Matt is an incredible instructor who is able to simplify the topics that seem a bit challenging for beginners. I have always been interested in coding but I was always intimidated because everything seemed too difficult to start even. SheCodes has been fantastic! The videos explain each part just enough to understand what to do, but doesn't give away every detail so you have to figure out somethings on your own. Matt is a great teacher! The timeline for each week is perfectly spaced out. I was able to spend just over 5 hours each week on my assignments. I ended up spending a lot longer on my final project by choice! I'm so happy to have found this class and I can't wait to sign up for the next workshop!
What a journey this has been, from learning the basics to being able to create applications in React. This course was mentally challenging and equally rewarding. I will miss Matt's tutorials and forever enjoy re-visiting lessons when I'm stuck!
SheCodes Basics has been such an enjoyable experience. I started with very little knowledge of coding and learned so much along the way. Matt is an excellent instructor and his team are readily available should you have any questions. I can't remember a uni assignment I enjoyed as much as our final project. If you're on the fence, just do it!
SheCodes Plus was really challenging workshop. There were days when I got really frustrated with coding, but as Matt always says you've got to take some time off and try later😤I am really happy to have started this coding journey with SheCodes team. It's been an absolute blast to take this course. Matt makes it so easy and he explains everything in a very pedagogical way. Fun fact: as an engineer I had a very short introduction to Python a few years ago, and I thought it was incredibly boring. Never ever had I thought that I (willingly) would take a coding course in the future. But here I am, and this course have been nothing like my previous experience. All of a sudden coding is extremely fun and I just want to learn more and more. I guess that's the difference between a really good teacher and a not so good one. Now I'm looking forward to taking SheCodes Pro that I will start with on Monday!

Before finding SheCodes, the thought of going to a coding bootcamp was very intimidating. I didn't know a single thing about coding or if I would even be good at it, so I was hesitant to fork over several thousand dollars to find out. When I lost my job in COVID, I knew I needed to make a career change. I started looking into different coding bootcamp/workshop options and saw that SheCodes had a free intro class! In that first session all my questions were answered and I realized while Matt was live coding that this was something I was totally capable of. The next day I signed up for SheCodes basics and I am so glad I did! SheCodes Basics was my first introduction to Coding. I wanted to learn to code for a while. After taking the free coding class, I knew SheCodes was where I wanted to start my journey! Building the weather app was a challenge, when I first started the course I wasn't sure if I'd be able to complete the app but with Matt's guidance and clear instructions i'm proud to say I completed it! Coding would be advantageous for the HR. 😀 I am HR professional and I did it 😀 wow... If you are working as an HR in the tech domain, then having the basic abilities of how coding works makes sense. So that the selection of candidates can be optimised based on an understanding of how the candidate can benefit the organisation. This will largely reduce the time for the hiring managers at the second and later part of the process. Having HR analytics abilities is a must nowadays. If you are a technical recruiter working for a SaaS company, you can vet candidates with more insightful questions while screening them. I had such a wonderful time developing these skills and I'm super excited for the future! I am delighted to have finished SheCodes Basic Course where I've gained the required set of skills in #HTML, #CSS, and #JavaScript. When I started SheCodes Plus I was about to start a new job at a large company as a UX designer where I would be working with developers on the designs I made for mobile apps and websites. I wanted to be able to speak their language by learning how to code. SheCodes Plus really helped me transition into my new role, even just by teaching me terminology like "Calling an API" (and knowing how to do it in Javascript!) or being able to read code when I would inspect a page on our company site for things I needed to reference. It gave me a lot more confidence in my skills - especially with being the "new girl" on the team. SheCodes Plus really focuses on Javascript which I found to be the trickiest of the three coding languages (HTML, CSS, and Javascript - I'm very comfortable with CSS now lol). Overtime I started to get the hang of it especially when we got to the Vanilla Javascript stuff. I love how Matt teaches and everything is so well structured its easy to follow along. The community is great, too, because they are so fast to get back to you when you have an issue and help you get through it (This is super handy for Javascript btw!). I cannot wait to jump into Responsive! I wasn't sure if I was going to do the React course at first, but Matt kept saying that things get a lot more straightforward when we get to React, so I will now be doing that one, too, and finish off all the courses! Thanks so much for all you do Matt, team, and SheCodes! This is a fun course!

