After starting my coding adventure with SheCodes Basics I've decided to continue with SheCodes Plus and SheCodes React. It's impressive the amount of things I had the chance to learn. The module about React was definetely the most challenging but at the end I was so happy and proud to submit my 1st React app built from scratch with Matt's help.
My knowledge wouldn't had been this far without the react workshop! This is truly an eye-opener...
What can I say about SheCodes? I'm so grateful I ended up knowing them! Every day I learn new things, and I feel like the day doesn't have enough hours to practice and enjoy every one of these things. My mind blow up with React and all the little things that you can do and improve with it! Grateful, happy, proud and really excited about keep learning and improving!

SheCodes Plus has been amazing at the very least, I had a lot of fun while learning valuable coding skills and working on the final project. SheCodes Plus has been extremely challenging but very rewarding. I'm amazed by how far I've come and, without the clear video instructions, encouragement and homework to keep me up to speed, I doubt I would ever have achieved what I have in such a short space of time. I'm already looking forward to moving onto React!

This workshop is a really good introduction to React. Matt even updated the react workshop, so that there are two projects to choose from. Or you can do both!
Not going to lie, it was a bit of a struggle for me to grasp how React works at first, but with each challenge, it all came together and actually became a lot of fun. I was so excited to see there was not one, but two projects to work on for this course. And as usual, the SlackChat provided a lot of support and help whenever I got a little stuck. Thank you Matt (and Joao) again for another great workshop!
If you want to invest in yourself and your developer skills, take this React course! It was intimidating at first but was so much fun to learn. I can't believe I built my own weather application and am so excited to see what the future has in store. Thank you Matt and SheCodes for this experience!

Learning React has been such an adventure, I have really enjoyed all of the workshops that Matt created. Everyone in the SheCodes team is very talented and the support was always there, I just want to say a big thank you guys for helping me find that confidence to get out there and pursue a career as a frontend developer.

I am probably like many people who tried to learn how to build a website by picking up bits and bobs of knowledge and examples of code here and there through various means including online tutorials. I really struggled with this approach and building something, like I had to for a couple of university projects, tended to be quite frustrating. With SheCodes I finally found a method to learn in a structured way where each step builds logically on the previous steps. Now that I have finished the basics course I can't wait to get on with SheCodes Plus and React 🥳🤓
It was an interesting and creative journey with coding 👩🏼💻. The weekly challenges give you the opportunity to test your skills and practise what you've just learned with some discipline. It was a great adventure to get through SheCodes React. I learnt a lot interesting and very useful things. Learning React it may be not the easiest but it shows a lot of new capabilities.
SheCodes Plus was a fantastic program beginning to end. The project was interesting and the instructions were clear and organized. Its so exciting to look back at my SheCodes project in comparison to my Plus project to see how ive grown as a programmer! I look forward to React!
Learning React was so much fun, especially since the Dictionary app was added so I could reinforce what I learned building the Weather app. This is my third SheCodes course and I'm also currently working through the Responsive course!
Definitively not easy as I thought. During this course I went through a few challenges but I am happy I didn't give up. I gain a more deep understanding on programing. Specially JS with the help of Matt Delac (our instructor) and João Lopes (our tech instructor) I was be able to build a app from scratch. I gain lot of knowledge and new techniques. I am looking forward to the next course React. After finalizing this course it gave me much more confidence. I see myself in the future thriving on this career path. Thank you SheCodes team.

This course was definitely challenging but I have learned so much in the past 8 weeks. It was explained step by step so that you can understand the code your writing. It is quite exciting to see the app you designed in week 1 to finally work. I can't wait to learn more in SheCodes Responsive & SheCodes React.

SheCodes does it again. Another great workshop. When I finished my React workshop and worked on other coding projects I really felt like my responsive design needed some work, so I was thrilled when this workshop got introduced. Matt [as always] is a fantastic teacher and this workshop has improved my skills as a designer of ten-folds.
Learning react from Matt was the best decision! It wasn't the easiest, but it was fun to learn. I learned how to find and solve problems throughout the workshop, and found myself enjoying doing it.
This is such an excellent workshop: Matt is a wonderful instructor who makes all these concepts really accessible. I've watched a lot of online React tutorials and no one else is quite as good. The support provided over Slack is also invaluable. If you're even remotely curious about development, you ought to sign up!

I did three courses with SheCodes the beginner’s workshop, the shecodes plus and shecodes react. I enjoyed the fact that the short videos were easy to understand , the knowledge shared was up to date and the questions were always answered within hours. Wow! I can't believe it's been six weeks. Time flies when you are having fun. React is fun to learn and use. I like how Matt elaborates each process step by step and doesn't skip to introduce us to the basics first before jumping into the more complicated ones. A lot of things I learned from the Javascript workshop made a lot of sense after learning React. I can't wait to start the next workshop!
I really enjoyed the react course. The course was easy to follow and I learnt so much. I want to continue to learn coding as a hobby or for my future career. Who knows where I will end up having this useful skill:)

The React platform was so challenging, in the good way! It was a little bit confusing when the dictionary project was launched on Shecodes.io but this new project was really fun to do 🙂 Many thanks for all the team for this great platform.

SheCodes Responsive guided me through the process of making a polished portfolio site that looks good on mobile. CSS media queries and flexbox took my designs to the next level. It was another great experience after doing Plus and React!

