Loved this course. It was certainly challenging (more so than the previous workshops) I so appreciated Matt's humbleness though and how he's still perfecting the skill of making webpages responsive. He's an incredible instructor, and the help received on Slack was priceless. I gained a lot of confidence in my coding skills during the workshop and look forward to coding more, in SheCodes continues to impress me as an organization. I love everything they are about, especially their focus to offer training for free in developing countries. So cool! Can't wait for React!
I often say to everyone around me that SheCodes is the best thing that has ever happened in my life so far. In my case, this course is not about learning coding only and by the way, we have the best teacher ever... but it is also about fulfillment and happiness with what I am doing. I'll be forever grateful for everything I've learned here and for starting my journey in the best place. React workshop was challenging at first but very interesting and I felt by the end of it like I'm managing well and feeling comfortable working with React :) it was nice to learn another coding frame work, and add another skill to my resume ! looking forward to my last workshop left - Responsive ! :)

Before starting this course, I did not have any knowledge about coding -though I was always so curious about it! I have just finished SheCodes Basics and WOW! Within 3 weeks, I've learnt plenty about HTML, CSS and JavaScript and built a basic web page from scratch! Learning to code can be challenging, however, it is indeed rewarding too. Remember that, to really learn this stuff, you need to immerse yourself in it. Keep practising! I highly encourage anyone new to coding to enrol in this workshop. Do not hesitate! SheCodes workshops were very helpful in helping me understand the basics of JavaScript and React. I liked the fact that I could build something very tangible to portrait to future employers. I enjoyed doing this program.

From having no ideea of coding in just 5 months i was able to build : my first landing page, my weather app with vanilla , my weather app with react...and more will come soon .
Would recommend all the ScheCodes workshops to anyone! I learned so much in Basic, Plus, and then React. There's nothing like building something yourself and seeing it come to life. I found coding very rewarding. I was also able to fit it in around my full time position. Every week day from 6-8 you could find me watching the lessons and completing the challenges and homework - and with that schedule, I was able to get through it without feeling stressed. Extensions are super felxible too when life gets in the way. 100/100!
React is a challenge for me, it is difficult and demanding, but thanks to SheCodes workshops it is easier for me to start my adventure with programming in React.
Taking the SheCodes Basics was definitely what I needed to feel refreshed and confident with coding before hopping onto the more advanced courses such as React or Pro, which I am thinking of taking next. Each lesson within a week was so easy to follow and the extra documentation and syntaxes provided below each video was very helpful. The way Matt had divided his lessons really makes the student not feel overwhelmed as most may worry or be intimidated about when it comes to coding. But with SheCodes everything was easy. Onto the next courses!
Pursuing the advanced courses of SheCodes Plus was a worthwhile effort. Before SheCodes, I'd been going through self-teaching coding courses and nearly gave up. I'm glad I didn't. With SheCodes Basics, all the concepts I'd been trying to understand and figure out had finally clicked and I knew I was on the right path for me. Matt and his team provide the support and encouragement to keep going when the work gets super challenging. Moving on to SheCodes React now...

I am a software engineer and I did have knowledge of HTML CSS and JS basics. However, I thoroughly enjoyed every step of the learning process. I was lost before but now I do not think of anything else besides frontend development for my career. Can't wait to meet React <3
This has truly be amazing! Learning React has been challenging but so rewarding! I also loved working on the dictionatry app as it was something to be build from scratch and really tested my nerves sometimes 😁 However, final result always justifies all struggles 🤩
SheCodes Plus was so much fun and it felt amazing to create something that I can actually use everyday! The workshop felt challenging as I worked through the weeks, but it was so exciting to get to the final project and really prove to myself how much I learned over the weeks. Words can't describe how much I've learnt from Shecodes basics to Shecodes plus thus far. At times, it gets challenging and frustrating, to digest a new concept, however the outcome of being able to achieve what I never thought I would be able to do is extremely rewarding and satisfying. What a great course! SheCodes Responsive was one of the reasons why I chose SheCodes Pro since I wanted to have my own responsive Portfolio website for quite a while. Plus was another fun and interesting course to complete. I think some of the explanations and material are better done in the Intro course, but overall, still a solid course and I will continue with the React and Responsive courses.
I have really enjoyed the experience with SheCodes! The team is amazing, super helpful and I recommend the React course to anyone curious about coding.
SheCodes React was my third workshop and while it was definitely challenging at times I would 100% recommend it. I learned heaps about how to use React and how components work and how to bring it all together. Since I have a background in linguistics and teaching I particularly liked creating the Dictionary App, which is also why I chose that for my final project. Can't wait to get started with Responsive later this year.
I have finally completed the React course of SheCodes. It's a lot of hard work, but it's also very fun (personally I enjoyed the React course WAY more than the SheCodes Plus course)! I was motivated with seeing my progress in real-time, and as always Matt's instruction is remarkable and easy to understand and follow. The rest of the SheCodes team is very helpful in answering questions as well. I love the fact that we can review course materials and videos as many times as we want, and that we have lifetime access to our completed course workshops! I'm definitely going to review and refer back to what I learned in my React course throughout my ongoing coding journey. I have learned so, so much. With SheCodes, I was able to learn to code from literally no experience at all, all the way to being comfortable with JavaScript React. I encourage any and all women interested in learning how to code to learn with SheCodes. I look forward to everything SheCodes has to offer in the future, and in the meantime I will get to work on my own projects independently now. Thank you so much for everything!