SheCodes has been one of the best things I started in years. The video's are amazing, the community is great and it's a very easy and good start te learn how to code. and don't forget: it's so much fun! I think Matt and his team has found a great way of making coding fun and I celebrate the fact that they target women. And they do it realy well, with Cat's coding, lots of emoji's and even jokes. I honestly never thought that understanding and writing code was meant for me, and I always dismissed it as something too difficult to manage. Until SheCodes, that is.The workshop has given me a brand new understading of coding and has opened up a whole new world of possibilities for me! SheCodes Plus is an amazing course to expand on what you learn in the Basics course - and it's so much fun! Javascript can be confusing at times but Matt is an excellent teacher and explains it so well at every step. It was almost 3 months of quite hard work but the result is worth it ⭐️ SheCodes Plus requires more effort than Basic workshop but if you like challenges 💪 then this is something for you. I got bunch of new extra useful information about API and JS plus all resources necessary to build my very first application. Matt as always is a great teacher who knows how to explain the most difficult stuff the easiest possible way. Entering fascinating world of coding now I really know how much I don't know 😅 but for sure I feel more confident and I'm looking forward to continue my journey with front end development and to see where it brings me 👩🏻💻👀🛤

Learning to code is really fun, especially when you are tutored by someone as amazing as Matt. The information that you learned in each video is very brief but when in the end of the workshop, you will be definitely surprised by what you have learned!

This was so much fun to learn! I looked forward to coming home from work every day and taking on another challenge and then ultimately building my very first app! Matt's teaching style is great and easy to understand and it is nice to be able to have videos and sources to refer back to. The team is also wonderful, with quick and helpful responses. There were times I definitely challenged, but I am so proud of what I have already accomplished and am excited to continue forward in my journey to become a software developer!

SheCodes is a great course for beginners or even advanced coders. I enjoyed the flexibility of the Basics course and plan on pursuing the more advanced courses. This was incredibly challenging. I really enjoyed learning more about JavaScript and API integration as well as learning how to properly work with Git and Github. Matt is a great teacher and I appreciate that there is a team that's willing to help you when you need assistance with your code. This is a great resource for those who are beginners but want to go more in-depth with their coding skills.
I am currently within the HR career path. However, I have always been curious about coding. I heard about SheCodes last year, and I decided 2022 was going to be my year to EMBARK on this coding journey. The main aspect I was interested in with coding was web design. 👩🏽💻I enjoyed learning HTML, CSS, and JS. I did not expect to learn as much as I did in this coding basics class. All the lessons are ordered in a way for easy learning and comprehension. Matt is an amazing teacher. With each homework assignment and project, you get to test your knowledge! I was hesitant to learn this on my own- however with the support of the SheCodes squad/other learners, I felt empowered that if I didn't understand- I could reach out on the real-time Slack chat. My final project reflects my love for baking! I tried to make it simple yet modern. There are still some concepts I would love to learn in order to implement for further development of my web design skills! I'm not sure what the future is for my coding journey as of now. I ran into trouble but I managed to pull through and make it to the finish line. I learned so much in this workshop! Matt is a great teacher! I will forever be grateful with the help I received from Bruno, Joao, and Daniela! I cannot wait for the next workshop!
Another course that didn't let me down. I thought that I had learnt a lot before start the Responsive Workshop, but Matt Delac and SheCodes keep always surprising me, even more. So grateful for what I've learned! We keep going! 3/4!!!

This course has been a wonderful introduction to HTML, CSS and JS. I have worked with these in the past and the review was also very useful. Matt is easy to follow. I thought the layout of the course was well thought out and thorough.

In every one eyes coding is a big world full of complications! Here, SheCodes made this world understandable. you can go forward step by step, not confused with hard phrases. No word is said by Matt and left undefined, every thing is clear here. Highly recommended to absolute beginners.
