Finally finished the last course offered by SheCodes! REACT was a super fun course where I have learned a lot. It had it's tricky moments but I certainly enjoyed every step of it. Alongside the help from Matt, the team, as well as other students, I have managed to learn a lot. I never thought I would be able to develop both an weather app AND a dictionary app. This was a really fun trajectory!
Once I had completed SheCodes Basics, I was so excited to start SheCodes Pro! It has been a great course with a big focus on front-end development and API integration. I have learned a lot along the way and I am proud of what I have been able to create with these courses. I am looking forward to the SheCodes Responsive and SheCodes React. Thank you, Matt!

Coding is something I've dreamed of doing since my awesome dad let me see the first Matrix movie as a little girl. I always knew I had it in me but the path to get there seemed daunting. I had tried to teach myself but without a good teacher and organized lesson plan, I didn't make it very far. I liked the fact that the course had structure and deadlines. Really helpful in making sure I kept up with the course. The support team was brilliant and amazing at what they do. I did find bits of it slow or tedious - but I actually enjoyed the final project. I will be continuing on to the next course. would recommend for complete beginners. the way Matt talks you through step by step really helps you focus. Would definitely need more time to practise and internalise but like he said...google things you don't understand..watch more videos/youtube etc to help. thanks team SheCodes

3 months ago I didn't even know how to write a single line of HTML and now I've created 4 projects with SheCodes! I just turned 42- you are never to old to start something new. Matt and the SheCodes team are absolutely amazing. This is unlike any other bootcamp or workshop you may have tried before. The video's are structured in a way that anyone can learn. The community of teaching assistants Slack and other students are always there to help with any questions. The timing of the workshops can be done around any schedule - work, school kids if you have 15 minutes you have time for SheCodes. Thank you to Matt and the entire team for helping pursue new career opportunities.
Learning how to code had been on my list for a while now. I had tried it already in the past but somehow didn't feel motivated to continue. Everything changed when I discovered the SheCodes Workshops. I felt motivated and deeply into programming from the first moment. Matt manages to teach in a straightforward and practical way, which makes learning easy and fun. Looking forward to continuing my journey in programming with SheCodes!

After years of debating what kind of coding course would be right for me, I couldn't be happier with my decision to go with SheCodes. I am extremely impressed by how thorough, clear, and fun Matt makes all of the lessons - I genuinely look forward to watching the next lesson and tackling something new. The structure of the course provides a wonderful balance between learning a little bit in each lesson but also moving through an entire chapter of content each week. I never feel overwhelmed with how much I'm learning in each lesson, and yet by the end of the week I feel accomplished and like I've covered some good ground. I couldn't recommend this course enough for those who are feeling on the fence about learning code. I didn't think the experience of learning code could be so fun, and I think you'll find the same thing to be true!
SheCodes Basics is a very excellent beginning step towards the world of tech. It was a very organized workshop. I'm a 23-year-old college 'dropout' who was lost about the career I wanted to pursue in my future. After discovering what computer programming really consisted of, and starting to learn it by myself, I found SheCodes and I am so thankful that I did. SheCodes was a fun way to learn a useful skill! The deadlines are helpful to keep on track, but you're also able to work ahead if you like or get an extension if need be. The course is broken up into manageable mini-lessons, all of which are clean and concise. I love that Matt encourages searching for solutions yourself and also teaches how to look for answers on Google. I feel like I accomplished a goal and had the chance to be creative! Thank you for a great experience and a jumping-off point for learning more coding skills!
I cannot believe how far I've come in just three weeks of SheCodes Basics! Matt's video tutorials are so thorough, and the homework blends in seamlessly with the lesson of the week. This has been such a great introduction to coding and I am so excited to continue my journey!
I honestly thought coding would involve some combination of complex physics and math but after I attended the workshop, I thought differently. I got curious and signed up for SheCodes Basics and I was blown away by how fun coding could be. I’m still wondering how it all happened. I started to code and I cannot believe it 🙈. It’s hard, I’m struggling sometimes, it’s not easy. But everything comes with practice! That’s why (after learning JS a little bit more on my own, just to understand it better) I’m starting with react course ❤️. And I’m so curious and excited about the React🤩. So, simply, a very Big THANK U Matt Delac, for creating such a great, special She-platform 🙌❤️. It's the best course ever! Especially for women with full-time work like me. I reccomend a lot ❤️. The Plus workshop was fun, but also challenging at times. However, whenever you run into a problem you can always count on Matt's colleagues or other students to patiently look into it and explain what can be done better. All in all, it was a great experience and I learned a lot, so I would definitely recommend!
The Basics workshop was so much fun! Thank you, SheCodes, for making coding fun to learn and accessible. The material is well-organized and strikes just the right balance between theoretical knowledge and practical application. I especially appreciate Matt's knack as a teacher 1) to frame the concepts in clear and memorable terms, 2) to pace how quickly new material gets introduced and digested, and 3) to tailor explanations pragmatically to what we need to know yet without dumbing any of it down merely because we're neophytes. I highly recommend this workshop to beginners with no prior coding knowledge.
I've had so much fun doing this workshop so far! I am currently working as a nurse and had absolutely no knowledge of coding or web development before this workshop. Matt is an excellent instructor! I do love these courses, but again, I would have had NO idea how to build this website without following along with Matt step-by-step. I'm not sure how I'll be able to utilize this course for getting a job in the future, despite having a portfolio (that again, I would have never been able to build if I didn't just follow along). Hoping the React course provides more confidence in the SheCodes curriculum.

