It was so easy to learn with SheCodes that I really want to learn more and more. I knew a whole new world and I am looking forward to learning how to apply all the tools in the real world. I had to hold myself in my final project because when I realized I was doing more than one page and trying to learn new functions. Thank you so much, Matt.

My SheCodes adventure has been a fun & delightful one. Like all good things, It has now come to an end, but i will hopefully keep in touch with the team & fellow students through Slack. I thoroughly enjoyed discovering & gaining some basic skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript & React. It will help me continue to learn on my own, but i'm not ready to apply for a development job yet. I have learnt so much completing this weather app project with SheCodes! There were definitely some challenges but help was at hand on Slack when I got stuck! Great basic course, I liked the fact that each subject was split into several sections and you could easily go back and revise something if needed. Cool final project too. Can't wait for the next course!

I really enjoyed the SheCodes workshops! I enrolled to refresh my web development knowledge, as I haven't touched it in 5 years, and wound up getting a proper grasp on some things that I'd used previously used but hadn't really understood. The videos explain things quite well, the bite-sized exercises and homework really help reinforce the learnings, and completing the final project really brings a sense of achievement.

I really enjoyed the course. Each module was easy to follow and I felt a great sense of achievement after completing each challenge and the final project.

As a beginner, am so glad I chose SheCodes. The beautifully laid out and well-organized modules as well as the challenging home works helped me learn and enjoy the basics of coding . I honestly never thought I would be able to learn JS, let alone finish a web app by myself! Especially after taking so many online tutorials/courses and ending up frustrated. After finishing the Intro to Coding I Workshop I just had to keep going and the Front End Development was the obvious next step. Building my own project with SheCodes Plus was very challenging but also fun and I learned a lot!

The Plus course was well structured. The level was high, nevertheless really fun to learn new topic each week. The weekly homework allow you to apply what was learned directly on your own project which was really helpful. Overall you get a good insight into what coding/front-end development is all about. Thank you for this fun experience and I would love to continue coding.

The workshop was very well structured. Each lesson was challenging but also very engaging and easy to follow. As someone who has never coded before, it was really rewarding to see my final project showcase what I've learned in a short amount of time! ☺️

Good for beginners, I loved the extra tools this course shared with us (like Color Hunt, Design Palette, Codepen etc) it helped in building the final project. Over all great structure and easy to follow.

I’m not new to coding. Had some experience in Java and the Spring framework. Took this course to learn more about the front-end side. This course is very helpful. It teaches me all the front-end basics (HTML, CSS, javascript) in a detailed way. I enjoyed the challenge problems that come after the lesson and the weekly project. These are the parts that kept me interested. The instructor is engaging and makes the course easy to understand. He gave practical advice on using various coding tools. I learned a lot in this course and have built an awesome weather app in the final project.

Pretty impressed with the skills learned with the help of Matt and SheCodes. The lessons are fun and very well structured, the challenges are a great way to apply what you've just learned during the video lessons and the final project is so gratifying, since you get to build something from scratch and make it work. SheCodes course is really well-structured and has a very pragmatic approach. In few weeks you get the basis of HTML, CSS and Java and can start building your webpage with professional tools. The videos are short and simple, and straight after each video you have a challenge or an issue to solve and at the end of it you can learn and play with a project you build from scratch. For the whole duration of the course you join the community on Slack, where you can get advice from peers or tech experts. The course developed by Matt definitely went beyond by expectations!

I am so happy that I accidentally found the SheCodes Workshop and I am even more happy that I have decided to do it! I did not know anything about coding, I was a total beginner thinking that I don't have anything to lose even if I wouldn't like it. It turned out that I liked it a lot and I enjoyed all the lessons, homework and the final project! Now that I have learnt the basics, I am ready to dive in even deeper and continue moving forward with SheCodes! I would totally recommend it to anyone and I can truly confirm that coding is a lot of fun and creativity.

When I started the coding journey I just wanted to see if it was just a little of curiosity or if it was something else. In the end I really found a passion! I loved that the program is mostly learn as you go, and you can count on people here to find some help when you are stuck. There was so many things that amazed me and really show me that coding is so powerful (like Mac said so many times in this course... and he was totally correct). This was such a fun, interactive way to learn something new this year. My husband is a data scientist and he has the mindset that everyone should know a little coding so I decided to do all of the SheCodes workshops to introduce myself. The project, while a little challenging at times was so fun to create and now I have something I can show friends/family to show my progress. Having the homework keeps me accountable and Joao answered more than a couple of my problems I was having through slack. I would definitely recommend!

