I continued to enjoy these responsive workshops thanks to Matt's teaching style, in particular the way he breaks topics down into smaller parts to help you build a well thought out project! I love the freedom in the projects to come up with something completely your own. Bring on react!
This workshop has been my favorite yet! I love working with JavaScript React; it has so much potential. I was a bit intimidated going in as I heard JavaScript React is hard. However, Matt has excellent and easy-to-follow explanations. Matt makes things easy to grasp. I love React and want to keep learning more. Building in React is the best!!!!

SheCodes Basics was an amazing introduction to coding! I'm very excited to move on to my next workshop of Plus React! Overall it is well organized and the lessons are well explained with great challenges along the way to practice the knowledge. It helps the homework and final project feel more manageable as well. This final course was such a good challenge. I know I still need to learn more, but I don't think I could have done it without this course as a basepoint. I'm really happy I finished this and added a basic understanding of React to my knowledgebase.
React is a challenging workshop and more focused on the two projects you work on, but you really learn a lot. As always, the support you get is great :) If you enjoyed Plus, this course is a good choice.
I'm so glad I fought through this one! It was more difficult, but I appreciate the chance to understand React and how it differs from standard JS. I will soon be launching a web design business with my husband because of all that I've learned over the past year. I can definitely say that I'm confident enough to understand and sell our product and manage client portfolios. I have come a long way with the amazing skills I have now. This was a wonderful experience.
This was my 3rd SheCodes workshop and I loved it! The final project was so much fun and so useful. I was able to make a multiple pages website responsive and create a portfolio I can update and use to share my work! Really looking forward to learn React.

This workshop was challenging yet rewarding. I learned how to make responsive websites with the help of our wonderful instructor Matt Delac. As a teacher myself I can honestly say that Matt has a very direct and simple way of teaching that makes learning easy and enjoyable. I'm looking forward to the REACT workshop!

Although React was quite difficult to learn, the videos, challenges and guidance made it possible. I particularly enjoyed the opportunity to create two different projects.

SheCodes Responsive was such a steep learning curve, but I enjoyed every bit of it! The lessons in this module are very well structured and easy to understand, which is probably why I thought I could finish it in no time :) But, little did I know! Working on the final assignment (portfolio project) was when the struggle got real :) It was challenging and sometimes overwhelming when I would get stuck with a coding problem longer than anticipated, but looking back I can see how far I've actually come, which is an awesome feeling that makes all of the struggle worth :) Designing and coding your project from scratch, having to review lessons over and over again and googling for solutions is what makes you learn and grow, which might not feel like that immediately, but you're getting there, 100%! :) See you in the React course! :)
Sad it's over but so happy that I did it! The SheCodes React workshop was my favourite one of them all. I feel that I achieved a lot during this course and I can't wait to put what I have learnt into practice.

The projects I worked on gave me great opportunities to dive deeper into React. It was a fun but challenging time, and I highly recommend this course to anyone who is determined to go through the problem solving journey.
React is not easy; however, the key concepts will be repeated over and over again during the building of the projects throughout the course. You will eventually get used to it and maybe even get the hang of it . This course is packed with information. I like how Matt always gets straight to the point and teaches you the most practical basics. And he is not afraid of showing his mistakes while lecturing coding. I appreciate that, so I can also learn from his mistakes. I am glad I took this course; otherwise, I wouldn't know I like React better than JavaScript.
I've had a great time learning React and can't wait to use it more regularly in my coding practices. I definitely recommend SheCodes to anyone looking to become a front-end developer!
Past eight weeks in React Workshop have been my last with SheCodes, but not least. It was not easy sometimes, but once you get a grip on it, the whole new world will suddenly open. The lessons are well structured. As always, the whole team is here to help. It is definitely a great addition to the Basic, Plus and Responsive and I am proud to showcase my project in the future.
It was quite a journey for me from the beginning until React. I can see that there's still a long way to go on this path which I'd like to keep going and try my best. I've learned a lot from the courses and they made me realize that there's nothing too hard to learn as long as you give it time. Thanks to Matt and team who made this a nice journey!
It was a meaningful journey for a beginner like me to learn React, one of the most promising and popular tools in the IT field, and to make the actual application. It was difficult to understand at first but as I am making my own app with advice and guidance from Slack SheCodes community, I was not afraid of making mistakes. I feel it is still not enough to be confident but it is a good start.
Seeing my progress over the past few months has been so rewarding. This course really taught me about making a multiple page website that looks good on a laptop, tablet, and phone! Along with learning more about bootstrap. Matt and the team here are very helpful whenever you encounter any roadblocks. I have enjoyed my journey so far! Now onto the next course to learn about react. 🤗
This was my third SheCodes course that I have completed and I am amazed at how far I have come in such a short time! With Matt's instruction and the guidance by the instructors on Slack whenever I have a question, I have gone from zero coding knowledge to having built a portfolio in a few months. Loving this class and excited to continue on with React next!
It took me a while to understand how React components work, but then it was a lot of fun. I'm sad that this course has come to an end now, but I plan to continue on my coding journey. Yet another great SheCodes course in the pocket! Responsiveness is a very interesting topic that I could have easily spent another 5 weeks on, but Matt as always gets straight to the point and teaches you the most useful basics, while leaving it up to you to decide if you want to dive into the topic deeper using those basics. I'm eager, yet secretly also a little bit sad, to start my very last SheCodes course this week: React. Thank you guys for everything!
I loved to learn little bit about React, it was not easy but not so far form JavaScript....I highly recommend for others girls who want to learn programming!
The JavaScript was definitely challenging, but help was always available on Slack (shoutout to Bruno and João) ☺️. I'm proud of my final project with real data! I have a much better understanding of HTML, CSS and Bootstrap. Looking forward to learning more about JS in the responsive and react workshops.
This workshop teaches complex techniques using react. At times it was difficult, however, using react turned out to be more fun and better for me than using pure JS. React also built more good habits since it's stricter as well. So even though learning it was a little frustrating at first, it soon become rewarding and worthwhile.
I learned a lot from this React workshop. I can’t wait to practice all that I’ve learned and start building new projects. And also continue to learn and grow more in this life-long coding journey. I never would have thought I'd learn so much in such a small space of time! The projects are really fun and interesting, and key processes are repeated, so you find yourself becoming familiar with writing React code and debugging quickly. I'll really miss this journey! Thank you SheCodes team! :)
React is not an easy technology and in the beggining I was having a hard time getting used to it, but when you get the hang of it, it's great! I did this course while working and still didn't feel very tired because the way it is structured allows you to go at your own pace but to still have clear objectives. For people who want to learn how to code and have no experience, this is a great place to learn. Matt and the team are great, always ready to help.
Another wonderful workshop from SheCodes! When it comes to coding, nothing is easy in the beginning. But for me, Matts's tutorials are very precise and very approachable. Great workshop, as always! Looking forward to start React soon!
I was really excited to do React, but I was also a bit intimidated. Javascript is something I try to understand through application, and even then it's difficult when there are so many sources around me. I think this workshop was great, fun, and informative!

