SheCodes programme is challenging and very fascinating at a time. I couldn't imagine I started to code so fast and easy. What a journey! This project was definitely the hardest, so far. It was frustrating, fun and exciting at the same time. I am very grateful to have the opportunity to learn from Matt and to be a part of the amazing SheCodes community.
As always, this workshop has been very informative and it will be really helpful for anyone starting out learning how to code. Everything is explained in a way that is easily understandable and doesn't feel too overwhelming. I didn't have time to complete both projects but I can always go back to the videos and work through them to improve my portfolio later on. This workshop is great because you can do it at your own pace but there are still deadlines to keep you on track. Thanks Matt!

I enjoyed this course way beyond what I was expecting. The Javascript portion was a tricky, but Matt's explanations and queries answered in the Slack group really helped to make sense of it. This is probably the most fun I've had studying and building something in ages!

A few months ago, I decided to embark on a mission to learn how to code and hopefully completely change my career path. Why?- because I know how much freedom I could gain from the great lifestyle coding can provide. I always had a huge admiration for technology but was completely clueless on how to use it. I started to research a bit and learn on my own for about 1.5 months. After that I applied for a bootcamp here in NYC but quickly realized that they wanted me to know way more (a timed admission test was given) then I was capable to learn. I was wondering, if the school wants me to know so much before I have even started, then why do I need them at all? Plus, $16.000 (tuition for the bootcamp/12 weeks) is a huge chunk of money if you ask me. That's when I decided to go the self-taught rout. I did so for another week or so and quickly learned that I needed some structure. That's when SheCodes made it's entrance :D After doing some research I understood that the program is for complete beginners like myself and that it was quite interactive. By that I mean, you don't just read about an assignment and then try to solve it, you get to see the process thought by Matt the founder and then you try yourself. It made so much sense to me. I signed up for the full course and just completed the BASIC one of three weeks. So far, it has definitely been great and productive. I love how you can always go back and relearn topics. I also love how all the topics are bite sized so you don't feel overwhelmed. You go at your own pace but still have deadlines which help you stay focused. Looking forward to the next step-SheCodes PLUS. Happy learning :)

When I was wondering about "What NEXT?" in my life, the thought of career change hit my head. Then started googling about learning coding sitting at my comfort zone (as having a toddler). SheCodes is a boon to me. I am not finding appropriate words to express my gratitude to Mr. Matt and his team. I am going to continue learning the advanced courses with SheCodes. I have got my confidence back after joining SheCodes. Being an unemployed for about 8 years in another country and now getting confidence back to kickstart my career was unimaginable. I decided to enroll in SheCodes after I wanted to try something different for a career. I just finished the Basics module, I learned a lot about HTML, CSS, and Java through these 3 weeks. Matt is a great teacher, it is easy to understand and every class is really explicative. I am glad I got enrolled in SheCodes, I am looking forward to learning more in the next workshops.
SheCodes Responsive gave me a sense of becoming an actual web designer. As Matt provided the practical tools to build a website that is mobile friendly, I got to learn, practice, and actualize website development throughout the course. Since I have not touched on JavaScript, I am a bit concerned that I might have forgotten a lot of what I have learned previously😥 Notwithstanding, I am excited to move onto the next and the last course SheCodes React while solidifying what I have been learning with SheCodes.
Another great workshop! Learned so much about using CSS libraries, responsiveness, and search engine optimization. Matt is a superb instructor that provides you with a lot of important knowledge and he builds up your confidence in an excellent way. Had a lot of fun making my final project!

It was difficult, but fun to learn about API's and go more in depth with coding. I had a great time creating the final project. Once again, Matt has made coding understandable and fun.
I have been wanting to learn how to make responsive websites, and this workshop has helped me a lot. The step by step guide and explanation by Matt has provided me with insights on how we can go about it. I am really excited to take the opportunity to create my portfolio during this workshop. I had always loved tech but never really thought about doing a course due to my law background. Attending the free workshop made me more interested, hence, I decided to take part in the SheCodes basics course. This has definitely been an interesting journey, Matt (the instructor) makes it easy because he explains everything step by step. This has made me confident about working with html, css and javascript. I look forward to the next stage in this course.

Where do I start?!… The reason for joining this workshop was to learn a new skill that could help me change careers. At first, quite a few things weren't clicking because, I do admit, I am a slow learner; which is nothing to be embarrassed about, but it takes people like me a little longer to grasp information. The way Matt has structured the workshop has made it understandable to follow. I would for sure recommend!! After taking the last six months to settle into life in Canada, I started feeling itchy to learn something new again. That's when I saw an ad for a free SheCodes intro session. Working in Marketing, I've always seen knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS as a desired skill and thanks to SheCodes, I now have that knowledge. The online course was so easy to follow - Matt explains everything at a great pace, with practical examples and shows you how to use what you're learning with intuitive tools. The challenges and homeworks also gave a good opportunity to put into practice what you've learned too and knowing that your solutions are verified by a real person is a good boost to the confidence. SheCodes Basics was really fun! I had zero coding knowledge coming into it and expected to feel out of my depth, but it wasn't like that at all. The structure of the course and the bite-size-ness of the video lessons, plus Matt's easy-to-understand teaching style made the learning process really smooth. And I loved that there's no heavy theory or reading, you just get straight into coding! Will definitely be back for more :)

I managed to complete all tasks because of wonderful support and instructions! Lessons were not overloaded. And also I appreciate that sometimes Matt left a small piece of items for us to search in Google by ourselves. That`s a nice idea of challenge! I highly recommend this course to everyone, no matter if you are a project manager or just caught some interest to coding and don`t know where to start.
I really enjoy doing this program. Of course, this level seems more difficult due to the fact that all tasks are performed for the first time. But most importantly, Matt explains the principles and logic in such detail that everything becomes clear. Thank for the opportunity to participate in the project!
Excellent course! You can study at any pace, but there are still time limits that make you respect the time management of the course. Matt in his videos explains every little thing very clearly and in an easily-accessible form, so that the whole course turns into a saving path of breadcrumbs leading you through the dark and scary forest of coding. The team is always ready to answer all questions. In addition, what is important, gradually you understand the fundamental principles of work, without which it is impossible to improve skills. I am very satisfied and look forward to continuing the work.
