I've really enjoyed this course and I've found it really easy to understand. Matt's way of teaching is really easy to keep up with and has made learning to code not overwhelming.

SheCodes is the ABSOLUTE best thing I could have ever taken a chance on! There are a million ads on instagram about everything you could think of, so when I saw the SheCodes ad, I had my doubts but curiosity won out, and I am so glad that it did! Quite Challenging but Matt made learning easy.
The beginners coding workshop was perfect for someone like me, looking to see if coding was something they were interested in pursuing. With no experience in coding at all, the combination of bite-size videos and weekly assignments made it really fun to learn. It was such a fun and amazing introduction to coding. Matt was such a great instructor. Each topic was broken up into different sections which made it a lot easier to grasp within a short timeframe.

I enjoyed the other SheCodes workshops (Basic and Plus), but the React workshop was very disappointing. The help from the SheCodes Slack channel was pretty apathetic - my questions and the questions of other students were often "answered" with really short and thoughtless responses that made it clear that the team was not actually looking very closely at our issues. At the time of writing this testimonial, React is on version 18, but Matt is teaching version 16 after making a big to-do about always teaching us the latest version. The changes between the two aren't that significant, but they were significant enough that it made completing challenges more difficult than they should have been. I am also appalled at how often I have heard "just Google it" during this course. I paid to learn React, have someone walk me through the terminology, and follow a step-by-step guide, NOT to read forum after forum of coding jargon I don't understand. It was also very disheartening to have to complete a weather application YET AGAIN after going through it once (or twice, if you count the last two weeks of the program) in the Plus course. All in all, I did learn about React during this course, but I feel completely unprepared to tackle it in any scenario outside of a weather app.
This is amazing!!! A couple of months ago, I had a vague idea about programming. Now I can make the site the way I want. Coding is a very exciting process! I am very grateful to Matt Delac and his team for the opportunity to receive this necessary and useful knowledge.

React has been really interesting to dive in, and we can also take the chance to improve the weather app we did from the Plus workshop! Always a pleasure to be learning from Matt and seeing how he is also learning together with us during the videos, and debugging issues we encounter at the same time. I learned a lot from all these workshops and really looking forward to see what I can do with my skills. I also appreciate the SheCodes team checking and following up with us on Slack to see how we are progressing at times as well. It is a great experience from the beginning to the end, and I will highly recommend people who are keen to jump into coding, this is one of the best places to start!

Dear SHECODES This is an amzing platform for a beginner to learn coding. Knowing how to make a responsive website is incredibly useful as the world uses their mobile devices more and more. Matt does a fantastic job showcasing how to make websites responsive and does it in a very easy-to-follow way.
Good introduction to React. It can be challenging to understand this new syntax. Matt does a nice job helping us become familiarized with it.
Nice and simple little project. I enjoyed working on the project and I learned some new things this week. I really like how Matt explains different techniques, he is not just showing you how he codes but he explains the logic behind it.

I did a lot of research on tech courses before doing the SheCodes workshop and I am glad I choose it! Matt makes it pleasant to learn how to code on your own time. For sure it would be nice if everyone had time to invest in a new skill, but we are all busy so the purpose of the workshops - that is not extremely pushy - is great!

I can first hand 100% recommend Shecodes to anyone looking forward to be a great developer but has no prior knowledge. I have been to several online coding programs but have not succeeded in completing any and this is because they’re not beginners’ friendly like most of them usually claim.
