I really enjoyed the Python AI Workshop and learning how to combine Python with AI and APIs to build real, functional projects. The workshop boosted my confidence in coding and made learning Python fun and practical!

This was a huge milestone for me. I made every mistake possible, repeated containers, threw classes around like they were free, and named things with zero meaning until my code turned into a mountain of classes with no meaning. The project looked great on the outside, but behind the scenes it was heavy, messy, and absolutely not maintainable. So I refactored it just about 20 times. In the end, I learned more than I expected not just about layout and my old nemeses (positioning and grid 😅), but about writing clean, maintainable code.

This project was a game changer, it required me to go back to previous workshops and actually understand the concept of React. And I liked the fact that our instructor was using a different API than ours. So this was not just following our instructor it was actually testing, deleting, coding and deleting again and recapping before it all made sense. The little struggle was worth it and I am confident in my skills now.

Python, so far, has been so much easier for me to understand than JavaScript and I've really enjoyed learning more and applying my new knowledge to the AI Roadtrip Planner project.

Loved how the project allowed me to apply what I learned during the two weeks. This project was fun and engaging. I'm glad I was able to learn more about integrating AI APIs.

Fun project

I recently completed the SheCodes bootcamp, and it's been a game-changer for me! I started with zero coding experience, and now I feel confident building my own projects.

I had so much fun creating this project for SheCodes basic add on. Was difficult but I got there in the end with lots of trial and error!

The Basics Add-On was such a short and sweet course to do. Good pace, teaching lots of new skills to apply to future projects to make them look and perform just that little bit better.

Thank you for the React course on SheCodes. It was clear, practical, and empowering. The hands-on projects and supportive community helped me gain confidence and knowledge^^.

I joined SheCodes feeling quite intimidated by code, but this workshop changed that completely. The lessons are short, clear, and very well structured, and I really like how each concept is followed immediately by a small exercise or project. Building real projects with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (like the landing page with dark/light mode and animations) helped me understand why I was writing each line of code, not just copying it. Matt’s explanations are friendly and motivating, and the platform makes it easy to follow along at my own pace. This was a wonderful course project. Matt's explanations is so clear. We built the project one step at the time. It's great that it's recorded, so when the recording screen doesn't match what I see on my computer, I can back the recording and analyze where it went wrong. Often it's a typo. Figuring stuff on my own, was so challenging but so rewarding. I recommend this course 100%. Thank you SheCodes.

Python coding is a great tool to add to my skillset. Hence, I enrolled in this class to learn the basics. At my workplace, I've already started coding small projects (succesfully whoo!), though the basics I learned were far from what I need at my job (btw I need to use pyvisa, panda etc.) I have the basics to get me started, I just need to lookup the proper syntax, some googling and reading scpi commands from the manuals. This is great for beginners and completely digestible! AI tool is great but without knowing the basics, it's like driving an autopilot car without knowing how to drive. Happy coding!

I loved completing another project with API integration, this time using AI! I really enjoyed learning about both and bringing them together in one project. I also appreciate the constant revision aspect of these workshops, as well as the opportunity to contribute to a new project each time. I'm feeling more confident in my coding skills as I work through each of these workshops!

The SheCodes Advanced Python Workshop was amazing! I learned so much about writing cleaner, more powerful code and gained the confidence to take on advanced programming projects. This project was a real test. I cannot remember being this frustrated over something I couldn't get right on the get-go or on the first or second try, but I'm blown away that I built a fully functional weather app from the ground up.

Building the React Weather App was such a fun project! I got to use everything I’ve learned about React — hooks, APIs, and responsive design — and it was so satisfying to see live weather data update in real time. It really boosted my confidence in creating interactive apps from scratch.

i really enjoying making another project using react because i felt that I got a better understanding.

The past few weeks on this have been an incredible learning experience! From revising HTML/CSS/JS to diving into APIs and using them to integrate data into the app, the design of this workshop was very helpful. Having the chance to work on the project alongside Matt, who was working on his own, made a huge difference. It helped avoid bugs and provided the benefit of having a (kind of) coding partner. The explanations were thorough and easy to follow. This workshop will be especially enjoyable for anyone looking for a challenge, and the results will leave you feeling really proud of what you have accomplished!

