I really enjoy learning React, it was fun but challenging. I want to continue learning this framework in the future. Thank you all the team for their support and answer any question that I had. Also, thank you Matt for making the lessons very fun and dynamic. I never got into coding until I found SheCodes. This is my last course of the plus package and I am more motivated to pursue a Front-end development career.
I've learned so much over the past couple of months with SheCodes. Matt's clear and simple explanations make for very easy following and it's great to have so many opportunities to put into practice everything that's being explained, what with the challenges, homework and projects! Looking forward to continuing my coding journey and learning more about React and API calls and responsive design!
I recently finished the workshop where I learned how to develop a Dictionary app using React and 2 different APIs. While I found React to be challenging at first, with practice and persistence, I was able to create a functional app. We learned how to integrate 2 APIs (one for word definitions and another for photographs) into the app and how to display the results in a user-friendly way. One thing I appreciated about the workshop was that the instructor provided us with all the code we needed to follow along, but also encouraged us to customize the app and make it our own. Overall, the workshop was informative, and challenging, providing valuable hands-on experience.
The React Dictionary project was my favorite. Great final project building on everything we have learned and practicing further React skills as well as gaining experience with connecting multiple APIs.
React is interesting instrument for work with tasks. I like the structure of components. It's easier to build site with this framework
The react module was a real challenge for me. I often get stuck in code. I understand that this is only the beginning, and there is a lot of new knowledge ahead of me. And it's scary. But I'm already on this path and I like it.
I wanted to learn the React course for a long time, but due to the incoherence of the content, it was postponed until today, when I was able to learn the basic content of React very well in two weeks and redesign the weather forecasting project with React. It's been a wonderful and challenging journey for which I am very grateful to SheCodes Team. React can be tough at first, but practice isn't the thing you do once you're good. It's the thing you do that makes you good.
This is my fourth SheCodes workshop, and my learning curve has been incredibly steep. I started out with zero knowledge, and SheCodes has given me tons of knowledge and more confidence. SheCodes has given me the confidence to play with code and explore existing libraries and frameworks. The React workshop was terrific; it tied together everything I've learned and pushed me to challenge myself. The instructor is incredibly resourceful and talented and explains things in a simple-to-understand and unique way. The Slack team is ready to answer any question 24/7, and there is a massive community of women with the same goals and ambitions. I cannot recommend these workshops enough!
I honestly didn't believe I could make it to the end of this course because React is not as easy as it has been so far. But once again Matt proved that anyone can do it! Throughout the course I felt that I was accompanied and that little by little I got there! and guess what? I got it!
It's the best place to learn how to code using React.
Doing 2nd project in React with SheCodes helped me to understand it better. I am really happy that I could do another project. Everything was explained very well as always!
The SheCodes Responsive Add-on was loads of fun! I enjoyed creating a travel website about my favourite city! I am looking forward to the next Workshop and to finally start learning React.

Taking this add-on after venturing into React for the first time in the React workshop was great additional practice for me. This mini workshop helped me cement React concepts (how components work and how they connect/how to troubleshoot) and made me more comfortable with applying this to my own projects. Seeing the instructor work out bugs on the tutorials (the thinking process and steps he takes) helped me with doing my own debugging. I have thoroughly enjoyed all the workshop SheCodes has to offer.
Learnt so much in this add-on! So much to know about React and API integration!
I'm so happy that I could finish this journey. React was so strange at the beginning but it got better and better after learning each course. I have to thank Matt for his great mindset in supporting women in Tech and establishing SheCodes as well as the SheCodes team for their patience and good attitude.
This was a great project. I found it very beneficial to have previously done this weather app in JavaScript before doing it in React.
The React Workshop gives an amazing opportunity to gain new knowledge and practice. It is not an easy job but it is definitely worth all effort.
Finally, I made it. That was amazing 6 weeks of coding in React. Building awesome React projects is actualy very intersting. I definetly recomend it to everyone!
The SheCodes React workshop added on to the skills and knowledge that I learned with the previous workshops. It was more challenging but once again, Matt did a great job at explaining and going through all the knowledge on how to code a website app in React. I am glad to have taken the SheCodes workshops and recommend it to anyone regardless of experience in coding.

The SheCodes Responsive Workshop expanded on the importance of mobile responsiveness for web development. As Matt mentions during the course, creating a responsive website can be challenging, albeit rewarding in the end! This workshop delved into the concept of Flexbox and how to utilise it, a tool I was unfamiliar with. Overall, I am very satisfied with my progress during this journey! I look forward to learning React and all other topics the next workshop has to offer!

