit of code on free platforms, but Matt gave me additional tips and tricks during the basic workshop that are very useful and make coding much easier. Matt is passionate about what he does and his idea to start SheCodes is just wonderful in my opinion! Many thanks for that. (I also really enjoyed the SheCodes Radio during my coding sessions).

It was a very nice experience and I learned a lot in this basic workshop. Matt explains very well and the course is very structured. For the moment I will stick with the basics and do easy websites for friends. But my plan for next year is definetly to do the SheCode MAX Workshop and to go all in. I started coding with Mr. Matt. I totally started from scratch and I am delighted to see my metamorphosis in me after 6+ months of coding. Never have I ever imagined that I could continue my coding journey especially after my post-partum. The videos are short and covers everything to become a Frond-end Developer. I am also over the moon because I did something which I have always wanted to do. I had a flair for technology. I know its just a drop in the ocean but still its from the ocean. It was not an easy course. I felt stuck and couldn't move forward a couple of times, but the Shecodes team and community came to the rescue and helped me through the challenge. I have always been curious to understand what the word "coding" was all about, one of the most heard words lately... I had no idea, a lot of fear but more curiosity. It's been three weeks and I NEVER thought I could have advanced so much from a starting point in which, I was completely null in the field. It has been three super fun weeks, what a nice way Matt explained the steps in detail, with a lot of clarity. I realized that it is not impossible, that it is an exciting world and that if I keep practicing I will be able to keep falling in love with it. Thanks SheCodes, I lost my fear, you have allowed me to prove to myself that I can do it!