I am amazed at how this learning process has given me the confidence to code an entire website. The last time I did it, I used WordPress, and everything seemed so confusing — doable, but confusing, because I didn’t understand the background of what I was doing. But now, I can build it from scratch and personalize everything I need and want. This is the first step in the creation of my portfolio website and, as an Architect, a step that gives me full freedom to display my Projects in the way I see fit for them. I’ve been following SheCodes for months, but I was initially skeptical of yet another online course. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Right from the start, you get a solid introduction that sets the tone, followed by a well-structured course with clear, comprehensive explanations and assignments that reinforce what you’ve learned. The homework and final project are especially valuable. They help you apply the know-how in a different context, which really deepens your understanding. It’s fun, engaging, and very focused on quickly enabling users to start building and experimenting. As a Product Owner who casually designs customer journeys, including automated email flows, I can already see how this will support my work.

This was a tough one! My first project using React application. Very challenging but a lot of fun! Matt, allowed us to figure things out ourselves at the same time guiding us through the entire project. He is an excellent teacher. Very excited to continue with more coding adventures! ^_^

Wow!!! What an awesome project to start SheCodes back up and getting to play around with AI! This AI Add-On course was a great way to show us developers how to integrate AI powered tools with HTML, CSS, and JS to produce a page to interact with users. Following along with the lessons and getting to see how much change happens with each push was exciting! Every time this course was being worked on through the weeks, I was seeing my page coming to life! Thank you Matt and the SheCodes family!

I recently completed the SheCodes bootcamp, and it's been a game-changer for me! I started with zero coding experience, and now I feel confident building my own projects.

Building this dictionary app was a fantastic deep dive into core React concepts. I went from understanding the theory to applying it in a real, functional project. The foundation was built on breaking the UI into reusable components and managing the flow of information between them using props. A huge part of this project was managing state with the useState hook. I used it for everything from tracking the user's search term to handling loading and error states. I got a lot of practice with rendering dynamic data by mapping over arrays from the API to display lists of definitions, synonyms, and photos. I also implemented more advanced features, like conditional rendering to show results only after a search and handling user events to create an interactive, clickable photo gallery.

Enjoyed it very much, though i wish i chose to do another project

This week was a breakthrough in my coding journey. Learning how to understand and fetch APIs transformed the way I build - suddenly, my projects felt alive, interactive, and full of possibility. What once felt complex now feels intuitive and exciting. I’ve started integrating real-time data, generating dynamic content, and building tools that respond to users in meaningful ways. It’s not just about writing code anymore - it’s about creating experiences. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and even more excited about where I’m headed. Every line of code now feels like a conversation with the world.

Python Advanced was definitely the hardest concept for me to grasp and truly understand. Data filtering was especially challenging. It took real effort to make sense of what each line of code did and why it worked. However, following the video lessons and completing the challenges eventually made the concepts much easier to understand. The best part? You can always go back to review the solutions and try everything again. I love that there's no pressure to get everything immediately rightand that's what makes SheCodes great. This course is absolutely worth it because the skills apply directly to real-world projects!

In the summary of the workshop Matt said, ‘If you feel frustrated, take a break and come back.’ and I took many breaks, ‘If you run out of inspiration, take a walk and come back.’ and I took many runs, and I came back. This project was very challenging, design is not my strongest suit, and positioning is my nemesis. Facing both demons at once tested my patience and grit. I’m not sure how I feel about my final design yet, but I am proud that I finished it. Maybe with more practice and experience, I’ll create something with more polish, but for now, completing it feels like sweet victory.

As someone who’s built a career in both financial services administration and the events industry, I’ve always loved working in fast-paced, detail-driven environments. Stepping into the world of coding has opened up a whole new side of that energy, one where creativity meets logic and every challenge sparks curiosity. Completing SheCodes Plus has been such an empowering experience. This course helped me move beyond the basics and truly understand how to bring ideas to life through code.