Incredibly challenging and equally interesting course. I am in awe with the potential of coding, and I particularly enjoyed learning React. Completing the SheCodes Plus React Workshop over the last couple of months has been a great experience from start to finish. My knowledge of coding has grown massively over the course including HTML, CSS, Javascript, React, API Integration, Bootstrap and Hosting. The coding in this course got a lot more difficult, but I found that I was able to retain the information a lot better than I thought I was able to when watching the videos. I highly recommend this course and I'm looking forward to the React workshop!
SheCodes gave me more understanding how coding works! Matt's lesson plans are easy to follow and include hands on learning. I have a full-time job and never thought I would be able to do any coding courses with my schedule. The lessons are at your own pace and Slack has been a lifesaver with everyone helping each other out. Looking forward moving to do Plus and React!
After finishing SheCodes Basics I knew for sure that I wanna continue learning how to code. I can't even believe where I got in just two months. From building simple landing page to actual working app with real data. I am so excited to move on to React and get even more out of the course. 💪🏻

I feel like I learned so much throughout this workshop! I really enjoy the detailed videos that Matt created, especially the ones for the final project. What a ride this has been. I cannot believe I did it, I built an entire website app! It's crazy to look back to January, when my journey with SheCodes started and realize how far I have come, all the way from the intro workshop where everything was new and scary and amazing, all at the same time to today, finishing my project, delivering a fully functioning weather app. I am beyond grateful for this incredible experience, I feel SO accomplished. SheCodes opened up a path into a possible new career and I am looking forward to jump right in! Now it's time to get some well deserved rest and get readyyy to start the React course :)

Finally! I completed it in 8 weeks! Due to moving house+workloads+sick, I was "dragging" the lesson/homework around 2weeks. Luckily Matt's lessons are detailed and easy to follow up, and also thanks to João for helping me point out the error that I have made. (basic structure but you know sometimes you will miss it). Now I super excited to move to the next level React!

If learning the basics of web development is on your bucket list, I definitely recommend SheCodes Plus! It's been an intense ride, with its ups and downs, but I'm proud of the app I built and can't wait to continue my studies by learning React!
I had a blast matching backgrounds and images with all the different weather conditions. With JS I can design some more interactive screens and have a really cool user experience.I am really excited to start the SheCodes REACT course and have a head start on my dev team's react project. It will definitely help me design a better product that functions best with react.

Working step by step every week on your weather app, trying to understand more deep and complex Javascript you soon realize how amazing programming is 🤩 Thank you very much for this experience! I have loved doing the 3 week Coding workshop! I was brand new to coding and just wanted to learn the basics to see how I got on; I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the course! The videos are really clear and easy to follow and you get all the support you need every step of the way. I have now signed up for SheCodes Plus & React as I am keen to continue my coding journey with SheCodes! Matt is a great instructor and the course is so well-designed and a great format, I'm really excited to start my next coding course!

Every week offers a new challenge to learn and adapt to the languages of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Its program is a flow into the next step, that way you create what was just learned. Smart feedback loop. I feel confident enough to move forward into the Plus and React programs. Another Big bonus is the community that we connect with on Slack to find solutions while participating in each lesson.
After 11 years of gap, I started updating my knowledge about computers by doing some free courses, I was frustrated as there is no particular way. While doing these tutorials, I came across SheCodes workshop which matched my expectation to pursue my goal to become a front -end developer. SheCodes courses are well designed and easy to learn. In terms of easy to learn, the courses has not only learning tutorials but also some short challenges and solutions. I have completed SheCodes Plus and React courses and recently I join Responsive course. Through this I understand current Tech world about website-application design and development. This course is incredibly useful and it's great to see the progress in building the app. It was challenging and fun at the same time. React is much easier to use and understand than VanillaJS, so I felt less overwhelmed in terms of notions and learnings. The lessons are well-structured and the Slack community is supportive in the case you feel stuck.
This course really challenged me compared to the previous two courses but I'm proud I made it through and I learned so much about React. The classes are easy to follow and I'm very happy that Slack is there is I ever get stuck on coding! :)
This workshop was awesome! I really enjoyed being able to expand my skills by learning React. I also liked being able to apply these skills to the already familiar project of the weather app. Having a community through the Slack was great in order to connect with others and ask questions.
SheCodes has become an outlet for me to learn and dive into the world of coding. After completing the SheCodes workshop, like many others, I was hooked! I continued on to SheCodes Plus which both challenged and humbled me but nonetheless made me want to keep pushing and learning. I am continuing my journey via SheCodes React and I'm excited and prepared for what's to come!!

As an alumni of SheCodes, SheCodes+ and SheCodes React I am feeling 100% confident about job searching with the skills I've gained in coding from the SheCodes programs. The React program was very difficult and rewarding. I would say that I definitely feel like there is more to learn, and I can see the potential that this language provides on the heels of JS Vanilla. Throughout my experience with SheCodes, I am more and more convinced that programming is a life skill.
I started my first SheCodes workshop back in August 2020 with no prior experience in coding. It's hard to imagine that I am now finishing my SheCodes React!!!🙌 I would recommend it to everyone. The workshop allows you to go at your own pace and to directly apply your newfound coding knowledge in interactive challenges/homeworks. Because of how amazing the workshop is built I manage to do it while working also as a nurse 👩🏻⚕️