I come from a health care background looking to transition to the digital and technological world. I saw many opportunities for bootcamps, self-paced studies, and other coding resources but what I loved about SheCodes is that it gave me structure. I am well capable of learning on my own, but because I am so new to the industry, I didn't know where to even start. SheCodes Basic was an amazing experience. The lectures are very straightforward and filled with all the information you will need to succeed in completing all the lesson challenges and final project. The video lectures never got too long and monotonous, Matt did a great job organizing and blocking certain topics and following it up with a hands on challenge. He also gave the solutions after each challenge with the opportunity to resubmit and correct your work if necessary. Help was always available through the Slack chat and a team member always responded within a timely manner. This course was a great introduction to solidifying my future plans. I will be continuing this journey and diving in deeper! Thank you Matt and Team for helping me understand this whole new world of computer language!

SheCodes Basics was a great beginners course! I had some prior HTML/CSS knowledge from my MySpace days, but the instructor, Matt, did a great job going a little deeper into each topic. Javascript was brand new to me, so Week 2 was a little trickier but rewarding. Matt did a good job providing a clear overview of JavaScript basics. I loved all the exercises after each lesson, and I thought the weekly homework was an awesome way to put what I learned into practice. Overall, the course was appropriately challenging and fun!
In just 3 weeks I learned about HTML, CSS, JavaScript languages and I enjoy every steps of my learning with SheCodes. All thanks to Matt Delac, a passionate and dedicated teacher, who challenged us a lot. I appreciate the help I received over the slack, timely and straight to point. Going through the workshop was pretty intense, for all the good reasons. I usually paused and asked myself how hard it would have been learning all that Java Script without an instructor who broke everything into reasonable bits that one can easily absorb and process. Matt has been such a great instructor. The Slack technical team was amazing too. Well, Slack is where I learnt from other SheCoders that it is OK to feel stuck while working on a project, and that there is no shame at SheCodes if you cannot piece everything together at a given time. We are all learning and supportive of each other. Definitely, SheCodes is the place to be for everyone willing to learn coding. Here's to, as Matt says, happy coding.

As an absolute beginner, my experience with SheCodes was great. I was afraid I would not be able to do it, that I would find it too hard or get stuck or just bored of it, but it was the opposite. Thanks to a great team that is always ready to support you and Matt's very clear lessons, I managed to get through all classes and challenges and I actually understood how much I like coding. This is of course just the beginning, but I have found something challenging and fun that I really enjoy doing. I suggest to everybody who is interested in coding to give this a try and not be afraid: it is gonna be a rewarding experience.

As someone who has always had an interest in coding and tech but never knew how to get in (and having left school!) I really thought I would never be able to learn a skill such as this. After being recommended the course through a friend I couldn't be happier with the results so far! Great teaching tools and support through the Slack community and fun challenges with the appropriate amount of 'hand holding' vs encouragement to find the answers yourself! Although I am already an I.T. Professional (former Network Specialist), I have been out of the workforce for the past few years due to raising my family. This class felt like the perfect stepping stone for me to get back out into the professional world. Matt is a great teacher and the Basics class was surprisingly very in-depth, clear, and concise. I can't wait to take the more advanced classes and become UTD on the newer libraries and interfaces current employers demand.

It's natural to be skeptical about anything you buy on the internet. I've taken different courses before, and they ended up with disappointment. By recommendation of my manager, I've found SheCodes. I have learned amazing things, challenged by the weekly assignments and meeting the deadlines, and as a result, I've refreshed my memory on HTML, CSS, and Java. Before taking the workshop, I was able to do many things on my own, but the beauty of SheCodes is Matt explains every single thing with the reason behind them. In the end, you know which method you need to choose and why you are choosing it. I loved SheCodes and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks to Matt and his team, it couldn't be any easier to learn so much without losing any motivation, and only in a few weeks. You truly get out what you put in.
This workshop is fantastic when it comes to learning about using APIs. Javascript is tough but Matt lays it out really well for beginners.
This course covers pretty complicated and advanced stuff, but Matt clearly explained all of it for us, and I successfully completed the course. I am pretty content with what I have created so far and cannot wait to improve it more!

SheCodes was fast paced but really enjoyable. The videos explained things really well and it helped to see Matt trial and error things. I hope to take another workshop in the near future. The community on Slack with fellow students and mentors is very helpful for troubleshooting. I wish the feedback for the homework was a little more personable but with so many students I understand that it can't always be, but that's another reason why the community is helpful too. This was a fun, well-structured course. Matt did a great job breaking down the material into digestible chunks. I enjoyed the format of watch a video to learn a skill, do a challenge to use what you just learned, and then a video to show how the instructor would do it. I felt like I learned a lot in just 3 weeks.
