It's great that we can use the SheCodes APIs, and I've enjoyed building this project a lot, but again, the React workshops are so out-of-date that I've used other resources in an attempt to make a more modern build using Vite and TailwindCSS to practice something new.

It was a good learning curve adjusting the code of my vanilla JS weather app to React. I built it with Vite since the suggested create-react-app has been deprecated, and the tutorial videos of this workshop haven't been updated in a few years it seems, so I wanted to try to learn up-to-date methods, which meant using React, Vite and Netlify documentation and YouTube videos to learn what I needed to complete this project in React.

I really enjoyed being able to completely work on a project from wireframe to deployment. Integrating two new API's in one website was a challenge - but now I know I can do it!

I think I had mentioned it last time, I hadn't coded anything in 20 years and I stumbled across SheCodes about 2-3 years ago. Life got in the way, the usual things, work, kids, cats, you name it, but what I like the most about it is that I can come back and rewatch the topics that washed away with time from memory. I just select what I want, chuck it when I need it and continue with the following topics. Friendly reminder from someone who didn't check the browser settings while coding the final project: check your browser zoom settings before you submit it :D

I really enjoyed the new CSS features that I added to my project. In my design process, I used the She Codes CSS generator to lighten images, add gradients, and transform images as well. I loved learning how CSS grids work, and most importantly, I was able to change the theme of my page. I added more features to the dark mode to make it more visually appealing. Well folks! I recently completed my responsive design class with a personal project close to my heart—a landing page celebrating my hometown of Plattsburgh, NY. From local hangouts like The Koffee Kat to the natural beauty of Lake Champlain and the Saranac River Trail, I built a mobile-friendly site that captures the charm and spirit of the community I grew up in. The SheCodes Python Basics workshop was a fantastic starting point for me. The lessons were clear, well-structured, and easy to follow. I especially loved the hands-on exercises and mini projects, which helped me immediately apply what I learned. By the end of the course, I felt confident writing simple Python programs and understanding fundamental concepts like variables, loops, and functions. This course has motivated me to continue learning and explore more advanced topics. I’m grateful to SheCodes for making coding accessible and enjoyable!

The Python Advanced workshop provided useful practical skills in data analysis and manipulation. Learning to process CSV files and create professional visualizations initially felt challenging, but the step-by-step approach made it achievable. The hands-on projects taught me to break complex problems into manageable pieces. Despite the debugging challenges and moments of confusion, completing my final project was very rewarding. As overwhelming, difficult, and, at times, frustrating as this process has been, I am looking forward to continuing to practice and pushing myself.

Just completed my 2 week AI workshop and project. It was interesting to learn how useful AI can be with correct prompt engineering and API Integration. This project was a lot of fun, but also challenging. I got stuck at some point, but when I finally figured it out, it was such a great feeling of achievement.
