Honestly, it is quite tough not having Bootstrap to help me with the styling. It is the struggles that help me grow! Though the project is far from perfect, I am very proud of how far I have come 😊.
I'm grateful for this opportunity that was given to me. I enjoyed every step of learning how to code, easy to follow and fun. also, I had a little fun doing the project:)

Initially, I found it to be a little difficult, but I was happy to notice that we were working on the main project the entire time and learning it bit by bit. It became a welcome and engaging challenge for me. I had so much fun and feel like I learned so much!!

The course was pretty fun and really easy to follow. I enjoyed that every new thing I learned I immediately had to try. It really helped to get through the learning process. The projects/homework at the end of each week were really fun too!
A great course to gain confidence on how to code without the use of Bootstrap etc. As always, Matt encourages you to build a project that you are passionate about to keep you going when you face challenges and start to get stuck on a problem.
I felt like the previous workshops gave me a better understanding of the language. I am not walking away from the React workshop feeling like I have a good beginner understanding of it. There were frequent comments about "this is really difficult, you don't need to know why this works this way, just do it" which doesn't help with ultimately understanding the framework. Additionally, while there is some merit in being able to adapt previous code to a new framework, I disliked not having a new project to work on. I wanted to work on a fresh project that would potentially need different types of logic employed. I felt a bit hoodwinked when I saw we were just doing the weather app again.
I am so glad that I took this React course with SheCodes because I learned so much. Coding is not easy but it does pay off at the end when you see your projects come to life and it feels good knowing you didn't quit. Coding is not for everyone and that is ok but if you can learn even the basics you already gained a skill you didn't have before.
I recently completed the SheCodes Basic workshop and it exceeded all of my expectations. The instructor was knowledgeable and made the material both accessible and enjoyable. The hands-on project and challenges allowed me to apply what I learned in a fun and engaging way. I was amazed at how much I was able to accomplish in such a short amount of time and I feel confident in my newfound coding skills. It was such an interesting and informative course. After finishing my project, I feel like I'm one step closer to discovering the world of coding. I still have a lot to learn, but I'm very glad to be on this journey.
I came back to this extra project after finishing SheCodes Plus, half as a refresher and the other half to complete an extra project. And I'm glad I did, because I learn a number of new tips and tricks in the extra project I would have otherwise had to struggle with. So glad I signed up for the Max package to be able to do these extra fun projects!
This course was an encouraging introduction to coding from scratch. The most exciting was the final project which allowed me to channel all I have learned in the past weeks while applying my skills as a designer to the project.
This course was super beneficial. I love how it went straight to the point and did not leave me in the tutorial loop hole. So glad I came out with a project under my belt, one that was so fun to do as well
This workshop was much needed! Learning how to make my projects responsive was a game changer and really beneficial. After finishing, I went through and edited my previous projects so now they look great no matter what screen size they are being viewed on!

SheCodes React was definitely one of my most challenging workshops. I took a lot of time to finish this project, but at the same time, it was fascinating! Matthieu Delac breaks down the whole process into easy-to-understand pieces. Shout out to João, Vlada, and Paul, who have been incredible guides! It's a pleasure to see the final result and to know what I accomplished in the 6 weeks. The SheCodes journey has elevated my desire to learn more and practice my skills in real-life projects. Definitely would recommend this course!

I never expected that my journey with SheCodes would be so fulfilling, and it has changed my life completely. I have learnt the fundamentals of coding and now I am able to create programs that I never thought possible. I enjoyed this workshop, I had no experience with code, and seeing how I was able to code the Final Project from scratch was a conquer! Matt's lessons are very clear and easy to follow. I recommend this workshop specially to girls with no background in code.

I was in Tech Sales for around 12 years, but I always knew that was not my happy place. After I took the first SheCodes class, I finally realised that my real passion is not selling Tech, it's being in it! I decided to switch careers and I've never been this motivated and happy. To see my workshop project become a reality made me feel so proud and excited. Can't wait to continue with Responsive and React, and I'm very much looking forward to what my future will bring. As a designer with an education in UI/UX and strong interest in front-end development, SheCodes Basic and Plus were valuable resources on my journey towards refreshing my knowledge of HTML/CSS and Git, as well as picking up new ones in JS, APIs, and more. The lessons were clear and concise, and I liked that the platform allowed me to view and review the SheCodes videos, notes, and other recourses at my own pace. The community is also inspiring, warm, and diverse. I enjoyed connected with a handful of SheCodes alumni as well as fellow students over LinkedIn over the past months. With the help of Matt and the SheCodes community, I feel supported and engaged in my journey towards a career in combined UI/UX and front-end development. I'm also excited to continue working on this project and alongside new ones, in the upcoming weeks!

This course taught HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The course was well-structured and easy to follow, with fun little projects that kept me engaged and motivated. The instructors on Slack were knowledgeable, available to answer any questions I had and being able to talk to the community was great. The course provided a great introduction to web development and gave me the foundation to continue learning. Overall, I highly recommend this course to anyone interested in learning to code and developing their web development skills.
Although this workshop was challenging, I enjoyed it a lot! It took my coding skills to the next level, but I still have more to learn. My understanding and knowledge is growing. It's crazy to look back and see how much I've learned and projects I've built. Thank you SheCodes!

I had a really great time creating The Godfather website for the responsive workshop. I showcased a lot of past HTML and CSS skills that I have learned from the beginning of the course. This project was a challenge because we weren't allowed to use any frameworks like Bootstrap. everything had to be created with pure HTML and CSS.
I really enjoyed this course as a simple introduction to coding and I loved getting stuck into working on the homework, and my final project! I found I was able to lean in to my creative side, while learning a new technical skill.

This was my favourite course that I've done with SheCodes, so far! Super interesting and well-laid out. I felt like I gained a lot of new skills and information throughout this section. The final project was really fun to create and also can be applied in real-life which is awesome.

I am a girl high school who has a dream to learn as much code as I can. Before SheCodes I never had much experience at all, this was great for teaching me basics and now I know how I can build off of it. The SheCodes curriculum structure is great for a beginner like me, learning each new skill and element in a practical way that made sense and could be applied to real-world situations. A great balance between having step-by-step instruction and independent problem-solving. The website has some amazing free resources too which are fun to explore, already have some ideas for future mini projects. Looking forward to starting SheCodes Plus and learning more!
It was very challenging and fun to do. The final project is set up very well, making it easy to follow all the steps and implement personal changes to the code.
The Plus workshop was definitely challenging, but Matt's videos made it super easy and clear to follow. The SheCodes team on Slack also helped me out a lot, so I appreciate their hard work. I learned so much and pushed myself more than ever. I never thought I would be able to build anything like my Weather App project, but I love how it came out. I can't wait to continue on learning with SheCodes.

SheCodes Responsive thoroughly taught me how to effectively build a multiple-paged responsive website that is SEO-friendly from scratch. I learned a whole lot from using CSS media queries to mastering Boostrap and then understood how to effectively do a project set-up for any other projects I'll be embarking on. It was an amazing ride all the way!!
