The course is structured in a way that is very organised in such that we would cover every bit of basic knowledge that is required for us to confidently finish up the final project.

Learning through practice is a new experience for me. The course was not easy, but step by step we explained all the details of creating a small site to determine the weather. If you follow the instructions, everything will work out. We were left with space for self-expression, so at the end of the course we received a large number of different projects. I really liked that you can watch how other participants of the course performed the tasks. Thank you for an interesting and useful experience.

I was first taught coding by my mother who had a Masters Degree in Computer Science over 30 years ago. That was when coding was young and all we could learn was DOS because none of these newer coding languages existed. This was my first time formally learning HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I can hardly believe that I was able to create real web pages so quickly. I have recently begun building No Code Apps and I am excited to enhance my projects by incorporating what I have learned through the SheCodes Basics Workshop. I could not be more excited about the opportunities that I foresee because I have begun to develop this new skillset. I am grateful.ππΎ

There are times when I just couldn't find enough time to work on homework/projects but you could extend the deadline and complete it later. You'll lost track of time easily when you code because it's so fun! I personally enjoy it overall.

Having completed the basic & plus courses, I was excited to take the next step. I'm so pleased with my final project, it looks very professional and I'm feeling confident in my responsive coding abilities. The step-by-step videos were easy to follow.
It was a great practice which I would highly recommend for enthusiasts looking how to populate their webpages with more content using public APIs. I am pleased with the result and overall I would say I have acquired some useful skills meanwhile building this project.

Great workshop, you need to do a lot of studying on your own obviously if you want to learn but the workshop gives you structure and keeps you motivated while working on a real-life project.

React has been my absolute favorite workshop in SheCodes. It is challenging but so powerful. Once I started to understand, I found myself coding around the clock! I am excited to keep working on both my weather application and dictionary. These were also great starting projects. I feel excited to try and build some new applications on my own!
These weeks were a challenge- oh my! It certainly took me longer than 5 hours a week because I have to break everything down and slowly process it. Also, my work life balance was a bit challenging, so I'm grateful for the extensions. It was certainly worth all the effort with the challenges because the final project was so satisfying to create. This was my favourite SheCodes project so far. I learned so much about media queries and bootstrap. It was also a great opportunity to learn how to create more advanced features on my own like animations.
I wanted to find out whether or not web development/coding is something I would be interested in and the SheCodes Basics Workshop was a very good tool to give me first impression of how things work. Great bite-sized lessons with a short practical task right after each, homework and a final project to keep you going. I'm certainly intrigued to dig deeper into the field. A very informative and practical workshop. It has it's challenges, but there is always help available on Slack, either from the SheCodes Team or from your fellow students. I think it's great that the final project gets you to create a fully functioning app, as this gives you a greater understanding of how the code actually works and how to apply it effectively. I would also highly recommend Matt Delac as a tutor. Matt has an easy to follow and clear style of delivery, which makes learning much more fun.
It's incredibly and unbelievable how its interesting and in the same time easy to make further actions, projects and homeworks after all Matt's lectures and instructions! I just want more and more of new knowledge and improvements of my skills! I so excited and thankful for this opportunity!

I really enjoyed sharing something I love (my town, Mitla!) in my final project. I'm surprised I could make something so polished after three weeks! Well, it's self-paced so more like two weeks for me.
The material is more than just easy to learn, it's also fun! Everything is presented in an engaging and no-pressure atmosphere. You can't help but feel proud of yourself when you finish a project or figure out a tricky spot.
I greatly enjoyed learning about how a web page is actually built from the ground up. The workshop was interesting, challenging and fun! The best part for me was the making my project where I was able to put my creativity at the forefront :)

I love that this course allows its students to complete coursework according to their own availability each week, while also having weekly assignments and projects that help keep you accountable and on-track. This is really a great course! I made my first pet project from scratch - a weather app (this can be included in the resume). It is very important to practice on a real project. In this course we create the application step by step. Step by step Matt explains even the most complex things in a very clear way. I have always been interested in technology, organization, and creativity. I am looking for a career change and I have been becoming more interested in coding. It is a very scary concept and I had no idea how to even start learning. I came across SheCodes and jumped right into the courses. Matt is a GREAT teacher! He is so easy to follow and I was able to complete the final project almost completely by myself!
I've learned a lot through SheCodes Plus, the project was a lot of fun and challenging. Java Script is definitely something I need to work on, but the team and students helped me get over those bumps I had along the way of building my project! :)
