This was a very interesting and valuable experience. I enjoy learning from SheCodes and I've been very enthusiastic to finish my challenges and project. Stepping into next level of this journey is an exciting feeling for me.
I really liked the workshop! It was very friendly to follow and a perfect way to introduce me to the world of coding. It was awesome how everything we learned come together in the final project. :) P.S. The music on the Radio was awesome too!
This course is perfect for beginners! It includes lots of little exercises and challenges, including a bigger project to help you learn and get better at coding. Would definitely recommend :)

SheCodes is a great platform. I believe if a person wants learn coding, starting with HTML and CSS is a right choice and SheCodes is just the perfect place for it. I LOVED learning the basics of coding in this workshop! I was able to manage the lessons, homework, and project around my full time job in IT, and I feel like I'm starting to learn a new language! If you're on the fence about signing up - DO IT! You won't regret learning something new :)

It was quite a journey to learn coding with React, including moments of frustration, but mostly with positive feelings when my ideas came alive. Thanks to Matt and the entire SheCodes team it felt so much easier to get started with coding. And I can’t wait to use my new skills in many more projects. For me coding is the perfect mix of creativity, logic and detective work.
This project is more than a weather app to me, it's a mosaic of the skills the SheCodes team helped me develop, and I'm excited to share it! I enjoyed this workshop and the challenges were certainly *challenging*, but always worth the effort. Can't wait to begin the next project!
When I began my coding journey, I didn't have a path to follow but with SheCodes, that path was defined. A path that is easy for anyone to follow and learn. I always felt a sense of fulfillment upon the completion of my homework as someone who had no prior coding knowledge. Two months into the workshop, I can build projects with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Skills I never thought I'd have. I am grateful to the SheCodes Foundation for the opportunity.
I have learned so much so far by taking SheCodes Basics and Plus! It is really satisfying to have finished this weather project after just starting coding a month ago.
I really work hard for this project, balancing between work, family, and the course, but I enjoy the process very much, I have a blast doing the homeworks, and when it's time to submit the project, well, let's say that I feel great, that I can make the weather app. Thank you so much Matt, You're a blessing for us.

I was really looking forward to this course because one of my goals was to build an online portfolio. I truly enjoyed learning about responsive web design. I’m excited to be adding two more React projects to my portfolio after this!
WOW, this was challenging, but I made it!! 👩💻 Matt is a great teacher, yet I often wanted to give up because I couldn't figure it out myself, but thankfully the support team on slack was always there for us. I am very happy with my final project though, I loved the last two weeks building it 😍 thank you, everyone!
React is definitely more challenging than I thought but having done both the weather and dictionary app gave me perspective on how to use it. It's funny how one small dot or letter can make an app crash. Both projects made me be even more alert and focused when typing. I ready ready for the next and final course💁🏽♀️👩🏽💻
I had so much fun working on the weather app project! I was amazed by how much I learned in this workshop. The videos are well paced and informative, the challenges are fun, and the the weekly deadlines help me stay on track. Can't wait to continue doing workshops and learning more coding!
I never thought I'd be able to understand front end code, let alone write it. Yet, here we are three weeks after taking the SheCodes plunge and I've just submitted my first project! The best thing about it? I looked forward to working on the project and the mini challenges every day. Matt teaches at the perfect pace and I love that you can recap on lessons if you want a refresh. 😊 I can't wait to start SheCodes Plus now and build on the knowledge - very excited to see where this goes! 🙌
This weather app is my second project with SheCodes. It's been quite an adventure for me. I started off strong, then I was ill for a couple of months, but I was happy to finally get back to finishing it. I struggled quite a bit, but I am so grateful for João's tremendous kindness and help - I couldn't have achieved my vision without him. I am so happy and proud of the result. I really hope to come back to this project and figure out how to get the page to load faster because that's the only thing that bothers me a bit. Aside from that, I have learned a lot! I created my own SVGs, which I can now say I will never do again, but I am happy for the experience :P I learned about APIs, hosting, GitHub, and obtained greater knowledge of JavaScript, which is not easy - I still have a lot to learn, but thanks to SheCodes I know a lot more than I did last year. I am now moving on to React and then Responsive. I am super excited! Thank you Matt, João, Julie, and Daniela! :D
The weather app was the second project I was able to realize through SheCodes. I learned such fundamental things as using APIs, using a hosting service to make my app accessible online and how to connect and update this hosting service with my code on GitHub. Besides that my understanding for Java Script was really broadened. At the same time this course was definitely much more complex than "SheCodes Basics" and I really struggled sometimes. When I got stuck the support of SheCodes helped out very professionally! Big shout-out to João and Bruno!!
I really enjoyed building the projects. I have to admit that this workshop was pretty advanced for me but I loved to see how I was improving to find my mistakes. Thank you for all your help!
Another SheCodes project finished, and when I look back to my first project, I'm amazed on how much more professional my work now looks. Matt provides us the tools to build on our previous knowledge!

