At the same time this means that I have to say goodbye to SheCodes. And to an amazing journey: So many learnings, so many riddles, so much fun. I took a BIG FAT chance, by seeing an AD somewhere and jumped right into Shecodes because I loved what Shecodes stood for. I'm someone with limited experience and brand new to the field. Just to finally complete the final project and understand the language of coding has been SUPER rewarding for me. The structure of the class didn't always make sense in the beginning, but TRUST the process and the guidance. By the way, Matt's voice is sooooo soothing and easy to follow that I was constantly re-playing his videos without losing focus.
SheCodes Plus was just what I was looking for in a coding workshop. It's a great entry into learning vanilla javascript and how to host your own website! The weather project that I worked on over the course of the program really helped cement all of the new techniques I was learning each week. I look forward to learning even more in SheCodes React :)

I had been planning to start a programming course, but they all seemed so strict and hard that I gave up (for some time). After seeing the SheCodes project, I was very surprised and curious to know how that would work. When I sent the final project, I was sad that the course was at its end. I want to learn mOre!
I had no previous knowledge of code at all but it's always been something I would love to learn so I was nervous going in but SheCodes is absolutely incredible! Matt explains everything so clearly step by step while allowing you to be creative when completing your own projects. So happy I found SheCodes I can't wait to learn more!
SheCodes is absolutely perfect as a beginner's class for someone like me, who had no knowledge of coding at all - the lessons were clear, incremental as to avoid confusion, with great practice homework leading to a final project. I had hoped that web development could be a good future for me, and this program has shown that I really enjoy doing it too!
This is my third SheCodes course and I really thoroughly enjoyed it just like I enjoyed all the other ones. I highly recommend SheCodes to anyone who is interested in learning coding because the price is fair compared to other bootcamps and it's easy to follow along at your own pace. I have an interest now in strengthening what I've learned in order to get better at coding, but I love that I have a solid foundation and an impressive project under my belt for potential job prospects.
I have spent years in Marketing but having worked with developers, I always had an urge to learn the basics and be able to code! This course was easy to digest as well as always having someone there for guidance if needed through Slack. I loved the community aspect and being able to see others on their journey too. I really enjoyed the weekly projects and look forward to continuing to code!
I have completed a few courses recently and I believe SheCodes has the best set up I've seen. The online community on Slack is friendly, helpful, inclusive and you can find all the help you need if you get stuck on the tasks. SheCodes has found the perfect balance between providing support and giving the users flexibility to complete the course in their own time. Matt's videos are clear and easy to follow! I'm really enjoying the course and I am signing up for the React Plus as I want to keep learning. I also really love seeing everyones final projects!
The quality of education, the network you make, and the team members of SheCodes are praiseworthy. After completing my SheCodes Plus workshop, I feel confident and motivated in my journey of becoming a developer. The challenges and projects were not easy at all but I learned so much through real-life projects and I am so happy with what I have achieved until today. This program is amazing. It gave me the skills needed to land my first internship at a new start up. They were impressed by my project and knowledge of JavaScript so much that we are already looking to build in React. So far I'm the only women on the team and we hope to add more soon.
SheCodes is a great platform in learning how to code. The lessons were easy to follow while the challenges helped you to break down the steps to practice and fully understand the concepts. The projects reflected the concepts taught in the lessons but also gave you the freedom to be creative and make it your own. SheCodes is so much more than a learning platform. The Career Handbook is helping me to decide the next steps to take after graduating the bootcamp and continuing my coding journey. They also have SheCodes Radio that plays different music depending on your mood to code to. The SheCodes team has been so helpful and supportive as well. Best of all, I will still have access to the lessons and amenities to enjoy and refer back to. THANK YOU SheCodes! 🙏
SheCodes was a great way to actually learn something useful during the COVID-19 pandemic. It wasn't overwhelming, and all the small projects really helped me understand new concepts. I never realized how fun coding could be!
80% of the people I have met since I live in Berlin are dedicated to web development. One day I was so intrigued by this that I started looking for information and thus I found out about SheCodes. I highly recommend this course, either if it's to add a new skill to your CV or to get creative with your own projects. The workshop it's easy to follow and the Slack community is wonderful!
This course is not only enjoyable and easy to follow, but it's one you'll actually complete! I found myself motivated by what I was learning, so I wanted to get to the next lesson and finish my projects. I definitely recommend it if you're looking to learn the basics of code!
The "classes" were broken down in to small, digestible segments. That worked well for me. It was completely hands-on, which is the perfect way to learn this type of material. Matt's enthusiasm was contagious. I did end up having fun writing code. At first I didn't like being assigned a task that wasn't covered. But that was an important part of the experience. For the final project, I was comfortable searching for answers to my questions on-line. Thank's SheCodes. It was great!
Coding always looked intimidating, but after taking this workshop I realized that HTML, JAVA, and CSS are languages that can be learned! I am glad I have spent significant time on my final project, and I am thankful for all the support I have received during the workshop by my fellow coders!
This course has been very challenging for me and I definitely felt overwhelmed at times, but building my final project helped give me perspective on how much I have learned in such a short time. I can't wait to continue to learn with the React course!
I'd long been curious about exploring the world of coding but didn't know where to start or if I was even capable of learning how to code. Two weeks ago, I noticed an ad for one of the Express Classes and registered on a whim, taking it as a sign that my time to start coding was here and now. After that, I immediately enrolled in the Introductory Workshop, and I'm so glad I did. SheCodes has nailed it with a formula of easy-to-follow instructional videos, challenges, and solutions, making coding accessible and fun. Each lesson kept me engaged and excited to proceed. I realized how much I looked forward to coming home from work and continuing my lessons. I truly enjoyed building my final project and applying all of the concepts to create my very first landing page using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I think it's safe to say that I've discovered a new passion for coding and look forward to learning more when I enroll in SheCodes Plus React!
I really loved this workshop. If you've been thinking about coding and have maybe been scared to because it "seems too difficult" or "looks boring", I can tell that's not the case at all. SheCodes makes it so easy to learn a lot of information VERY quickly and it's also very fun to work on your own homework and project. I also loved exchanging with the online community via Slack. It was so fun to see what everyone else was doing, help them with their challenges, and to get help when you're stuck as well.
I've always been involved in crafty projects - and for the longest time I was convinced that coding is for sure not something where I could explore my artistic side. Furthermore, coding always seemed a bit intimidating and impossible to start. But SheCodes workshop proved me wrong - and I am so happy it did! Those three weeks showed me how coding is super artistic, very logical and not scary at all.
The WHOLE program was absolutely fantastic ! It's very well structured and with Matt's very fast speaking speed indeed, you somehow push yourself as well and just get it done 😂😉🙌 Also, my very demanding full time job had me postpone the final project deadline twice and the staff was very understanding and patient, kindly explaining the rules (how it's allowed only once) but also encouraging me on the way. I feel so accomplished now and most importantly, I had FUN. Looking forward to the next program sometime early next year.

