I had lots of fun learning SheCodes Responsive. It was challenging at times but Matt made things easier to understand. I kept my portfolio project simple, looking forward to updating my site with SheCodes React
I really enjoyed learning about React for this course. Having completed most of the workshops, I feel like I can really go far with Matt's knowledge and advice on coding. I don't think I would've been able to get this far in my coding journey otherwise and it was a pleasure to work on different projects under Matt's mentorship!
This add-on workshop taught me new skills to apply to real world projects. As in the previous workshops, the combination of theory and practical exercises is great as it allows me to immediately apply what I just learned.
I'm feeling happy that I've had an opportunity to learn a reality useful development tool - react. Looking forward to create more projects!

The most challenging course so far! I really wanted to learn react, it was undoubtedly the hardest course so far but also the most rewarding! I was a little sorry that the final project was again a weather app, but I understand since it touches on almost all the important points. Very happy to be on this journey and to keep learning! I'm excited to learn more tips and tricks for the next React workshop.

My name is Sthandiwe Msweli from South Africa and my coding journey so far has been amazing. So before I started coding I graduated in Business and information Manangement and I was not happy with what I've studyed but because I wanted to have a qulification and get a job so I can earn a living so i went on with it. Fast cracking my story after I graduated had no luck in finding a job so after a year, on my second year of staying at home without any luck of getting a job, I did a free trail in coding on some bootcamp and I fall inlove with it but to enroll to that bootcamp you needed funding which I did'nt have. So I did my reserch and I ended up founding SheCodes Foundation that when I start my coding journey and it has been a wonderful journey and I thank the Lord for this opportunity still on it and excicted for more learning and more adventure in coding 💜 plus I have completed my shecodes plus and responsive it was challenging but yet amazing experience the fact that I now have my first project that operates with real life data it amazes me I’m learning a lot can not wait for my next lessons and project ❤️”

SheCodes Plus Add-On was another great workshop by Matt! I really enjoyed diving deeper into javascript and enjoyed building a new and exciting project in such a short period of time.
This project is a great guide for anyone wanting help to finalize a portfolio page. If you already have knowledge of building websites, Matt is also giving you tools how to climb the Google ranks.

I have really enjoyed this course! Matt is a great instructor. It is something I really look forward to in my day as a stay-at-home mom of two toddlers. I had lot's of fun completing weekly challenges and the project. The biggest advantage of this course is that you can postpone a submission date and study with your pace.
SheCodes Plus was super challenging for me, but so rewarding. Juggling my final semester of university and the workshop was overwhelming but i am so glad i finished it! I have learned so much from this workshop and working on the final project was super fun, even when i got stuck and found it difficult, i was able to work on my debugging skills and pay extra attention to details. All in all, amazing workshop. On to the next one!

Very interesting course, react is definately a step up from what we've been learning so far. However, once you start to break everything down into components it all starts to make sense. Will definately be practicing some beginner projects on my own too.
This project was much interesting. I want to try to do something new, to do something of my own.Personally, I did not have enough people next to whom I could discuss the steps of the project. Working on the dictionary app project, I quickly realized how challenging yet exciting coding can be. There were moments when things got tricky, but with every line of code, I saw my vision coming to life. I am very proud, this dictionary app is close to what I had imagined. This workshop certainly took my very young coding skills to the limit! I adored seeing my project take shape, but it certainly made me step back a few times and think about how to solve the problem. The colloboration and resources which are available definitely saved my bacon on this one! But I'm really proud of my weather app and I shall use it every day :)

I'm so excited to have finished the SheCodes Plus workshop! I can't believe how much I've learned. I'm so proud of myself for sticking with it, even when things got tough. I learned HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and I'm now confident that I can create my own websites and web applications. JavaScript was definitely the most challenging for me, but I was able to overcome it with the help of the SheCodes resources, especially Athena AI. My final project was a weather application that fetches live data from a weather API. It was a challenging project, but it was also so much fun! I learned so much about weather data and how to display it in a user-friendly way. I would highly recommend the SheCodes workshop to anyone who is interested in learning how to code. It's an amazing opportunity to learn from experienced instructors and to build a community of supportive women.

The dictionary project is a fun project overall. However, I found a notable issue with the integration of the Pexels API for image display. It seems this part of the workshop is significantly outdated, going by the oldest Slack messages, which date back about two months (as far as I could find). Despite API changes and a different authorization process, the lesson continues to rely on the outdated method. Surprisingly, the project's GitHub repository hasn't seen any updates for an entire year. Mind you, the lesson in question is only 30 minutes long. Inquiries on Slack about these concerns received a canned response stating that the Pexels API underwent recent changes. This led to the existing setup being dysfunctional, without an updated lesson. Instead, a new Images API was suggested as a replacement when asking for help in the Slack messenger. I believe a notice within the lesson itself about the changed API integration would be appropriate. Other lessons have included such notices before, so it's puzzling why it's missing here. This could save others from unnecessary frustration when grappling with a broken method. To those taking on this project, be prepared for potential roadblocks due to this outdated API setup. It's disappointing that such a significant flaw hasn't been addressed more proactively.

This add-on was a great way to learn some more base skills I feel a professional coder would know, but I would not have known so it makes me more confident in my abilities. The project was also a lot of fun to put together, and it is nice to see the things learned applied into a great looking project for my portfolio.

Fun little project that looks nice without too much effort. It's a bit of a challenge to make it responsive without using bootstrap or the other techniques learnt in the main responsive workshop, but it's cool that Matt shows us different ways :)
I can't believe I learned how to code a weather app! I certainly will need to practice many more times to be able to do it on my own from scratch. However, the step-by-step instructions that SheCodes provides make it possible to learn this process. I love how each week was a small portion of the project, and then the last two weeks we repeated the process to put it all together. The teaching in SheCodes is so good that I am even able to problem-solve and make small changes on my own. I am glad we keep using Bootstrap because the more I practice with it, the more I am getting the hang of how to use it. I loved the SheCodes Weather API and Athena AI really came through for me a couple of times!
