What a great course! I learned so much information throughout these videos. I am new to coding and I feel as if Matt was very explicit on what needed to be done and WHY it works/why you do it a specific way. The team on slack also needs a shoutout because if you're stuck or have a question, they respond and help you in a timely manner.

This workshop gained me so much knowledge that I thought wouldn't be possible, courses are well instructed by Matt and he articulates in a way that is easy to understand. Wow I can't believe how much I've learned in 5 months! Going for a complete beginner to coding full complex apps. Matt is an excellent teacher and the whole team at SheCodes is amazing, they provide very fast and helpful support when ever I run into a bug. Highly recommend!

As a math educator looking to transition into the world of tech, I wanted to find a program that was not only affordable, but meaningful to my interests in this new field. I've also been a coding coach for a program that allowed me to teach other young girls how to embrace the world of technology within STEM; so finding myself working with SheCodes truly brought out my young, intelligent mind and excitement! Completing just the Basics Workshop has me thrilled to want to pursue the next levels of learning code (and essentially become a Front-end Developer). Matts teaching style was great, he easily broke down daunting looking codes into simple pieces you could understand then tied it all together at the end of the lesson. This is a great intro course to CSS, HTML, JAVA, and Visual Studio and I would recommend it to anyone who is curious about coding or learning a new skill. This course also provided a creative outlet for me that I wasn't expecting, and that was one of the most rewarding things about this course.
I was always nervous about signing up for an online class for coding because I was worried that the content wouldn't be thorough enough and I wouldn't be able to get support after I made my purchase. After attending the free information session that Matt gave, I felt like SheCodes was a trustworthy organization. For the price of the course, I was so surprised at how in-depth each lesson was and I loved getting the validation of a real human checking my homework and letting me know I was doing everything right; that is something that worried me with other courses — nobody would be able to confirm if I was actually learning the material correctly. Matt is easy to follow along with and does a great job articulating his thought process and clarifying when something could be easily confused. I think the price of this course in contrast to what's provided proves that Matt created these courses with the intention to make this industry more accessible to women, not to get rich.
SheCodes introductory training was somewhat easy to follow with Matt's informative video that you can slow down, rewind etc if needed. I found myself able to keep a good pace and am still finding coding fun. Really glad i learned about SheCodes.

I am a person with NO coding knowledge at all - to me it always looked like Matrix 😅 But when I saw stories shared by many women around me, but also here on the SheCodes and after I took the introductory webinar, I realised that it does not have to be so difficult at all! In the BASIC package you really learn the most basic things (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and Matt is extremely good lecturer 🤩 You can have your own pacing, you do not need to rush anywhere so there is no room for any kind of stress. If you feel lost, slow down, take a deep breath and start again 🤙Believe in yourself! 💫
Speaking from a graphic designer point of view: This was a great refresher course from the "little" coding I learned from uni. Although Javascript was new for me, it was easier to grasp with Matt's “learn”ing videos, followed by coding challenges, and weekly projects to practise as you are learning. Just when you think you won’t be able to wrap your head around it. It all comes together in the end. For graphic designers, it’s great to understand how your design concepts can be translated and built into coding. I look forward to the next workshop!

I almost didn't sign up for this 3 week workshop. I honestly thought I couldn't do it and it was going to be super tough, too much for me to handle. These three weeks of the SheCodes Basics Workshop have been both awesome and challenging. I really enjoyed learning the very basics of coding specially HTML and CSS. JavaScript is been definitely more challenging to learn for me but I somehow managed to complete the challenges which makes me proud and stoked! Matt is an awesome teacher and he explains it all in a very simple and understandable way. Bruno and Joao have been super nice and helpful as well and all the coders from the slack platform are super keen to learn and help to each other which makes the whole coding experience really fun and friendly. The Basics Workshop did an excellent job of making it very easy to learn and practice what was learned real time, to set the student on the path of basic web development. I have already been able to easily build upon what I learned to make the page appear and function differently according to my liking with simple google searches on JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. SheCodes Plus started out as a challenge, but as you push through week 2 the challenges get gripping and Matt's gradual video lessons ensure you make it all the way till the end. I thoroughly enjoyed the process of creating my weather app. Coding just got interesting!
I am 21 years old and have always worked retail jobs, I am looking forward to finishing SheCodes Pro to open the door to potential job opportunities. SheCodes Basic was amazing, I learned so much. The workshop was not what I expected. I thought it was going to be "head-scratching" and "hair-pulling" kind of struggle. But I am glad that Matt's videos were straightforward. Each video was not too long and its packed with information that are easy to understand. I am glad I chose SheCodes for my introduction to coding. ☺️

SheCodes made what seemed to be so complex to me, quite the opposite thanks to Matts amazing detailed videos, and a great team from slack that helped with any questions throughout the course. The videos clearly demonstrated all the elements that go into HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and even paced students to figure out some details on their own. Yes, that's me with the grey hair. Not quite the oldest to enrol in SheCodes but getting close! I recommend this course to women of any age. Already I have more confidence in a web project I'm developing for a client. I've now enrolled in SheCodes Plus, because much to my surprise, I've enjoyed coding (as Matt promised!).