Little did I know about the wonderful journey I was getting started with and how mistaken I was about coding! The satisfaction that comes from completing every challenge and making your project is indescribable. With the help of Matt and his team, I learned that I won´t feel lost along the way if I just ask for some help and persevere until I find a possible solution because there is always one. SheCodes Plus is an amazing workshop! I must admit that I scratched my head a lot of times when finishing my project. I am sad to leave this workshop as it had been super fun, but I am proud to say that I am finishing it off with a good amount of knowledge on coding. I received a lot of help from the staff and I couldn't be any more satisfied with this workshop.

As an IT recruiter for almost 5 years now, I always enjoyed listening to developers talking about their projects, the technologies they use, and what kind of challenges they face. I also always wanted to know how is it in their shoes, so I decided to enroll in an online programming course. SheCodes workshop gave me exactly what I wanted and expected: basic knowledge of front-end development, coding experience, and very interesting challenges. Now, I can share my experience with other developers, I can be perceived differently by them and if nothing else, I can understand some memes and IT jokes I couldn't understand before. :)

The first SheCodes workshop was nice, but with SheCodes Plus the real fun only begins! Working on your own project throughout the workshop motivates you immensely, even with the more tricky topics. During the process, my project got a bit messy. I was really greatful that there was a repeat week at the end of the workshop where Matt showed the whole workflow again from start to finish. This way you can rebuild your project cleanly if necessary. And you can be sure that you are not alone but always get help! In short, it was challenging and fun at the same time and I can't wait to get going with React :)

SheCodes was a brilliant way to get started in coding. Each tutorial breaks down web design step by step so that anyone can easily understand. Projects are engaging and the creative possibilities are very special.

This is a great course for anyone wanting to boost some extra skills and looking to get into coding! Plus took what I had learned in the Introduction to Coding workshop and continued to build on developing knowledge while adding new stuff along the way, leading to a final project I am really proud of! An excellent introduction to basic coding concepts with small challenge tasks that give you enough information to get started and see how different languages work together without overwhelming with technical jargon. Homework projects consolidate the work done in the week and encourage you to research solutions and build your knowledge. This is genuinely a great course for beginners to start building understanding, skills, and confidence.

I love this coding workshop! The videos and lessons are clear and easy to understand. I really like how it is setup. We learn a little bit, then practice, then apply everything learned that week in a larger homework. Then at the end of the course we applied everything we learned into a project. I liked that we got to decide what we wanted to do for the project.

Doing the 3-week course has given me so much empathy and understanding of what the developers I work with do on a daily basis. It was also super fun to see how creative coding can be and I look forward to thinking up my next project!

I had so much fun learning to code! I was able to complete this course at my own pace and create a beautiful final project, all while achieving my real estate license, an associates degree and working! If you're even remotely interested in programming and development, I highly recommend you give this course a shot--you'll be surprised by how much you'll learn in such a short period of time!

It was a great project to work on for someone new to coding. Learning more Javascript and trying out some Bootstrap styling for CSS were two of my favorite aspects. I do think it is very tricky to figure out how to set up Git on a Chromebook and it would be great if future versions of this class make it clearer for those using cloud-based systems.

I'd learned the fundamentals of HTML & CSS previously, but was beginning to find it difficult to start putting it to proper practice. The workshop was a great refresher and helped me consolidate what I'd already learned, with the added bonus of breaking into JavaScript as well! The homework was fun, and I especially enjoyed the final project - I'm really excited & definitely more confident to proceed now. Thanks, Matt & the rest of the SheCodes team!

I enjoyed all SheCodes courses I have taken so far - the explanations are clear, Matt provides various resources, João is beyond helpful in the Slack chat - and the best thing, the course is not just theory, but mostly practice. And in SheCodes Plus you have to work hard on your final project - and you learn a lot! I'm excited to continue my coding journey with the SheCodes React course.

I would highly recommend the SheCodes React Workshop! It is a challenging step up from vanilla JavaScript to begin with, but Matt does a great job at walking through all the key elements of the framework. I am really pleased with how my final project turned out, and now I have another project to add to my developer portfolio, as well as a new framework in my toolkit. A few months ago I couldn't even write a single line of HTML, and now I can make fully functional applications!

With this workshop you learn how to code in HTML, CSS & JavaScript and you also learn to think as a programmer. I fully enjoyed this workshop. It was challenging and exciting to work on weather app project and I’m more than ever motivated to keep going with programming. I've learnt not only about the interaction between CSS, HTML , JS more in depth, but also I have got to know the tricks and tools that professional in the area use to find resources for their projects. Additionally, I think that hands on software versioning, GIT, GITHub are extremely relevant on the learning of software development.

