I always found the idea of JavaScript hard and never wanted to begin learning because of that. My first project was really fun though!
I really like this project and recommend it to all beginners out there. The feedback and support is amazing. You can find here a lot of useful tools and information, that are really specific and unique.
This project did take me longer than I planned. But I'm glad to say that I learned new skills from it!

I recently completed a 3-week basic course and I have to say, it was one of the most enjoyable learning experiences I've had in a long time. The course was expertly designed to take students through the basics of coding and gradually build up to more advanced topics. Matt is a great instructor who has designed this course in way that exercises and projects were engaging and challenging, but never overwhelming. I felt like I was making real progress every day. Overall, I would highly recommend this coding course to anyone interested in learning to code or looking to enhance their coding skills. It was an incredibly rewarding experience and I'm grateful for the opportunity to have participated in it.

Great course, again! This course taught me to work in a structured way. Setting up a project is now becoming a routine and before I start coding, I always think about what I want the code to do (writing it down helps!). I really liked using Moment.js :-)

I am really enjoing all that I am learning with the coding workshops and the fact that the projects at the end are feeling enjoyable. There are moments of sheer frustration where my code will not run and I know that there is always support if I need it but the feeling of pure joy and elation when I have managed to find the error, mistake or typo in my code is a type of exhilaration I'm not sure I have never experienced before. It is immensly satifying.
I enjoyed learning with SheCodes! The content is easy-to-follow, and the teaching method is fun. Adding to that, the challenges and projects enhance programming skills in a practical manner.
So far, I feel like this course is paced perfectly for those of us who have to work full-time while in these courses. The best part is, the projects are fun too!

Working in this add-on project I've learned so much about CSS. I had so much fun learning new ways to give life to a static HTML file. Every challenge and final project motivates me to keep going and keep learning!

I wish this add-on workshop had been available when I first started SheCodes last year. However, being able to complete it now (after finishing all the main workshops), I was able to implement responsive features and understand the JS aspect better than I would have as a total beginner. Overall, it was a fun project, and I highly recommend this one.

Initially going in to this project I thought I had a good understanding of coding through past experiences of self-teachings. However, after taking this course I have been able to gain a greater comprehension of past teachings than perviously, whilst understanding why certain value inputs are actioned. I have learnt more tips, tricks, gained more confidence in coding in my spare time, and now have successfully gained 3 completed projects.
SheCodes Responsive was fascinating. I enjoyed designing and making a responsive portfolio website from scratch. The SEO tips were useful and interesting. I'm looking forward to working on new projects with the experience I've gained by attending this workshop.
Matt takes the time to show you step by step how to build your project. He also takes the time to explain why things work the way they do. He corrects his own project from video to video when he finds a better solution or understands a mistake he did. It is a very human and interactive way to teach. The challenges can be very frustrating and test your patience but once you find a solution and your project work it is very exciting and gives a Christmas-like feelingπ₯³ ! Really enjoyed the whole workshop.

The SheCodes Plus Add-on has improved my understanding of everything I have learned thus far, especially with a new project to work on, I can confidently say that my skills are continuing to progress.
This was a pretty solid course for getting an overall view about making a website. On top of the comprehensive overview of the three coding languages involved, I also felt like I got a better sense of how the workflow might run for projects like our homework assignments or challenges. While I might still need references to a guide for some details, I've gained an enthusiasm to learning how to code for myself, which is something I don't think would have come easily for me otherwise. The course also made me have a greater appreciation for people who create visually-appealing websites, because having an ability to code doesn't automatically equate to having a good design sense needed for those pages.
So proud of my weather app. I had such a great time working on it and developing it step by step. Looking forward to my next projects!

SheCodes React Workshop has given me a lot of experience. In under six weeks, I learned a lot about React and then utilised it to build a weather app using JSX components, axios, and NPM packages. I discovered how to create functional components, and how React handles state management throughout the lifespan of a program. It encouraged me to continue my education and create a web development project. I'm eager to move forward with my journey.
I thoroughly enjoyed this project, it for sure gave me more confidence working with React.