After finishing SheCodes Plus I was not sure whether I should do SheCodes Responsive or SheCodes React first. I'm glad I decided to do SheCodes Responsive first to slow down and focus on the design aspect and learn more about optimizing sizing of pages for certain devices. I am excited and nervous to move on to SheCodes React but I am excited to update my portfolio with new projects!

Super fun and well-structured course! I finally feel like I know what I'm doing while using HTML and CSS, and because of this I was able to use my creativity and design my own website. It can be really frustrating when something breaks, but so satisfying when you get it to work again. I definitely had trouble with JavaScript in SheCodes Plus so I'm excited to get more practice in with React. Thanks Matt!
I enjoyed participating in the SheCodes Basics workshop. Before signing up for the SheCodes React workshop package I looked around at a lot of different virtual learning options and was more drawn to the overall look and feel of SheCodes. I like that it seems approachable. That may feel small to someone more experienced, but for me it made all the difference. The lessons are broken down into easily digestible subsections, are very concise, and build upon the prior lesson so one gains a cumulative skillset without even acknowledging it. Additionally, Matt is easy to listen to and unintentionally funny. Having open access to the SheCodes slack channels is also an amazing learning tool. It's easy to get caught up and bogged down in the minutiae of whatever one may be building/debugging. Reading thru the slack and testing other people's code can help one to look at their own project differently with new eyes. I'm honestly really proud of what I made for this final project with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
I started learning to code a few months ago and I can not believe how much I have learned in just a few weeks! The topics in the videos are perfectly broken down, Matt is a great teacher and makes everything so understandable, and the Slack community is a great help. It is a lot of hard work, and I have both cursed and cried during the past 8 weeks. But the feeling when everything finally works is so rewarding and makes it all worth it! I can't wait to start the React workshop and see where all this takes me!

This was a comprehensive introduction to React. Apprehending the new knowledge was frustrating at some points, but it's worth to go through and see the results. I like that it is project-based and in the end you have your opus to show off.
I had soooo much fun learning react and it was very well explained. I feel confident that I can build more and I just can't wait.

Teacher Matt tried to teach many things but definitely not enough to do the final project. Obviously teacher knows this very well so he technically led the students to build the weather app step by step, for the last 2 weeks. He'll say "Let's do this, and this, then this..." I followed his steps and copied his code line by line and then finally it worked, of course. But to do it again all by myself? Definitely no way. It is like you learnt how to do the math, then even one-dimensional linear equation, but the final test is calculus. Teacher knows you can't do it so he writes the answer on the blackboard, and says "okay this is quite challenging but if you learn React it is much easier." Seriously? To sell senior class to a totally confused student?
Having so much fun learning how to code with the SheCodes team, very informative videos and self study materials. Next up, React development!
The SheCodes React workshop is extremely well structured and I felt it was a great stepping stone to learning how to build scalable apps. As always, Matt gives very clear explanations of different concepts and the accompanying mini challenges and final project help to solidify what you learn through practical application. Learning React was a journey, not always easy but very satisfying once things started working. I loved my journey with SheCodes, now that I completed all the workshops I can say with certainty that it is a wonderful bootscamp for anyone who might be a little scared and see code as daunting. It offers not only easy to follow classes, that allow us to make our own hours and workaround difficult schedules as it offers a great and supportive community, starting by our instructor Matt, all of the awesome support team as well as all the students! Woohoo! I have achieved my final certificate with SheCodes (React)! It's bittersweet as I'm going to miss the community and the staff. But I'm so very grateful for everything that I have learned and I'm so excited to continue learning and growing! The React course was really great, although probably took me more than 5 hours a week to complete. But it was fun and I learned a lot.
What a journey this has been, from learning the basics to being able to create applications in React. This course was mentally challenging and equally rewarding. I will miss Matt's tutorials and forever enjoy re-visiting lessons when I'm stuck!
This course forced me to stay focused because there was a moment or two where I was thinking about quitting... But it was worth it to keep on going, luckily 😉. I am happy to have got an idea of what is possible with React.