I felt like the previous workshops gave me a better understanding of the language. I am not walking away from the React workshop feeling like I have a good beginner understanding of it. There were frequent comments about "this is really difficult, you don't need to know why this works this way, just do it" which doesn't help with ultimately understanding the framework. Additionally, while there is some merit in being able to adapt previous code to a new framework, I disliked not having a new project to work on. I wanted to work on a fresh project that would potentially need different types of logic employed. I felt a bit hoodwinked when I saw we were just doing the weather app again.
I am so glad that I took this React course with SheCodes because I learned so much. Coding is not easy but it does pay off at the end when you see your projects come to life and it feels good knowing you didn't quit. Coding is not for everyone and that is ok but if you can learn even the basics you already gained a skill you didn't have before.
Learning hoe to code with React made me realize how clean your code can be but at the same time be very powerful with just a few lines of code!
Learning React is not easy but Matt's instructions were really clear and made it easy to understand the different concepts. I have completed all the previous SheCodes workshops and they have all been amazing. This one is no different, and I can only hope that more workshops are released in the future!
As all previous workshops, SheCodes React was super interesting and full of valuable information! I learned a lot of things that will surely aid me to start a career as a front-end web developer. New concepts are introduced in small portions to make them easy to understand and practice with the daily challenges. And even though there are deadlines to lean on, if your life really gets too busy (like mine did), you can always come back later and continue/ finish the course when you have the time. The tech support will still be there for you as well. All in all, I would highly recommend this course to anyone who would like to learn about React JS or just continue their coding journey. I had a lot of fun and I'm sure, so will you. π
SheCodes React was definitely one of my most challenging workshops. I took a lot of time to finish this project, but at the same time, it was fascinating! Matthieu Delac breaks down the whole process into easy-to-understand pieces. Shout out to JoΓ£o, Vlada, and Paul, who have been incredible guides! It's a pleasure to see the final result and to know what I accomplished in the 6 weeks. The SheCodes journey has elevated my desire to learn more and practice my skills in real-life projects. Definitely would recommend this course!
Enjoyed every single lesson, where I learned about React a lot.
It's been a long time since I first started SheCodes. I did Basic, Plus, Responsive and had plans to start React. But unfortunately life doesn't go always as planned and motherhood and settling down in a new country ended up drifting me away from the course. But I always felt eager and anxious to get back to it. After one year away from all I decided to get back on track and get myself the Basic Addon course to slowly getting myself familiar again with all the content. And it really worked great! Was a great way to get myself going again and It felt natural and easy to follow. I am very happy to be back, and also am very happy to realize how much I really love coding. Can't wait to have more :)

I was in Tech Sales for around 12 years, but I always knew that was not my happy place. After I took the first SheCodes class, I finally realised that my real passion is not selling Tech, it's being in it! I decided to switch careers and I've never been this motivated and happy. To see my workshop project become a reality made me feel so proud and excited. Can't wait to continue with Responsive and React, and I'm very much looking forward to what my future will bring. The React course was definitely the most challenging one and surely a great end to the four main courses. To see a little preview of the long way ahead of me makes me want to learn more and more. A half a year ago I would never dreamed of myself as someone who can look at a source code of a page and actually understand how things were built, it is quite amazing!
I have completed four workshops with SheCodes. Each of them was extremely useful and interesting. I was really inspired my "Weather app" created on React. For me it is a good start in the development of FrontEnd.
I feel incredibly accomplished in further expanding my coding knowledge with Matt's teachings and building such a fantastic application from the SheCodes React workshop. In this journey, I was able to integrate everything I've learned into such an elegant language. I feel so equipped to build more dynamic React sites like the Weather Application in the future.

Wow, the React workshop is pretty complex. This is really an advanced level. The logic of creating an application is understandable, but you still need a lot of knowledge to be able to put it into practice.
The SheCodes classes are a good way to get started. I think the react class is the most difficult one. It was interesting but in my opinion the other classes are enough if you just want to get to know coding. I think some videos need to be updated but generally I would recommend all the classes I took here!
I recently finished the React workshop and was impressed with the knowledge and teaching style of the instructor, Matt. One of the highlights of the workshop: building a weather app. On the surface, the app may have looked simple, but it was a great demonstration of the power of React. Despite its basic appearance, there was a lot of work that went into building this app, and I learned so much about the React framework in the process. The workshop was structured in such a way that we gradually built up the app, starting with the basics and adding more and more functionality. This made it easy for me to understand how React works and how to use it effectively.
Coding the React dictionary App was another challenge that made me understand React better. The SheCodes workshop's have come to an end. Looking back, I have learned to code from scratch, thanks to Matt and his SheCodes Team! I keep referring new women to SheCodes. Especially trying to reach my Namibian people to join via the Delac Foundation.
This workshop really challenged me in furthering my understanding of React and helped me to gain new skills.
SheCodes Responsive was the third course that I have taken through SheCodes. While this course was probably the hardest for me, it was the first time I have started to feel really comfortable with code. Learning how to make pages responsive will definitely translate in to a real world skill. Matt takes work that seems scary and unmanageable and breaks it down into digestible chunks, which really helps to boost your self-esteem! I am looking forward to the next React course.
I want to thank the SheCodes team for this great opportunity to study JS and React. This was pretty complicated journey but it was interesting, challenging and exciting as well. Now I'm really proud of myself and eager to learn programming languages even more deeply.

This work shop has been a challenging one. Starting with how to start using React and deploying it, and then to changing a bit of the ways you code. I had to keep reminding myself of when we are using React and when to use JSX. Luckily the videos and the SheCodes staff through Slack has been a life saver! I recommend the work shops because of the helpful explanations on why the codes work this way and not that way, and the homework and challenges will keep you on track.