I'm absolutely in love with this course. I didn't finish my project on time though but it keeps you motivated to continue, to find a spare moment and archive the goal, even step by step. My third workshop with SheCodes and once again, very satisfied with it! I'm happy I was taught how to make an online portfolio of my current projects and that it is responsive. Can't wait to add more projects to my portfolio and continue to improve it.
I have always been interested in coding. I, unfortunately, was told I was not a good fit for coding when I enrolled in college due to my lifestyle (wife and mother of two). I decided to follow the counselor's advice and in 2020 completed my major in Creative Writing. Throughout my school years, however, I took some coding classes and came across SheCodes--a coding program specifically built for women! Now that I am more confident and have more time for myself, I signed up with SheCodes ^_^ The lessons are broken down in a way that makes learning to code approachable, and the final project truly involved all that I learned. The SheCodes support team was very kind, understanding, and helpful. It's an efficient and easy-to-follow program, I recommend it to all.
I often say to everyone around me that SheCodes is the best thing that has ever happened in my life so far. In my case, this course is not about learning coding only and by the way, we have the best teacher ever... but it is also about fulfillment and happiness with what I am doing. I'll be forever grateful for everything I've learned here and for starting my journey in the best place. The course is so well done that I could learn something from each lesson and apply immediately to my project. Matt is absolutely awesome! I am extremely excited to start React and have a lot of fun ... today!

SheCodes has been instrumental in showing me that I can code and that it's not as scary as it may seem at first. Everything is hands-on, and that really works for me as I learn best by doing. Not only that, but I could fit it in to my lifestyle - it was easy to balance the assignments, modules, and projects while maintaining balance between my work, social, and home life. I'm so glad I found SheCodes and it's definitely going to help me kick-start my coding career.

This was a very exciting course to be part of and learn from. It is very easy to understand and learn from what is provided, but the most amazing part is that you don't learn like a "parrot", you have to apply code and thinking of your own. You get help from a tech team and your fellow learners which is great! I had so much fun with my final project and intend to just keep making it better and creating other fun projects.

Had a fantastic time learning the basics again and if you are a newbie or someone who wanted to refresh those coding skills, this course is for you. This workshop has been so great; I would highly recommend to anyone looking to learn about coding or web development! I've learned so much in just 3 weeks! The learn-then-apply format has been excellently executed by SheCodes, using a lesson + challenge + solution for each topic. This was super easy to follow and can be done at any pace, starting and stopping at any time. The cheat sheets are also great references for the homework, project, and future use. I like that the content of the workshop is modern and we learn to be resourceful in a modern way (using google searches to learn more, Slack channels to solve problems with our classmates, etc.). The available resources and the lessons were awesome, it was easy to understand and gives extra room to make the individual put effort to also look around and get used to researching for some other areas like stack overflow. The portfolio was an exciting project which makes me feel like I need to make a better one!

I really enjoyed this workshop and I have really surprised myself with how much I have learnt in such a short space of time. I literally knew NOTHING about coding and I'm super impressed with what I've been able to do for my final project. The course is broken down into really digestible chunks so it is easy to keep up. I was thinking about coding for a while, but being a Conservation Biologist had no idea where and how to start 😂 I am super happy I have discovered SheCodes. The classes are designed so well, that it doesn't even feel like I am having a class. I learned so much from the basic course. I have wanted for some time now to learn coding which I have tried different programs, and none of them worked. I felt like was watching step after step, not really doing or learning. When it came to SheCodes and Matt, I felt like I was actually learning and with a great teacher. When it did come time to do my project, I knew what to do or if I was not sure where to look for assistance. I cannot wait for the next SheCode course!
I took this course to find out if coding was something I enjoyed and wanted to pursue as a career change. Thanks to Matt and the SheCodes team, I feel confident that this is just the beginning of my coding career and I am excited for what my future holds. This workshop was my third from SheCodes. Coding is challenging but with the guidance SheCodes team, it is easier! I love the personal approach to the students and the help behind the projects. Everything is well explained, the homework helped me to practice and the real-life projects are great as a tool to practice but also to put it to a portfolio as well. I can't wait to start the next SheCodes workshop! 100% recommended!
I really loved the lessons in SheCodes Plus -- they were super comprehensive and easy to understand. It was great that the final project could be as complex or a simple as you wanted to make it, leaving a lot of room for creativity!
The bootcamp gave me the basic skills I needed to become good at web development. The projects were a fun way to practice the skills I gained.
If you can keep pace and stay self guided throughout, this class is PHENOMENAL. You learn so, so much in such a short period of time. I will be using these new-found skills for my own personal independently operated graphic design business, but also hopefully in a job I get soon (I am already in interviews for a Project Manager position).
I had a lot of fun building my final project. It was challenging and sometimes felt desperate, but in the end you can always find an answer if you ask or google well enough! It feels that I`ve learnt so much in the course of this project.
SheCodesPlus has been both a fun and challenging journey for me! I enjoyed the fact that I could watch the video lessons as many times as I needed and I could even go back to them after a while in case of doubts! Matt's explanations are clear and easy to follow and the support team on Slack is really competent, kind and helpful! I am really appreciative of all of the hard work behind building/maintaining this project and of the great working opportunities many of us are going to get from the newly-acquired knowledge.