When I asked what is coding, everyone said that it is a difficult profession that requires knowledge of mathematics. I have always stayed away from this profession because I am not good with mathematics. One day, when I saw the SheCodes advertisements on YouTube, I looked and started to wonder if I could learn it myself. And after 1 week of research, I saw that the best is SheCodes. SheCodes basic was a great intro to the coding world! Matt's quick how-to videos have just the right amount of information followed by challenges that allow you to practice. I also liked that Matt leaves room for you to figure things out for yourself. You will have to think outside the box, use Google, to assist in figuring out the challenges and homework. I'm proud of my final project and impressed with the skills that I attained in such a short amount of time.
Finally I made it through! Yet another amazing Responsive journey! Working full-time and love to code has been very difficult for me this time, but many thanks to Matt for his beautiful lesson planning and to SheCodes team for the great encouragement and the support that they have been giving to all of us. :)

It has been great learning coding again especially with the step by step on how to different areas of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It has also been great knowing you learn, the try out the challenges and then see the solution. As Matt has explained there are different solutions so you will not feel bad as long as the functionality works 😁 With practice you will be able to become more familiar and confident with coding

My current career hit a rut and I felt like I lost motivation and passion for my work. I began looking at career-change options and new skill sets that I could learn. I was intrigued but very intimidated by coding. I came across and attended the SheCodes "Free Coding Class" and built enough confidence to sign up for the SheCodes 3-week Basic workshop, which I just finished and LOVED! The style of instruction is very easy to follow and Matt does an excellent job explaining each of the lessons. I also appreciate that he provides outside resources and tips for Googling because I'm learning there is sooo much information out there! I look forward to the next SheCodes workshop and continuing this educational journey!
If you are thinking about joining SheCodes...DO IT! This experience has been one of the most rewarding things I've done in a really long time. I registered for the SheCodes Basics workshop just to get an understanding of front-end development. The course was super interesting! The way it's being taught throughout 3 weeks makes it very easy to keep up even if you have a full time job. The fact that for each section there are videos not only to teach you but also to show what the challenge is and to give a thorough explanation of the solution is extremely helpful! Easy to follow, enjoyable and super practical tasks. The instructors in Slack reply almost immediately to any question. Matt even comments on your final projects, and I honestly don't understand how he does it with thousands of students :)
SheCodes Basics was the perfect entry-level coding course for me! I admit I started the course with doubt - "Will I be able to follow? Will this be easy enough for me - a complete beginner?" But after the first few lessons, I fell in love with coding, how creative it is and now I can say that I truly enjoy doing it. The course is well structured - I enjoyed 'challenges' after lessons (helps to cement the new knowledge) and the fact that after each 'challenge' we had an explanation video on how Matt would have completed it. Matt Delac is a great instructor - he gives clear instructions and a lot of tips on how to become a better coder throughout the course. The SheCodes team is very helpful and I enjoyed the SheCodes Slack community.
What I liked most about the SheCodes program is that the instructor, Matt, is a seasoned professional developer who gives practical tips on the development workflow and speaks from experience. Besides this, his passion for coding and web development is infectious!
Never have I ever sit down for 3 hours straight just to study or learn something. Well I guess now I know what I really love to do. Matt Delac is so good at explaining everything. React is not easy; however, the key concepts will be repeated over and over again during the building of the projects throughout the course. You will eventually get used to it and maybe even get the hang of it . This course is packed with information. I like how Matt always gets straight to the point and teaches you the most practical basics. And he is not afraid of showing his mistakes while lecturing coding. I appreciate that, so I can also learn from his mistakes. I am glad I took this course; otherwise, I wouldn't know I like React better than JavaScript.

As a person who got Maths Phobia and almost zero knowledge of science subjects, I never thought that I could code. Thank you Matt for making coding super understandable and the kind help from SheCodes Team, I acquired some basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript:) The challenges after every lesson are very useful. It keeps the students on track and allows us to revise them immediately. I have lots of fun with coding and could never imagine that I am hooked after two weeks!
