It was a really challenging, but at the same time very interesting workshop. With Matt's help, I gained the necessary skills to build responsive websites. At the beginning of this course I was very nervous because I genuinely thought coding was going to be this complex subject that was going to require me having to do courses for maths or statistics and I was ready to give-up. But after the first five lessons, yes, I said it, after the first five lessons I already knew I am very much capable of doing this course and I have enjoyed very bit of it. From the videos recorded by Matt, to the weekly homework challenges. Cannot wait to do the next workshop🥳

I delved into a little bit of coding over 20 yrs ago and came back. I never understood what it all was until I took the SheCodes Basic course. I’m delighted to say that Matt’s courses are very easy to understand and has a great staff to assist when any problems arise while doing homework or challenges. Learning React was a challenge that I really enjoyed. Impressive to see how far I've come in programming in just a few months with SheCodes. What an enjoyable experience! 😊 As a graphic/website designer I knew the very basics and have "winged" my way up until this point on my own website and learning along the way for client work. I still learnt SO much during this basics course that has given me complete clarity and understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and more confidence in my abilities and work. The classes are super easy to follow and the projects are really satisfying as you can (literally) see the results of your hard work. Great, approachable way to get into coding. I felt like there was a helping hand available if I needed it, but also encourage to find the answers yourself. Great practical exercises and very helpful to see a solution video of Matt explaining his logic and method of approaching a coding exercise as opposed to just 'getting the answer to it' - that's very valuable for a novice coder to see how an experienced coder would approach the same problem.
Having very little experience with coding before taking this course, I was a little apprehensive about taking it. There was no need to be apprehensive as Matt did a great job in the videos of explaining how everything works! And I had fun learning and making the final project.
I can't describe how useful and practical this course was for me. As someone who had no knowledge of coding, I was able to easily learn and apply the concepts. The positive point of this course was that it was divided into short sessions. There were also very good challenges that helped to consolidate the content in my mind. Thanks, Matt! It has been a fantastic ride with SheCodes. I'm overwhelmed with the excitement of coding my very own weather app from scratch. Thank you for providing the opportunity to learn React. It was by far the most challenging out of all the workshops, but I feel it was a valuable skill to gain. The lessons from Matt were well-guided and I was able to follow them along the way. After starting with SheCodes Basic 13 months ago, I feel I have come a long way and now more confident in applying my newly gained front-end skills to my job.

Matt is a natural teacher. He uses the format of "I do, we do, you do" to give gentle practice time. The learning felt engaging and natural, more like solving a puzzle or playing a game than what I've come to expect from online courses. Between the well-designed lessons, ample opportunities to practice, and the community of support in the Slack channel, it's really easy to see why SheCodes has such a high completion rate.

This is one of the best decision I ever made. I was already studying coding for a bit, and gets so frustrated with how unnecessarily complicated it is. Matt, makes the learning so much fun and easy. Last year, I decided to embark on a journey to a new self and career path discovery, My boyfriend encouraged me to try the tech industry I might find fulfillment in the tech industry, initially, I was skeptical because I felt it was probably difficult but one day I was on Instagram and saw a SheCodes sponsored advert and decided to try. At first, I was really skeptical to start learning to code. I was scared that I would not be able to understand it and will get lost fast. Matt's lessons are super clear and easy to understand.