Before beginning SheCodes, I was intimidated by the nature of coding and just assumed it was something that was beyond my abilities. Now that I have begun to play around with coding and styling, I am excited to apply these new tools towards future projects. I enrolled in the SheCodes workshop to challenge myself with a new skill. I found the course content, instructions and homework really easy to follow and the team is very supportive and accessible if you have any problems or questions. The homework and final project was challenging but fun to complete.
I loved this beginners course and will definitely be signing up to the more advanced course! I'm a visual learner so I loved the video tutorials and the documentation for each class was helpful too. Finishing the final project was very satisfying! I know there is a lot more to coding and I can't wait to get started :)
It was difficult towards the end but I stayed with it and finished. I am proud of creating my first app. I look forward to doing more projects in the future.
I had some periods of frustration, more than I had expected with this project. This program is not for beginners. I should have invested more time reviewing tutorials online for JavaScript and CSS. There are free ones on the MDN website that aren't instructor led like Matt's program. I would not recommend them to learn from start to finish, but they are a way to test what you know and find solutions to what you don't know. My recommendation to anyone taking the SheCodes Plus program is to make sure you are comfortable with Javascript before moving into this more advanced workshop. I am looking forward to SheCodes Plus React, which I have already paid for but I need to work on my JavaScript skills a little further before venturing into the more advanced workshop. Although I am taking a little break, for now, I will still be studying and working on JavaScript so that in the next month or two I will be ready to take on the challenge of SheCodes Plus React.
This course was a lot of fun. I had to do a little critical thinking to complete some of the assignments but I think that's the point. Also, I really appreciated the level of creativity allowed in the final project.
This course is amazing! I thought coding is just a skill that is good to know but after completing the course. I am now truly interested in coding and enjoyed creating the projects and the exercises during the course. Thanks to Matt and the team for making coding into something easy to understand and interesting to learn!
The SheCodes Plus course has no doubt been challenging, however building on the skills I learned in the SheCodes Workshop to make a functioning weather site is an incredible feeling. The team on Slack are very helpful, and SheCodes have been very accomodating to me as I started a job half way through the programme! Would recommend this course to anyone who wishes to stretch their brain, whilst being able to build a project from scratch.
What a fun workshop! I have always enjoyed design and creating fun interactions for users, but never really understood how it all came together. Nor would I have ever thought I would become a "coder." This workshop not only taught me the basics of coding but elevated my creativity and web design skills. Being able to navigate code and develop fun projects, confidently has opened a new avenue for me. I am excited to dive more into this field, remove the quotes around "coder," and become an empowered CODER! I am so happy to have stumbled upon SheCodes! A 10/10 program! Matt Delac's SheCodes program has been an amazing tool to help me learn the basics of CSS & JS, along with a refresher of basic HTML. His step by step instructions are easy to follow, and the challenges alongside each self-paced lesson & the weekly homework are incredibly helpful in reinforcing what you learned each week. I definitely felt a sense of accomplishment and joy after my final project! I highly recommend this beginner course series for anyone who is curious about the world of coding.

