Before She Codes, I never imagined I could build a website from scratch. Matt made everything so easy to understand, and this helped me gain real confidence in a skill I once found intimidating. I’m proud of how far I’ve come.

I always thought that coding was hard and complicated, that only smart people does coding. Never in my wildest dreams have I ever imagined that I would be able to code, thanks to Matt for simplifying it and make it so easy

I had a blast learning how powerful JavaScript and CSS are. Even though JavaScript is a bit tricky but Matt simplified it for me. To create the change theme feature was epic since I've used it before in different apps and platforms. Now learning how to create this feature myself, is truly amazing! I had fun in the SheCodes Basics Add-On workshop!!

This course was a lot of fun and a great introduction into the coding space. Mr. Matt's tutorials were easy enough to follow and I also appreciated the parts where he let us figure some thing's out on our own. I am now considering completing the coding bootcamp in future. Thank you Mr. Matt!

This one's a little bit harder than the basics but it is also more enjoyable. I also noticed that in this course, I have internalized Matt's approach to coding - analyse, do, check, improve, repeat, edit.

What a quick yet informative add-on workshop. I really liked that Matt coded along for the project yet he taught what was happening and why. I really like how there in not just one solution to go about solving the problem and that also helps with not trying to box yourself into coding exactly as shown, but to also find a solution that works for you.

For this workshop I came really confident with my html, css and JavaScript, all thanks to our instructor Matt. I was confident enough to do everything by myself and show off my creativity. I might have gone a little overboard with the styling but I had so much fun building with AI API. I will always be grateful of this great opportunity and I really can't thank SheCodes enough. As my token of appreciation I will make sure I make use of my skills to empower other women, raising the SheCodes flag higher. I am so glad I took 'SheCodes Plus' prior to learning Python. I was familiar with so many of the core functions, thanks to stumbling through JavaScript the previous lesson. Matt often made the mistake of saying JS 'arrays' when referring to PY 'lists'. This was an unintentional blessing because it was hammering in previously learned concepts without trying! Python has a much easier flow than JS, so I enjoyed the ease in that. However, it is its own language, so it requires you to focus. I strongly recommend using the Pomodoro Technique to get through this workshop. Happy coding :)

I have just completed my second week of coding workshops. It has been very interesting and I've learnt so much. Thank you Matt for all the lessons and for making it so easy to understand.

The React Add-on module was another information-packed, fun React module to work with. Matt delivered comprehendible, well structured lessons as always. The final project was not only another phenomenal addition to my portfolio but also a great practical project to work on. I learned a lot more about the React JS library and feel more comfortable working with it. I would highly recommend this module, Thank you SheCodes!

Completing the Python Advanced Certificate has been a transformative experience. The final project was a very challenging but Matt helped in making everything make sense step by step. I'm proud of how far I’ve come, from basic syntax to building full projects. And I’m excited to continue learning and building more advanced, impactful applications in the future.

The course is very interesting, understandable and in accessible language. There is really no prior knowledge of programming or mathematics required. And you can follow it at your own pace. This program is the best,easy to understand, as a beginner i thought it will be difficult for me but matt explains every detail for you to understand, each and every lesson has practice where you can try again and again untill you can get it right which is very encouraging.

While Python didn’t have quite the same instant fun factor for me as front-end coding, I’m glad I stuck with it. A lot of the concepts felt quite instinctive, and I found myself able to guess my way through more than I expected, which was encouraging. I appreciated the way Matt broke things down, the challenges kept things engaging, and I enjoyed the sense of progress you get from building something step by step in the project. Overall, a really useful and well-structured course that gave me a good start in Python

I thoroughly enjoyed following the Responsive Add-on workshop and creating my travel landing page with the new skills I learned. The lessons were challenging yet Matt made it easy to follow and understand and the end-result was so rewarding. Before starting this course, I’ll admit I was a little intimidated by Python. It’s known as a powerhouse in the coding world, and I imagined it being much more complex than it turned out to be. After spending weeks on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, learning Python was a refreshing shift. Revisiting APIs during the course was also a great way to reinforce concepts from my earlier workshops. Going into the workshop, I had no idea how people go about incorporating AI in the building of applications, I did not know about the engineering behind it. At the end of it, I understood prompt engineering and realized it was not actually rocket science with the help of Matt of course. Being apart of the coding programm , has been a very interesting. I have learn't that, our brains have such a large capacity to learn. It's definately, not like watching a hacking movie, but mostly like building a house, and all materials, strength and love that goes into it. I was a bit intimidated at first because it's been a while since I last did a SheCodes workshop, but the steps were easy to follow and I just kept remembering everything Matt taught in previous workshops. This was fun! What puzzles me is just how Matt explains everything so clearly making it easy for one to follow and grasp each concept. There were challenges however, after completing each task you enter a new horizon of coding with even more exciting things to learn. I found Python basics relatively logical after my initial struggle with JavaScript. It's really nice to be able to spot the parallels between the two coding languages. Thanks to the patient breakdown of Pythons key words and functions from Matt, I think I've got a solid basis to build on now. Excited to see what else can be done with Python!

Working with JavaScript and Moment.js has significantly improved my ability to create dynamic, real-time applications. I gained hands-on experience with DOM manipulation, time formatting, and handling time zones across different regions. Using moment-timezone, I learned how to detect the user’s local time zone and update the interface in real time using setInterval. This experience strengthened my understanding of working with external libraries and writing clean, interactive, and responsive JavaScript code.

As someone completely new to coding, joining SheCodes has been an eye-opening and empowering experience. I’ve had the chance to explore HTML, CSS, and JavaScript—and to actually build something real and personal, like my own photography-themed webpage! From struggling with syntax to styling layouts and writing interactive JavaScript, I’ve learned how much fun (and rewarding) coding can be. Once again, my coding knowledge has expanded – this time into something so real, useful, and present in our daily lives: responsive websites. I open websites on my phone, computer, and other devices every single day, and I truly understand how important it is for a site to perform well across all of them.
