I’ve just completed the Python module from the SheCodes course. Throughout these weeks, I learned to work with Python functions, interact with external APIs, and manipulate dates using methods like strftime. I have finally completed the SheCodes Plus Workshop. These past few weeks have been a bit challenging, balancing between school work and the program. I am glad that my hard work did pay, with late nights trying to meet weekly deadlines. I also love what I created in my final project, a weather app with a search engine that displays the weather conditions of the city searched, as well as the city's 5-day weather forecast. I got to polish my JavaScript skills with the help of the weekly lessons and homeworks given by our instructor, Matt Delac.

I have completed the SheCodes Plus AI Workshop, and I’m honestly so proud of the progress I've made. I managed to finish everything within the two weeks given, and the experience was both challenging and incredibly rewarding. My final project involved building a form that, when searched, generates a Kenyan cuisine recipe using JavaScript's responsiveness. Improving my JavaScript skills and building something that felt meaningful really boosted my confidence as a developer. I am really proud of what I've created through the lessons given by our instructor, Matt Delac.

I created a really good looking webpage that is fully responsive - without the use of any frameworks (made use of Bootstrap for the previous project). It was fun!

This week’s workshop/project around building a World Clock was by far the most challenging for me. The learning curve felt steep, and I quickly realized that Matt wasn’t exaggerating when he said that working with dates, and understanding them, is impressive because of how complex it can be! I’m really glad I pushed through it all within the week, though. It forced me to fully immerse myself in the code and experiment with different approaches, which helped deepen my understanding.

This class was very challenging when it came to doing the final project. I had to stop and start the project to see my mistakes in the code. I did better on this project than on the last project.

I really enjoyed the Python AI Workshop and learning how to combine Python with AI and APIs to build real, functional projects. The workshop boosted my confidence in coding and made learning Python fun and practical!

This was a huge milestone for me. I made every mistake possible, repeated containers, threw classes around like they were free, and named things with zero meaning until my code turned into a mountain of classes with no meaning. The project looked great on the outside, but behind the scenes it was heavy, messy, and absolutely not maintainable. So I refactored it just about 20 times. In the end, I learned more than I expected not just about layout and my old nemeses (positioning and grid 😅), but about writing clean, maintainable code.

This project was a game changer, it required me to go back to previous workshops and actually understand the concept of React. And I liked the fact that our instructor was using a different API than ours. So this was not just following our instructor it was actually testing, deleting, coding and deleting again and recapping before it all made sense. The little struggle was worth it and I am confident in my skills now.

Python, so far, has been so much easier for me to understand than JavaScript and I've really enjoyed learning more and applying my new knowledge to the AI Roadtrip Planner project.