Well, this was fun! The creative side in me absolutely loved getting into designing and building my own website with SheCodes Responsive. In this course we learn the details of the whole process of developing a website, from Search Engine Optimization, to multiple page hosting, Media Queries or Boostrsap to make your site responsive, so it is usable from all mobile devices. Wether it was me personally, or the whole process of learning and evolving taking place, this course went more smoothly, with rarely any bumps on the way. I really enjoyed it and i cant wait to get onto the last one, React!
Matt and the team have created another great workshop! It's been really fun to build my own website and compile all the applications I've built through SheCodes Plus and React. The real life projects tested my practical skills to the limits. This is such a great program to go through each step on understanding React and API's. This part of the SheCodes workshop really took my knowledge and skills to a whole another level.
I loved react. I liked it better than vanilla javascript actually, everything can be much better organised with react. The courses were very well designed, I especially enjoyed building the dictionary app after all the weather-app-building :) It took me definitely longer than 5-10 hrs a week to really throw myself into everything, but it was worth it and I'm very motivated to start working with react on a regular basis now.
Fun and as always very good course 😀 I keep moving forward. React!

After finishing SheCodes Plus, SheCodes React, and now SheCodes Responsive, I can't say enough about Matt and his SheCodes team! The videos are great and the team on Slack is super responsive to questions. Having a full time job and taking the React workshop was definitely a challenge, but the step by step lessons break down the logic behind and make it easier to follow. SheCodes really demystifies coding! The support team is great, students are always happy to help and Matt can teach!!
After working through the basic workshop, I knew I had to take coding a bit further. The Plus workshop is certainly a challenge, but I feel more confident than ever that I can tackle any task or problem presented to me. I've started accepting client projects already, and while there's still much to learn, it feels great to have made it this far! Onwards to REACT!
Learning with Matt was a very unique and thrilling experience. While learning how to code, I felt like I was at a chemistry lab mixing it all up, testing and then Voila; magic happens. The challenges after each lesson and the final homework kept me wanting more. What a wonderful way Matt teaches something that is viewed as complex made simple and fun! Having completed shecodesBasics, I really enjoyed it and decided to take the next step to ShecodesPlus. This one was much more challenging and it took me much longer than expected (due to being on maternity leave and looking after a young baby full time!). The team are very understanding and supportive and I genuinely don't think there is another course out there like this one. Thanks so much to the Shecodes team for producing this course for people like me! Definitely taking it even further and going on to do React as I've learnt so much already and keen to learn more!

SheCodes Plus was indeed challenging as JavaScript can be super confusing and not at all intuitive to a complete beginner. After completing this course, I can confidently present my weather app that I coded (and actually understood the process of) through Matt's efficient and eloquent way of teaching. Anyone can code but not many can create such a well thought out module, his own platform and most importantly, teach. I'm looking forward to learning more in SheCodes React.

React was challenging but quick to learn and fun to put to use! After learning the advanced coding techniques from SheCodes Plus, I was really able to see how the pieces fit and how to use them with React. I even found myself able to code ahead of the lessons in some stages because it just made so much sense! Can't wait to put all of my skills to use in creating my own portfolio in Responsive!
SheCodes Basics was a great introductory course for me since I was always interested in coding but had no idea what it would be like. This course was very easy to fit in to my busy work schedule and I just wish the basics program had more content because I was left wanting more. I am a lab technician working specifically in lab operations and will use what I learn when working with developers for sites that my group uses. I most likely will upgrade to the Plus Reacts or the Pro workshop next.

When I think back on where I started (close to zero knowledge on coding), I can't believe how much I have learned. React is really fun and I highly recommend doing SheCodes Plus React if you can!

When I started with SheCodes I had no idea where this journey would take me. A lot happened in the past six months. I bought into the myth that programming is just for mathematically-inclined folks. SheCodes quickly debunked that myth. Now that I understand what code can do, I spend a lot of time dreaming up all sorts of ideas that can be created with React.
This is it ! I completed three SheCodes courses, and I'm so grateful for all the knowledge I've gained. Working with React was cool but also a challenge; at the end of the day, things are so much more efficient. I definitely recommend all the workshops, it gives you the best insight into how coding can be fun ! Long live SheCodes !

After having completed SheCodes Basics, Plus and now React, I can confidently say I've learned far more than I expected from these courses. The challenges are sometimes difficult, but each lesson is explained in detail and you always have the option of asking for help in the Slack chat server. I'm excited to start looking for work in React development and can't wait to see where these new skills take me.

I loved the Responsive course and the tools provided to create websites that are fully functional to any device. This course allowed us to apply the knowledge gained through the duration of the course into a final project: a personal portfolio. The React course was a bit tougher than I expected, but I loved it anyway. I struggled a few times but it was good. Trying to fix the code and debug it, I learned to read it better and be more analytical.

I initially joined SheCodes with the view to learn some basics so I could communicate better with our in-house Dev team. I have been blown-away by the amazing SheCodes community and the support everyone gives each other. It may not be the best looking, but I am chuffed to bits with my final project and so proud that I wrote all the code on my own! I will be continuing my journey with SheCodes Plus and React :)

I must said really good workshop. I was nervous at the beginning to learn a new program like React, it went so well, That I am looking forward to learn more react.