I have learned so much in this class and I am really proud of completing this project. I have always been intimidated by coding and avoided it but more and more its becoming a requirement in my job. I'm so glad I took this leap and tried SheCodes!

SheCodes Plus has been instrumental in my coding development. The pragmatic structure of the tutorials and tasks has meant my learning has always been practical, and not focused purely on theory. The course has encouraged a lot of independence and sharpened my research skills as everything is not handed to me on the plate, meaning when faced with a problem with my code, I have to search for answers just as a developer would. Now I have a good grasp of Vanilla Java Script I am looking forward to utilising this using the React framework in order to build more cool and exciting projects.

SheCodes Plus provided a rigorous and immersive 6-week advanced coding workshop that finely crafted and sharped skills learned in the previous 4-week course. It was a very difficult and challenging time, but the SheCodes Plus Workshop course pushed me more than ever before to keep going and to not give up in my coding journey. In several weeks I was able to learn so much more about vanilla JavaScript with the supportive team at SheCodes than I could ever have done learning just by myself. Even though my final weather app project is quite basic, I tried my hardest and best with what I could manage now, and again I'm so very glad and thankful I didn't give up. I especially love the fact that we will always have access to course materials, videos, and the Slack group even after graduating the workshop, so I am going to look over the course again and again to solidify my knowledge. I look forward to improving my skills greatly in the next workshop (SheCodes Plus React)!

I thoroughly enjoyed SheCodes and highly recommend! It has the right balance of teaching and projects/homework to help challenge you and you can do it in your own time (providing you meet the deadlines). Having recently graduated from a Bachelors in Events Management - I have found this course very interesting and relevant and I am very happy I have done it.

SheCodes Plus was a bit harder than expected but the challenge was great. It took me out of my comfort zone and taught me to problem solve in a way I had never before. Since very long I wanted to jump into the coding field but couldn't find a platform worth every second as SheCodes. I didn't know anything about coding before I started this workshop. Everything was explained step by step and after completing some challenges and my final project I feel so relieved and accomplished.

My introduction to SheCodes was through the 1-hour free coding workshop. I enjoyed Matt's informal style of teaching and camaraderie and decided to sign up for the beginner programme. I am happy to say that his style of teaching carried on through the weeks. He breaks down the concepts into simpler details that are easy to understand. I really enjoyed the fact that for the weekly homework, I could go further than what was required as long as I used the concepts I learned during that week. The final project also created an opportunity for me to create a page for something I have been wanting to. SheCodes radio was also an additional interesting feature. I have enjoyed it and will definitely be pursuing coding further.

SheCodes Plus was an advanced course of coding, it took me quite a time to finish the weekly projects, however for me this is a good sign for an online course. It means that it was challenging and that it really made me learn a lot through these weeks. I cannot wait for the react course to begin!

Three weeks ago I knew nothing about coding, and now I've created my own landing page. 😎 The SheCodes lessons were clear and easy to follow. Homework and weekly challenges were scaffolded and helpful, and I appreciated receiving fast and reliable support-- not to mention connecting with women all over the world via slack! A great course

After completing my introduction to coding, I decided to embark on this amazing course to keep on learning and challenging myself. I already recommended this workshop to one of my colleagues and would definitely recommend it to anyone who does not know anything about coding. The pre-recorded lessons extremely convenient since you can work on each project|| homework on your own time and pace. "She codes" has made me fall in love with coding.

This is my second workshop with SheCodes and I've absolutely loved it! It was challenging, really well taught with loads of excellent support and I've learned so much. I feel confident in my skills and can't wait to work on lots of new, exciting coding projects!

I joined SheCodes because I wanted to gain a new skill during the pandemic. After submitting my final project, I felt I actually know how to code. It is fun to continue coding with API, GitHub and Bootstrap. The project of building the weather app is also interesting. Although I invested in learning a new skill, my productivity level this past few weeks has been a big challenge. Looking back to when I started on this coding journey and comparing that to the very moment when I finished my Weather app project in vanilla JS, it really is amazing how much i have learnt, evolved and how much confidence I have gained that I can now take a project into my hands and make it happen, from scratch! I can't wait to get my hands on the next challenge :)

This class definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone, but I feel so proud of myself and accomplished after submitting my final project! At the beginning of this year, if someone had told me I would complete THREE coding workshops in 2020 I would have died laughing, but today I am beyond impressed with myself for trying something completely new and getting through it. A challenging course that would be worth taking for any woman actively seeking a career in development. Definitely more of a challenge and time commitment than the SheCodes workshop; the road was long but I am glad I was able to deliver a project I was happy with.