Amazing course so far! I tried other coding bootcamps and they were either too expensive or too hard and tedious to learn. Matt explains in a way that you learn without glassy eyes closing 2 minutes in. I'm looking forward to completing the whole course and excited for the future - many more projects to complete!

I love the classes! They are cut into small segments to make it easier to complete with a busy schedule. The challenges, homework, and the final project help you put everything you learned together. The final project really pushed my limits and I found myself having some much fun exploring new ways to code. I especially loved the bonus challenges as it really made me think for a creative way to code my project. There's not one way to do a certain thing and that's really awesome! I really appreciate the videos from the instructor as well, it helped in case I missed something or there was a more constrcutive way to code my idea.
I was very curious about this course - I always wanted to make a portfolio by myself from scratch and am proud that finally I was able to do that. This project is not ended for me yet - will continue to update it and will try to use all the upcoming knowledge to make it even better.
I really enjoyed the vanilla weather app project - my submission is in no way perfect (and needs a lot of refactoring) but the assignment took me far out of my comfort zone, and encouraged me to really start 'using' my coding skills, rather than simply 'practicing' them.
I have learned so many interesting and useful things during SheCodes Plus workshop. Everything was clear because Matt explains every piece of code into details. I also appreciate that he does not share too much information, so I am never overwhelmed. Sometimes it was so good to hear from him something like "You do not need to understand this right now." Without all the practical tips it would be so difficult to keep learning and to build the whole project. Thank you Matt and the SheCodes team - for your support, patience and inspiration.
The SheCodes Plus workshop was challenging, but fun. I learned a lot in the past few weeks leading up to my completion of the final project. SheCodes React was my third workshop and while it was definitely challenging at times I would 100% recommend it. I learned heaps about how to use React and how components work and how to bring it all together. Since I have a background in linguistics and teaching I particularly liked creating the Dictionary App, which is also why I chose that for my final project. Can't wait to get started with Responsive later this year.
I have finally completed the React course of SheCodes. It's a lot of hard work, but it's also very fun (personally I enjoyed the React course WAY more than the SheCodes Plus course)! I was motivated with seeing my progress in real-time, and as always Matt's instruction is remarkable and easy to understand and follow. The rest of the SheCodes team is very helpful in answering questions as well. I love the fact that we can review course materials and videos as many times as we want, and that we have lifetime access to our completed course workshops! I'm definitely going to review and refer back to what I learned in my React course throughout my ongoing coding journey. I have learned so, so much. With SheCodes, I was able to learn to code from literally no experience at all, all the way to being comfortable with JavaScript React. I encourage any and all women interested in learning how to code to learn with SheCodes. I look forward to everything SheCodes has to offer in the future, and in the meantime I will get to work on my own projects independently now. Thank you so much for everything!

The experience with SheCodes was great! At first, I was a bit irritated to have a male instructor when the service is called "SheCodes" - fortunately, there are female tutors in the back who are happy to help on Slack. ;) What I appreciate the most is the possibility to have a final project that is published with SheCodes and so have the ability to actually show my skills to people. I did the basic course, which I would recommend to anyone with no knowledge.
Definitely a step up from basics but the weather app was an interesting and fun project to build. The lessons, although sometimes challenging, were done at a good pace. I am excited to continue with SheCodes PLUS and learn more about React.
The real life projects tested my practical skills to the limits. This is such a great program to go through each step on understanding React and API's. This part of the SheCodes workshop really took my knowledge and skills to a whole another level.
SheCodes was a nice intro to some of the basics. The homework/final project was a fun way to put what you learned into practice and the deadlines kept me from procrastinating... All in all, I had lots of fun!
When I first joined Shecodes, I did not know any programming languages. I only knew how to basic coding for engineering on Matlab. After taking the three-week workshop, I got to know how to code something. I would definitely recommend this for those who want to try programming out. It very easy to understand, and the best thing is that you get to project at the end of each lesson. It would make you feel like a programmer when you do those projects. You get to put everything you have learned in that week into the project.
