I was so nervous and excited to try SheCodes. I wanted to start taking coding lessons to help build a future where I'll be able to work from home one day to stay home and raise my babies. This was a thrilling experience, I enjoyed myself. I joined SheCodes knowing absolutely nothing about coding and now I am glad I joined, Matt is a wonderful facilitator who made the material seem so easy and made learning fun. React was really really challenging!! Despite having a solid foundation in vanilla JavaScript, react had me going through sleepless nights trying to code, fix codes, figure out what I am to do, or what I am doing wrong. Nonetheless, it has been the most rewarding workshop because I learnt a whole lot of new techniques - I was able to create components to structure and streamline codes in order to build powerful apps. I learnt how to build interactions using functions, closure and state-management. At the end of the workshop, I was able to build a sophisticated weather app using react, and then hosting my application online. Once more, I would like to thank Matt and the SheCodes team for the great workshop and timely support rendered throughout the process.

Before SheCode! I thought coding to be a hard and complex subject. Thank you Matt, you are a great teacher. You have both the ability and gift to explain/simplify concepts, that even a 10 year old, can easily follow. At age 43, I created my first webpage. 🙌🏾🥳

I am so impressed with the SheCodes Workshop! I went in feeling a bit apprehensive about the potential complexity, especially with the numbers being involved. But the way the classes were structured and explained everything so clearly made the learning process really enjoyable, and the feeling of successfully completing the exercises was incredebly rewarding. I was a bit scared to start this course because of all the scary stories I heard about people learning Python, but to my surprise, it was easy to follow along and understand. Matt is really good at explaining the code and teaches at a good pace. I can't wait to learn more about Python with SheCodes!

Initially, I was hesitant to start Python because I assumed it to be more difficult than front-end coding language. However, I think this is the most clearly laid out course so far. In particular, the #subtitling of different learning points with the instruction helps to organize the understanding of the code. I also think that key concepts like the api_keys and urls are better broken down than in the JS courses. The simplicity of the code and Matt make it very digestible.

It is amazing to complete another course. Matt has done a great job explaining everything and making the videos easy to understand and follow.

This section of coding was quite challenging, but I still enjoyed it and can confidently say that I know more than I did before. Thank you to Matt and the team for helping us through all the steps and being patient.

Building this AI Travel Itinerary Planner through the Shecodes Python AI course was an incredibly rewarding experience. This project allowed me to solidify my understanding of several key Python concepts, including working with external APIs (like the Shecodes Weather and AI APIs using the requests library), data handling (parsing JSON responses), and string formatting. I also gained practical experience in creating user-friendly command-line interfaces using the rich library for enhanced output. The process of designing the logic to take user inputs and generate dynamic outputs based on API responses truly deepened my problem-solving skills. This project showcases a practical application of AI in generating travel itineraries, and I'm proud of the skills I've acquired in bringing it to life. I cant believe I used to think this was out of reach for me, now here I am designing and creating my very own website, I cannot thank Matt enough for the way he explains so slowly and clearer that a 5 years old would probably understand, and thank you for also providing a community on slack, I don't know what I would have done without it.

I’ve taken coding courses in the past but never really enjoyed them — they were either too boring or overcomplicated. This course was completely different. SheCodes is the way to go! phew! 8 weeks of SheCodes plus is no joke, it was mind challenging, so many logic to comprehend and retain and above all it was intriguing. Coach Matt broke the lessons in bits, which made the grasping of knowledge easier. Thank you Coach Thank you SheCodes support team for your efficiency, you guys rock.

It was great to refresh my coding skills with this new add-on workshop. I did it in one day, just could not stop coding. Using CSS grid and animations, as well as changing theme with Java Script are great additions to my web developer skill set. Really enjoyed this little project which helped me to finally put together all my favourite coding resources. Matt managed to explain concepts in his usual easy-to-understand manner. I had a lot of fun choosing images, picking colour palette, playing around with different types of animations and filters. Coding is addicting!

