I never thought i could come near coding because i use to believe it's for people who are good with formulas haha just hearing javascript i feel sick so i feel am only good with Nutrition 😂 Before now i couldn't write a single line of code but see what i have built in 3 weeks of learning with Matt! The basics taught me that I really enjoy creating something with code. I've found a new hobby that I'd like to turn into a new career path. Matt's courses and teaching styles are incredibly easy to follow along with and the site is very engaging.

This course was amazing because it takes you by the hand and teaches you how to code, step by step. I love the Matt features in the course videos, making the learning fun. However above all, the course is well structured so it is easy to get inspired and implement the techniques. All in all, I expended a great time during this course.
React was certainly more challenging but in a good way. You get to see the difference between each workshop. React is more complex but Matt guides you and explains every single step for the projects. You get to learn and understand the each step for the components and every code. Also, the slack channel also helps you understand and add any new code you like to add to your project.
This program is easy to follow and the instruction is great! Even during the more difficult courses, Matt's explanations and examples make the information far less intimidating. I also like that we are doing real-life applications of the programs/languages during the courses. The programming cheat sheets, color gradients, etc., were an unexpected find but are super helpful and easy to navigate. Coding was something I always wanted to do and thought I could learn on my own, but as a mother of two young children, a workshop such as this is exactly what I needed to help me stay accountable, organized, and motivated to become certified as a Front-End Developer.
When I first joined this 3 week course I didn't know what to expect whatsoever, however after the first week of the classes I understood that this is what I love to do and how much potential I could have completing it. I found it very useful that I could push back the deadlines for the homework as I had university deadlines due too. Everything that Matt explained during the videos was clear and concise and very understandable.

I loved how straight forward and interactive this workshop was! I'm impressed with the way Matt was able to break down each coding language in a very simplistic way. We did it anyway! The wonderful ShеСodes project allowed me to get acquainted with Web development, and this allows me to now plan my further professional path. Development was sometimes fun, and sometimes it was not easy. Thanks to the support of the team, everything worked out! Matt Delac explains the theory perfectly, gives a lot of examples, students have support in Slack I recommend this course to anyone who wants to tie their career into Web Development and is unsure where to start.

I never ever suspected to love coding. It wasn't until recently, when i discovered "SheCodes" and signed up for the free coding class that i discovered exactly how creative the process of coding really is. I felt excited in a way i never would have imagined and so i signed up for the course. I have a long way to go and i'm in search for a balance between my full time job, after work activities and SheCodes courses now as well. thankfully, Matt created a safe space here on the platform to ask as many questions as you need in order to get where you want to be. And thanks to the entire SheCodes team i was able to follow the Basics course on my own time. I am very excited to continue my journey and i am looking forward to the next course!

I can't believe that I finally finish all the workshops from Basics to React in just a few months! React is one of the latest requirement for web development. I decided to start SheCodes a few months ago when considering a career shift from nursing. I started with SheCodes Basics and loved it! I signed up for SheCodes Pro and just finished the SheCodes Plus portion. I will admit, JavaScript has been challenging to learn since I started with zero knowledge about coding, but Matt makes it so fun and explains it really well. Not only am I learning completely new computer languages, but Matt is also teaching real world coding skills. While this weather app has been very challenging at times, there has always been resources to help me solve the problem when I get stuck. And I'm very proud of my final product! I gained how to switch between two themes, which is a really useful ability from The Basics Add-On. It was fascinating to learn about, and I can't wait to use it in my upcoming projects. I encountered some obstacles, but I got beyond them. I must admit that Javascript still causes me some discomfort, but I'm looking forward to the challenge. I enjoyed how Matt explains various methods; he doesn't simply demonstrate the code; he actually explains the reasoning behind it. I am looking forward to SheCodes Plus!
Very challenging! A big step up from HTML and CSS, however - I'm proud of what I achieved and have learned a lot over the past few weeks thanks to Matt and SheCodes.
I had a lot of fun working with React! It was a most logical library for me, and Matt made it very easy to understand. As always SheCodes gives you a great impulse for the first step into coding!