For me, it was difficult to transfer the Html code from the previous project to React. The explanation was in the lesson after the task itself. Maybe this is the point of finding a way on other resources, but it was very difficult, because those methods did not suit me. I did it myself by trial and error. Of course, a huge plus is that you can turn to the team for help. I was going to apply in this case until I found an error. I have contacted many times on other occasions and the team is very polite, so don't be afraid to contact! A huge plus is the appearance of artificial intelligence, which helps to find errors. True, while there is a limit of 2,000 characters, and the code can be much larger π . In any case, I want to review the lessons again and consolidate my knowledge. Thanks for the opportunity to learn! π₯°

An extended add-on project that gives an extra practice on React.
This is the second project using React, following the Weather App. I found myself having a better understanding of using React, especially when deciding when to create a separate component, and how to refactor my codes in those components. On top of that, I feel more comfortable using .map() and conditional rendering, all of these techniques made my codes cleaner, shorter and easier to be read by myself and possibly by other developers. I look forward to learn more and deeper about React to create more sophisticated applications in the future!
Before SheCodes, I found coding extremely boring! But Matt and SheCodes team changed that forever. The way Matt teaches coding makes everything perfectly clear, understandable, and most importantly, fun! π When I started doing the final project of SheCodes Responsive, I was really surprised by how I've learnt everything so well that I don't even need to think that much when coding. Of course, challenges are always there and that's a part of being a front-end developer, but SheCodes teaching system has given me the confidence to actually know that any programming challenge is solvable. π©π»βπ» I can't wait to continue my coding journey with SheCodes, learn more and more about programming, and become a professional front-end developer. π
I just finished the SheCodes Plus weather app project and couldn't be happier with the results. I was hesitant to take on a project like this because I needed to gain more expertise in coding. But because of SheCodes Plus's crystal-clear and simple-to-follow lessons, I was able to finish the course with a working weather app in hand. This responsive course is an eye-opening course! It has leveraged my website-building technique and consolidated my knowledge in Frontend and bootstrap. I love the pace of each teaching video, suitable for any type of learner. Small progress each time could definitely motivate me to work on my project step by step and make the whole learning in responsive much easier!
This has been such a great course, I have learnt so much in the last couple of weeks. Going from no knowledge to completing a project. The lessons are easy to follow and very logical. There is alwasy help on hand if you get stuck and it's great to be able to see the probles that other people run into as well which helps you identify issues in your own code. Great community and it has been very rewarding completeing the project!

I appreciated how the workshop was structured to teach the basics of responsive design plus advanced tips, while also allowing for creative freedom and individualized project development. By the end of the workshop, I had gained a solid understanding of responsive HTML and CSS development and had created a functional and visually appealing website for my hometown: Bogota.
In a nutshell: hard to grasp at first but so much fun!! Building a weather app in React was definitely a steep learning curve, but I really enjoyed the process and I was happy with how my project turned out. It is such a useful tool and I'm looking forward to the React add-on so that I can practice some more.

I am so excited about this course! I enjoyed every lesson. I really liked the structure: first you learn all the different parts you need for the final project and then you start building the weather app again from scratch. As a result, you practice everything at least twice, which ensures you remember everything better.

In less than 3 weeks I managed to transition from a total beginner to being able to create a landing page from scratch. I found the course was well-paced and every unit was building directly on the previous one. The challenges reinforced the knowledge gained while the homework and project made it very practical and hands-on.

A year ago I started a project in which I realized I needed to understand better technology to make it possible. In the meanwhile, I searched a programmer guy who could work on it. However, as soon as we were thinking about the development, he did some tricks with the computer in a strange language for me that made my application worked properly. Such was my amazement that I knew I would like to do some of that magic too. Now I can say that this dream is coming true thanks to SheCodes and their workshops