The Basics course is well structured. The daily challenges gave me something to look forward to and contributed so much to my enthusiasm for learning coding. Within less than two weeks, I successfully completed yet another React course — the SheCodes React Add-on, and what a journey it’s been! This course took my React skills to a whole new level. I built a fully functional dictionary app from scratch, using live data from external APIs and styling it responsively with Tailwind CSS. I learned how to manage state efficiently, handle user inputs, integrate image search with the Pixabay API, and create a smooth, dynamic user experience. Despite the fast pace, I enjoyed every moment, from facing challenges like debugging axios requests, to watching my app come to life, step by step. It was intense but exciting, and it boosted both my confidence and my coding skills. I'm really proud of this milestone and even more excited about the projects I’ll build next with everything I’ve learned. Hi, This was a much needed AI workshop for me as a researcher in R1 Doctoral University, UMBC. My research interests include UX designs, GenAI Policy, and Cybersecurity areas in a Human-Centered Computing, Ph.D. program. It requires a lot of data visualizations and use of tools used in this SheCodes Workshop such as Google Colab, OpenAI, AI APIs, Python's Jupyter Notebook/Lite, and any AI tools to help us learn and understand Python AI coding. However, it is my first time that I am successful in saving and sharing my codes without losing anything, getting relevant, detailed, and desired responses, great emoji and other visuals, all with the help of SheCodes and its incredible instructor, Matt Delac, for explaining step-by-step each code with such details that I started and finished this workshop in just one day. I cannot believe what took me semesters to complete, actually took me just one day with SheCodes. I have completed all SheCodes workshops previously and I highly recommend all these to anyone new or struggling with coding. Today I feel, coding is done happily without any stress, and if you feel stress while coding, listen to SheCodes Radio and drink your favorite tea or coffee, and code after short breaks. This workshop was amazing! I never realised how challenging responsiveness could be. It often seems simple at first glance, but it truly requires focus and attention to detail. I really enjoyed following this workshop — I learned so much! Working with @media and making things responsive using Bootstrap helped me understand how powerful and practical these tools are. The SheCodes Responsive Add-on was an incredible experience! I created a website inspired by something I’m passionate about—my city, London. From beautiful grids to interactive cards and even an HTML table, I included it all: a hero section, a Footer, Embeds, and CSS Filters. I made it fully responsive for smaller devices without using Bootstrap. Thank you to Matt and the SheCodes team for breaking everything down step by step. Having an example website and a Figma design to follow made a big difference—it really helped me visualize and bring my ideas to life. I’m so proud of what I built and how much I’ve learned. When I decided to code, I thought, "How hard can it be? Spoiler alert: very difficult. At first, it was like trying to understand the further math I never learnt from school, with the bonus that if you miss a step or mess up one tiny symbol, nothing works, and your laptop silently judges you. But I kept going. Slowly, the chaos started to make sense. Over time, I started to laugh at the bugs and celebrate little wins, thanks to Shecodes and the founder, Matthieu Delac.

It was a bit challenging, I just need to keep learning and practicing React. But I wouldn't have done it without Matt and the SheCodes team. Thank you for this great opportunity!

An Incredible Leap from Fear to My First Own Code! My experience learning in the She Codes basic course was a real discovery! I remember that initial fear of the unknown world of programming. The information seemed chaotic, everything got mixed up in my head, and I felt a certain confusion. My journey to learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript has been amazing, what I love the most was the detailed video explanation by our instructor Matt😍, sometimes when my code didn't run I felt frustrated but what stood out for me in this workshop was when our instructor said in a certain video "Have fun and Google is your friend, research, don't copy code but use it as inspiration and that you can get help from us if you feel stuck". I love these motivational words because during my project, I felt down at some moments, but recalling those words motivated me a lot. I am so excited that despite all the hurdles, I was able to complete my project, and most of all, I had quite a lot of fun coding. As someone who never considered themselves tech-savvy, discovering I could actually understand the language of code has been revolutionary. My favorite part of this journey was searching for the perfect images for my Reiki healing project and suddenly understanding the CSS concepts that made them look beautiful on the page. I recently completed the SheCodes Web Development Workshop, and it was such a rewarding experience! I had the chance to learn so many amazing skills, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, React, and how to work with AI APIs and more and more!! Throughout the course, I built several projects with guidance from our instructor Matt, who was incredibly helpful and full of great tips. Learning web development wasn't always easy, but it was definitely fun and exciting! Every time I completed a project, I felt so proud—and now I’m even more motivated to keep creating and improving my skills. I’m really grateful for everything I learned at SheCodes.