Before SheCodes, I had couple of attempts for learning programming but nothing really worked for me as I found it really boring and not that easy. But SheCodes changed my mind. The way Matt teaches programming is absolutely amazing in a way that not only learning becomes easy, but also the challenges become fun and exciting. I've tried coding in the past during my time at university. I immediately found it fascinating and fun, but I never really felt like I was part of the coding community or that I could comfortably ask for help. This greatly discouraged me during this time. I felt like maybe coding just isn't something I can do. It has been a number of years with small attempts to get back into coding here and there. I kept hearing about SheCodes and the success of thousands of women around the world who began with little to no coding experience. I began thinking, 'Maybe I really can do it!'. I attended the free workshop led by Matt and my intrigue with coding was instantly restored. His way of instructing made me feel confident that I can actually follow along and genuinely understand the lessons. I appreciate how he does not rush through the lessons and breaks them down into easily digestible videos. What has held me back in the past is my difficulty with reaching out for help. The SheCodes website has tons of resources right at my fingertips. Slack is also awesome for finding answers to questions I've had. It's also reassuring to know that I'm not alone with whatever question I have because it's often already been asked on Slack. The moderators are kind and highly responsive, it is a very encouraging and collaborative space. It's a great tool to have alongside the workshops. This is just the beginning of my coding journey, but I am so excited! I have big plans for my future career plans!
I learned so much in this basic course. I thought I was gonna struggle a lot more, but I didn't. Matt does a great job breaking down each lesson and explaining them. The best part about this platform is that you get homework after each lesson so you are forced to actually apply what you learned. SheCodes was a great experience for my first time diving into coding. I did find it to be a bit challenging and it is something that needs practice like learning a language. I found myself getting nervous about deadlines and it took me some time to really get some of the things down. The team is VERY helpful on the slack channel! The whole structure of SheCodes is great, with lessons divided step by step and some homework in between. Matt is very charismatic and his teaching is very humane, which allows you to relate to him and feel more comfortable in your coding journey.

I cannot thank this program enough for being accessible in both price and time. I'm very content with the teaching from Matt and the support from the team. I will absolutely be continuing my SheCodes journey.
I found the React part really dificult. It went to fast and the videos Matt did, didn´t really match the source code from him. Also, I believe I could learn better and faster if we had had an easier final. Yes, I understand that the Weather App is a good way to go, but for me it was to dificult and complicated. There are sooo many things to think about and to understand in a short amount of time. I think that by doing it a bit easier and and fully understand what you are doing, will resolve in you leraning easier on your own later. Also, when it says that the forecast is volontary (in the final), thats says a lot to me. But, Matt is without a doubt a really good teacher, love his videos and I would recomend it even if I thought is was hard.
The React projects were the hardest yet but, as always, the content is delivered in a way that breaks concepts up into manageable chunks. It's so satisfying to see the project grow and things work after battling through such complex coding tasks! I've never been more proud of seeing a task through even though at times I found it very challenging. I'm glad to have had Matt's great videos and the SheCodes team available to help guide me when I was stuck.

Amazing workshop, now that I can use both Bootstrap and media queries, I feel unstoppable! I would recommend this course to anyone who would like to gain knowledge of responsiveness on different devices, especially using Bootstrap, which seems to be a skill currently in high demand. The SheCodes Plus Workshop has been great in building my confidence up with coding. With Matt's teaching methods, I was able to finally understand JavaScript a bit more. Althouth it was very difficult to work with and finish my final project because of great problems in Ukarainian electrical power system and caused instant interruptions of electricity, - I've done it! Matt and his videos - was as a ray of light in our black days )
SheCodes team and Matt make this a very painless learning experience! I even sustained a major injury to my hand during the class and was able to easily take a few weeks off to recover then come back to coding. I am really happy I started my journey into tech through SheCodes and I would highly recommend to others looking to start from scratch.
Consuming API with JavaScript was challenging but Matt made it so easy. I can now code comfortably with JavaScript thanks to SheCodes.
I'm really happy I've got my own custom personally made portfolio website, all thanks to Matt and his great coding team teaching and helping me every step of the way. I have been trying to learn how to code by reading books and study from free/purchased online resources, but I gave up so many times because I didn't get it at all. I gave it a try again with SheCodes. And I can't believe I created webpage in 2 days! (It's actually 1-week course, but I spent my whole weekend on learning SheCodes Basic). I don't know how Matt made it so easy to understand, like, How didn't I understand this in the other places? lol
I'm very grateful to Matt and his team for creating this wonderful resource! While I wish there was more one-on-one guidance from professionals and experts in the field for the sake of professional development, the videos do a great job of teaching the technical side of front-end development, breaking down processes into highly digestible chunks.
