When I started SheCodes Plus I was about to start a new job at a large company as a UX designer where I would be working with developers on the designs I made for mobile apps and websites. I wanted to be able to speak their language by learning how to code. SheCodes Plus really helped me transition into my new role, even just by teaching me terminology like "Calling an API" (and knowing how to do it in Javascript!) or being able to read code when I would inspect a page on our company site for things I needed to reference. It gave me a lot more confidence in my skills - especially with being the "new girl" on the team. SheCodes Plus really focuses on Javascript which I found to be the trickiest of the three coding languages (HTML, CSS, and Javascript - I'm very comfortable with CSS now lol). Overtime I started to get the hang of it especially when we got to the Vanilla Javascript stuff. I love how Matt teaches and everything is so well structured its easy to follow along. The community is great, too, because they are so fast to get back to you when you have an issue and help you get through it (This is super handy for Javascript btw!). I cannot wait to jump into Responsive! I wasn't sure if I was going to do the React course at first, but Matt kept saying that things get a lot more straightforward when we get to React, so I will now be doing that one, too, and finish off all the courses! I found this course packed with information and I loved the style of Matt's explanations. With a full-time job, it wasn't always easy to find the time and that's why I was also thankful for the possibility of postponing deadlines. I am finishing this course with so much joy, seeing my own progress in coding and I am motivated for the next adventure learning React in the next course. Thank you, Matt and the whole SheCodes team for this amazing opportunity.

The SheCodes React workshop was amazing! It has honestly been my favourite workshop out of all of them! The structure of this workshop made learning react very easy, interesting and enjoyable! Doing all the workshops I like React workshop the most. It was very challenging. My journey with coding will not end just here with SheCodes React. I will do my best to keep learning. I completed SheCodes React as part of the SheCodes Pro package. I do not think without SheCodes I would be able to say I can confidently code a website and web app from scratch. React takes your learning from Javascript to a whole new level. The workshop provides a good and informative learning curve to get to grips with React as I do not think I would have been able to learn the framework on my own.
SheCodes React is an amazing course. It's challenging, lots to learn, but once you complete it, you'll feel accomplished and have so much more knowledge in such a short amount of time. Matt explains things very well. He is real and will show you that even an advanced developer still has much to learn. Loved this course!
SheCodes workshops guided me into an awesome coding experience without having prior knowledge in web development. I am grateful I started to learn coding and decided to invest in myself graduating SheCodes React course. Finally finished the last course offered by SheCodes! REACT was a super fun course where I have learned a lot. It had it's tricky moments but I certainly enjoyed every step of it. Alongside the help from Matt, the team, as well as other students, I have managed to learn a lot. I never thought I would be able to develop both an weather app AND a dictionary app. This was a really fun trajectory!
Once I had completed SheCodes Basics, I was so excited to start SheCodes Pro! It has been a great course with a big focus on front-end development and API integration. Learning React has been quite a ride, I must say! It's difficult at times, but if you keep going and use all the help you can get through SheCodes, you can make it safely to the end. Despite some frustrating moments, I really enjoyed this adventure!

SheCodes Plus was challenging at times, but overall super fun! I am quite proud that I am now able to use HTML, CSS, and JS to build a responsive weather app backed by an API. I cannot wait to continue my journey and learn more about coding and to understand what React is all about.

I’m still wondering how it all happened. I started to code and I cannot believe it 🙈. It’s hard, I’m struggling sometimes, it’s not easy. But everything comes with practice! That’s why (after learning JS a little bit more on my own, just to understand it better) I’m starting with react course ❤️. And I’m so curious and excited about the React🤩. So, simply, a very Big THANK U Matt Delac, for creating such a great, special She-platform 🙌❤️. It's the best course ever! Especially for women with full-time work like me. I reccomend a lot ❤️. Hopefully, in a few months, I'm gonna looking for a dream job 🙈.
I do love these courses, but again, I would have had NO idea how to build this website without following along with Matt step-by-step. I'm not sure how I'll be able to utilize this course for getting a job in the future, despite having a portfolio (that again, I would have never been able to build if I didn't just follow along). Hoping the React course provides more confidence in the SheCodes curriculum.

Learning to code through the SheCodes workshops has been a great experience! At the beginning of last summer, I didn't know how to write any CSS or Javascript. Through consistently spending 5-10 hours a week working through the workshops at times that fit my own schedule, I now feel comfortable building React apps.