Never in a million years did I think that I would enjoy coding so much! Matt and the team made everything so easy to understand and help was always on hand over on Slack if ever I got into a jam. I started coding workshop with Shecode, when I already knew some parts of html and css as a beginner. I wanted to enhance my skill and because I found that coding is my thing. I knew I was a driven person who was always interested in learning how to code, but had trouble staying motivated learning on my own with the various overwhelming amount of resources out there. SheCodes provides a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment with the right amount of guidance. I can learn at my own pace but still have the accountability of challenges, homework, and a project with reasonable deadlines - I am now more motivated than ever to continue my coding journey.

I loved the workshop! It's so practical, full of material and different examples. Also, you make a little project at the end of the course, and it helps you to understand how everything works altogether. That's one of the most interesting points of it.
Learning to code at SheCodes was so very exciting. Understanding the basics of CSS, HTML and Javascript and then actually making use of them during the final project has been such a motivating and fun experience. I began as a novice with the intro to coding class and quickly fell in love with coding through Matt's easy-to-follow videos and Joao's helpful support on challenges and homework. Really loved this workshop! Matt's videos were simple and concise and very informative without giving that feeling of being overwhelmed. The workshop itself was a reasonable price. There were certain "challenges" that were definitely challenges and google becomes your friend, personally I would do a quick google search and MDN offers a solution but rarely a well explain explanation, here comes SLACK. It was a great place for all of us to bounce our ideas off one another and ask for help for challenges, homework, and the project. Very helpful! There's a sense of pride whenever you complete a challenge or homework and I love that. Coding is also very impressive to those who aren't at all into the world of coding, so to show someone your entire code they're completely floored by it all haha! Would recommend this course to anyone interested in coding.
SheCodes was fantastic! It was the perfect balance of learning and practicing with the projects. I was able to balance the workshop with my full-time job and family without any stress!
This 3-week beginners course has taught me so much, I highly recommend it! Matt is a great teacher and the 24/7 support within the community was very nice to have. SheCodes is a school with good pedagogy, the courses are well structured and explained. There is a lot of practice such as homework and projects. There are good communication and atmosphere between teachers and classmates. I recommend this coding school if you want to learn well how to code or if you want to deepen your knowledge.
This SheCodes Beginner workshop was great!!! I liked that it was self-paced so I learned at my own pace/time but that motivated me to stay on top of the lessons weekly. The challenges at the end of the lessons were a good way to put into practice what Matt taught. Overall, I think this workshop is a great place to start and it's definitely peaked my interest in coding. I'm really happy & proud of the page I put together for my final project.
I have greatly enjoyed this course and am already eager to learn more! I appreciated all the hands on assignments and homework which allowed me to put what I was learning in action. My background is in Psychology, project management and psychometric tests and I've always been interested in technology, especially with everything going digital in our current climate. I thought I'd give SheCodes a go, as I've tried other free courses on other sites but it wasn't as interactive and I couldn't get help when I needed. With SheCodes, everything is at your own pace as the videos are bite-sized and you can go back if you need to. However, the homework keeps you accountable. I enjoyed doing the challenges as I prefer learning by doing. The staff and fellow students are really friendly and helpful if you are stuck. Coding might seem scary at first, but it really isn't! If you've been thinking about learning to code, go for this course, it's a great way to learn and build your skillset!

