Great workshop layout. Matt did a great job as an instructor. I was able to learn so much in just 2 weeks and get excited to see my first lines of code coming into reality.
I have loved every minute of this workshop, diving into some advanced HTML/CSS/JavaScript. It was not easy, but the clear explanations and encouraging words of Matt, and the support of the supportteam on Slack really help you get through. The knowledge I gained and the results of the final project are amazing and really motivate me to learn more! I'm ready for the next workshop! :)

My coding journey so far has been eventful, intriguing, and above all a well of knowledge. With Shecodes plus, I now understand how javascript functions work. It has been so helpful to be able to learn coding on my own time by watching Matt's thorough tutorial videos. A big part of what makes this course very helpful as well is the Slack community. Being able to see similar issues others face and seeing solutions is a big help when I would get stuck. I'm a UI/UX Designer, so I don't need to create code in my job, but this course has made it much easier for me to talk with developers and I am now more comfortable exploring code in inspect mode in order to find things out myself. I am a mom of 2 very young children who doesn't have much time to learn, and consider myself a slow learner. I was hesitant to start at first, however I found Matt's way of teaching was so easy to understand as he really guide me step by step. I also love how Matt encourages us to look for answers in Google and it was quite easy to find solutions in Slack. Shecodes team had been very friendly and gave a fast response to my enquiries. I've never thought learning how to code can be this fun! Thank you Matt and team! What I love most about this course is it's toughtfulness in arranging the packages from Basic to Max, so I can test the water to know whether or not I'll learn further about coding. Very well done!
I must admit that I wasn't expecting this to be quite this fun. I joined for practical reasons: I am an artist and I need to be able to create and curate my own page independently so that's why I initially joined. Now I am already feeling very comfortable with coding and it's only been a few days! Matt is a very very clear teacher and the extra resources and extra readings only enrich my knowledge. I must however add that I do have some previous experience with coding-like languages given that I now have 4 years of experience writing in LateX and some university experience with instructing a 3D printer and other lab equipment. I would advise a complete beginner to take it easy. Still! Couldn't have been smoother.
SheCodes Plus was a fulfilling journey for me - racked my brains as I was introduced to API (the most exciting part), worked on advanced Javascript, pieced everything together, and built my very own weather app. Love the bite-sized videos and how Matt provided industry advice and tips in his capacity as a professional coder (on top of being a teacher).
I have tested out a few other coding courses online but always ended up leaving and searching for a new one. Matt explained everything perfectly and even taught me how to do additional research to make my websites even better than what the homework requires me to do. The support from the SheCodes team was also a wonderful experience for me, I felt comfortable knowing that my questions are always welcome. I have been logging on every day for 2-3 weeks straight and I actually enjoy learning here, I will be completing the advanced workshops.

This workshop was a TOUGH one for me. However, I got through it! I have never been so proud of myself after completing something like I am now. I learnt a lot from the React add-on weeks...to be honest I felt challenging even harder before since it is quite confusing and didn't get it clearly. Although I finished all the lessons and am waiting for the Next week, I am always ready to review what I have done whenever I need to. First time I didn't know what to do when I decided to learn how to code, my start was right with Matt and SheCodes team, thanks for your support and great lessons!

SheCodes has been really a blessing to my learning journey. Matt is really a good teacher, breaks down concepts into bite sized chunks that do not make a student feel panicked. Although I already had some experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, Matt really helped me to fully understand the fundamentals by thoroughly explaining each concept which gave me the confidence to be able to write my own code without having to use google as much as I use to. I'm hoping to pursue a degree in computer science but wasn't sure if I'd really get the hang of coding or be genuinely interested for that matter. After seeing several videos and attending their webinar I decided to enroll in SheCodes and its been an amazing experience. I am amazed at this program! I have coded in the past but mostly HTML + CSS with no JavaScript. This beginner course really solidified my passion for coding and web design. I enjoyed how some challenged added elements we hadn't learned into them, allowing us to learn in the wild and be more resourceful.