I always thought that programming is something that is very hard to understand, but as soon as I started, I realized that actually, it is very interesting and creative! It was an incredible experience building my own weather app with the SheCodes team. This is a very well-structured and informative course consisting of step-by-step instructions from HTML basics to APIs and JavaScript functionality. I'm really looking forward to starting the React journey!

I enjoyed the Responsive Workshop because for me it is more about design and a little of UX and UI, I tought it would be easier since we don't apply JS, despite that I struggled a bit because it is another world, at the end I loved it and I think it's all about practice. I want to begin the next React workshop as soon as possible so I didn't forget the previous ones :D

SheCodes React is definitely a step up in terms of difficulty compared to the previous workshops, but once you get the hang of it, it feels like a real achievement! Matt explains everything really well, going over the particularly tricky concepts multiple times, making sure to fully explain exactly how each new step works, and why you do it. If you've completed SheCodes Plus and SheCodes Responsive, this is the perfect next step for you!
This workshop, like the others in SheCodes, goes straight to the basics and simple stuff that you should definitely know about coding and React. Matt, it's a very GOOD teacher. You can always get help on slack if you go stuck. They encourage you to finish the workshop by having weekly deadlines, but also offers you the possibility to request extensions if you need more time to process the knowledge or just having busy days. I'm very happy with the results of my two projects.
React was definitely the most challenging of all the SheCodes workshops for me, but it is well worth it. There are so many resources provided to help you along the way. I feel like this is one of the best decisions I've ever made. I'm excited about the new skills I've learned and I can’t wait to see where this takes me!
Another great course from SheCodes! It was a very different than previous Plus course with the switch to focusing solely on HTML and CSS and building websites with multiple pages that are fully responsive. I really appreciated that the project was to build my own portfolio website. It would have been a big push to do that by myself and now I have a really nice looking website to use during my job search. It also gave a good taste of a specific type of frontend developer role where you using a design and building a website. Made me realize I would probably prefer a slightly different role that uses more javascript. I'm looking forward to starting the React course.. I've been missing javascript!! 😄😁
I've done all of SheCodes Workshops, and I think the React one has been more challenging. However, I also feel it was the most satisfying to complete. Thanks to the entire team for helping so many women to pursue this career, and thank you for all the support!

The SheCodes React workshop is fantastic at building upon the foundation set with Basic and Plus by integrating them into the React framework for agile, adaptive coding. Additionally, the workshop reinforces best practices for use of APIs, versioning, and hosting. Highly recommend!

React was definitely challenging but once you understand how to create new components and incorporate APIs the final result is rewarding.
This workshop is great for those trying to get their first foot inside of React. I enjoyed working on the two projects, Weather App and Dictionary App. I found it very nice to have built a Weather App on Vanilla JS from the previous workshop and then again in this workshop, allowing me to learn the differences hands on and the powerful functionalities of React, but also learning the basics of Javascript through the vanilla project.
This course is recommended if you want to learn more about a popular JavaScript library. For example, it's interesting to see how React differs from 'Vanilla JavaScript' and how you can achieve the same thing with fewer lines of code, which keeps things a lot clearer. You learn a lot while making 2 projects.

SheCodes React was really challenging. At the beginning I was totally lost, but with the smooth pace of the classes I was able to understand how React.js works and how powerful it is. It was really fun to work with React.js and get more contact with others APIs. I'm really grateful for Matt and SheCodes for the opportunity!

I was really looking forward to finally being able to build responsive pages. I enjoyed the course a lot, also because of the insights into Figma and other design tools. Now I'm excited to see what the next station "React" has in store.
I've learnt a lot during SheCodes Responsive. After this workshop I can use Bootstrap and Media Query without any problem and make nice, responsive websites. Thanks and can't wait to start SheCodes React! 😊
Yayy to me! I have completed another Shecodes Workshop successfully. I am looking forward to start React now. :) The structure of the syllabus was spot on. I am not a book person and I have wasted so much money buying programming books and never finished more than 2 pages( im not proud). I love how Shecodes gives me opportunity to watch Matt doing the work and i can watch step by step. lets talk about the help. Amazing community and Joao and Bruno helped me at every step where I felt stuck, without babysitting me.I absolutely recommend Shecodes to anyone on a heart beat.