I really enjoy the format of this class. It was challenging insofar as it motivated me to tackle some things I didn't think I had the skills for yet. The sense of accomplishment that I felt when my final project was running properly was so satisfying.
I'm loving SheCodes! I feel like I'm learning loads and at just the right pace for me. Finished my final project for the three week course in just two days because I was so excited to work on it. I've got a great grasp on HTML and CSS now, and have just begun my journey with JavaScript!
Learning to code with SheCodes was exactly what I was looking for. All material was presented in a clear and organized way. The SheCodes team was very good at answering all the questions I had during the course. Again, this was a very smooth experience. A few weeks before the end of my final React project I started coding for a web design company based in Brooklyn, NY. Very happy to see some return on my investments!
I found this course to be exceptionally clear and easy to follow. I think the spec is a little misleading. It says 3 weeks of course content when in reality it's 2 weeks plus a personal project. You don't learn anything in the 3rd week but it's a great opportunity to practice your skills. I wouldn't pay £79 for the amount of content provided. Also, the assistants on slack are very slow at coming back to you. The average amount of time I waited was 12 hours. I would suggest a live chat option on your website for those who need a quicker response.
I enjoyed these first 3 weeks as I got an introduction to 3 languages (HTML, Java, and CSS) which will help me understand and communicate with developers in a new project I am leading. The information is presented clearly. The instructors are ready to help and it made me want to learn more about coding.
When researching SheCodes and what technologies they covered in their workshops, React quickly piqued my interest. Seeing the real-world applications made it an easy decision to enroll. Matt and the SheCodes team provided a great, easy to follow step-by-step lesson plan and were always available and helpful, as well as a fun project as a way to learn these skills. I would definitely recommend enrolling in SheCodes React as a continuation of SheCodes Plus.

After surviving two brain aneurysms and two brain surgeries, my goal was to learn new things and make the most of life. I challenged myself to learn web development. I tried several learning methods but could never fully grasp the material. SheCodes provided the tools and projects that helped me better understand the material! I recommend this course to all women and especially encourage black women to learn with SheCodes!!!
SheCodes Plus makes it very easy and interesting to learn JavaScript. I really liked the format with several short videos, each directed to a specific topic. This makes it much easier to keep focus, instead of being bored in a long and dull lecture or being "bombarded" with several subjects at once. After finishing the project, I feel prepared to take on new challenges and start a career in tech, thank you SheCodes!

It was a really exciting experience with a lot of challenges. Matt is explaining everything step by step and the lessons are recorded . I was able to go back and watch them multiple times until I make my project work. But it is a such good feeling when the app is working!
Great beginning course, love how many projects we do!
First of all - what an adventure going from JS to now learning React! It was a great learning path, and I loved the video's in 'SheCodes React Final Project' - it truly brings everything together. One thing I would love to see though is a tutorial video of how to apply the 'my current location button' - like we did in Shecodes plus. However,I highly recommend everyone doing SheCodes React, it's great final course to the bootcamp. Excited to continue my learning path in coding and use new skills and knowledge.
I have tried learning coding by myself and I found it frustrating, SheCodes provides a great learning community that keeps me motivated. The instructions are very clear and understandable, it breaks down every project into small tasks so it feels less intimidating for beginners.
I am a finance student but for all these years, I was trying to figure out what I really like and enjoy doing. I started looking up things online that how I find about coding, I try many training online and then I find "She-codes" I found Shecodes very helpful, the training was good I get to learn from someone who have a great experience, every week I have a project, challenge or homework to work on. The challenge give me the opportunity to practice and learn things and put in my skills at work and learn at my own . At the end of the program, I was given a final project, where I have express my skills and create a website , it was a great opportunity to put in what I have learn.
Coding is always intimidating, especially to someone who has no background in it. I like that Matt's videos are bite-size, which makes is easy to learn, follow & absorb the material. The challenges & the project help to solidify the materials that was taught.
I couldn't believe I just completed my SheCodes Plus course! Learning how to build my first weather app was one of my greatest accomplishments during the COVID-19 pandemic and I can say that this is a project that I am proud of. BIG thanks to Matt and his amazing SheCodes team, especially João Lopes, for guiding me through this journey for the past two months and helping me develop a better understanding of best coding practices and how to properly use HTML, CSS, Javascript, Bootstrap, and API! Thank you SheCodes!
By the end of the course, I felt confident in the skills I had learned. I found it very easy to have fun and to be creative, especially with the final project. Each week builds and leads perfectly into the next. So now I'm asking myself, what's next?
It's been a great 3 weeks! I am surprised by how much I had learnt by the time it came to our last project, how much I had memorised and all the resources I had gathered to look back on for help. I am really pleased by the result!
