Before taking this course, I knew nothing from React JS. Through helpful lessons and challenges I could make my first-ever react app and I can't contain my happiness. There is still a lot more to react and I am excited to learn them one by one. I definitely and proudly recommend SheCodes workshops as my most favorite courses on front-end developing.
It was a nice and challenging journey. React wasn't very easy for me, but I'm happy I could manage to finish the project (and understand what I was doing in it, ha-ha). Matt was very clear in explaining everything. Will definitely continue to study coding.

I just finished working on my second React project after completing the Weather App. As I progress, I've noticed that my understanding of using React has improved significantly. I now have a better grasp on deciding when to create a separate component and how to effectively refactor my code within those components. It's been great to see my skills develop as I work on these projects.

Having to create not one but two different weather apps using two different languages has been so interesting. After a few mental breakdown and a lot of watching videos, lectures and readings, I finally finished SheCodes React workshop. I have learnt about React alot and it was super fun and interesting. I made a weather app which has light and dark mode. Although I left out the forecast for now, I will definitely add it later.

I am so excited to announce that I have built not one, but TWO weather applications! Through this workshop, I was stretched to the maximum. Learning new syntax was difficult, but I am glad that this React workshop has given me the confidence to understand and implement new concepts.
A very good exercise for coding with React!
By far, this workshop was my favorite one. I really enjoyed learning React and it made me realize how much faster coding can be using React because I have built two weather applications, one using only CSS, HTML, and JavaScript and the other one with React and although the latter seemed complicated at first but was much easier once you get the hang of it. Of course, thanks again to the SheCodes team and Matthieu for this amazing workshop.
Previously, I built my portfolio already, but this was an excellent opportunity to rebuild Portfolio with ReactJS. As Matt recommended keep it simple and clear, but make look more professional. SheCodes React Workshop has given me a lot of experience. In under six weeks, I learned a lot about React and then utilised it to build a weather app using JSX components, axios, and NPM packages. I discovered how to create functional components, and how React handles state management throughout the lifespan of a program. It encouraged me to continue my education and create a web development project. I'm eager to move forward with my journey.

For me, it was difficult to transfer the Html code from the previous project to React. The explanation was in the lesson after the task itself. Maybe this is the point of finding a way on other resources, but it was very difficult, because those methods did not suit me. I did it myself by trial and error. Of course, a huge plus is that you can turn to the team for help. I was going to apply in this case until I found an error. I have contacted many times on other occasions and the team is very polite, so don't be afraid to contact! A huge plus is the appearance of artificial intelligence, which helps to find errors. True, while there is a limit of 2,000 characters, and the code can be much larger π . In any case, I want to review the lessons again and consolidate my knowledge. Very VERY fun. Now that I was more comfortable with the material from SheCodes Plus, I was able to have lots and lots of fun with complex features and really try to unleash my creativity on this one. The JS has now become a real logical challenge, it's incredibly fun (I studied Physics so I really like solving problems that are logical and/or mathematical). I cannot wait to go on to the next workshop and find out how React works. πππππ
An extended add-on project that gives an extra practice on React.
This is the second project using React, following the Weather App. I found myself having a better understanding of using React, especially when deciding when to create a separate component, and how to refactor my codes in those components. On top of that, I feel more comfortable using .map() and conditional rendering, all of these techniques made my codes cleaner, shorter and easier to be read by myself and possibly by other developers. I look forward to learn more and deeper about React to create more sophisticated applications in the future!
Wow - you learn A LOT in this course. As always, Matt and she SheCodes team goes above and beyond. There's a lot of great challenges in this course, and it's nice to have the support from the SheCodes team. React was incredibly daunting when I first started coding, and looking back at where I started, it feels manageable and exciting now. No one is kidding about React, it IS hard work, BUT...Matt takes the time to show you step by step how to build it and explains why it works the way it does. He even shows you possible incorrect solutions and why they are not the best choice. It will test your patience but it feels so exciting when you figure the puzzle out! A very good way to start learning about react!!
This is the first time I was being introduced to Node.js and React.js. My goal was to rebuild the Vanilla Javascript Weather App to a React app. I needed to refactor my codes into different components, in a way that they would appear clearer, but still maintain the same, or even better performance. I was introduced to useState and useEffect, which are confusing at first, but so powerful. Overall, I understand why React.js is used by most developers thanks to its effectiveness, and this is a must-learn as a front-end developer.

SheCodes Responsive is the third workshop that I complete. I have enjoyed a lot this one in particular because it allows me to practise all the previous knowledge and understand better how it works. This is a really fun workshop and final project! The React concepts were explained well and the challenges and final project really help you to understand the potential of learning/using React. There is also the opportunity to incorporate all the skills learned on the previous workshops as well. At this stage, I had to turn my brain over, since the logic of React is different from javascript. But Matt explained everything in great detail and gradually brought everything up to date. React is a bit challenging at a first glance. But when you get deeper it becomes so easy to solve complicated tasks, which would be a liitle puzzled if you solve them with pure JS. This is my last SheCodes course, and probably the one I liked the most. I was a little puzzled during the study, but it was exciting to see the differences between React and pure JS, how simple changes make huge difference. I would definitely recommend React to anyone who enjoyed vanilla JS. My coding journey doesn't end with SheCodes, I'm happy it was a big part of my introduction into the coding world.
