This is my third (and final) SheCodes course and I am sad it is over, but so glad I found it. These courses have really set me up with a solid interest in coding, a good foundation to troubleshoot and find solutions when I get stuck, and a great basic understanding of CSS, HTML, JS and JS React. Learning about DevOps and Github was really helpful, too. These are great courses that make coding so much more approachable and fun. João is so helpful and the SheCodes community is a great feature, too.
For a total beginner, this was a challenging but excellent introduction to the practical applications of html/css/javascript and professional workflows. Having access to the Slack channel was a great advantage as I could get help when I got stuck and never felt like I couldn't get past the bugs I encountered in my own code. I've finished my final project feeling inspired and ready to dive into the React and Responsive workshops and keep building my new knowledge and skills.
This was my third and maybe the most challenging workshop in SheCodes but it was totally worth it! These past few weeks have been packed with information and challenges that had occurred on the way. I am very glad I took React course because it brought the clarity and understanding even where I wasn't so sure before, after finishing previous courses. If you have no idea what coding is about, Matt and the support team from Slack would patiently guide you through it all :)
React was so much fun to learn, I now feel ready to build apps in React on my own. The course was well made (as all the other workshops here!) and I learned a lot. Would definitely recommend this workshop if you want to learn React!
Great course! There are definitely some pretty challenging parts, but I really enjoyed learning how to use React.
Really liked the course and i'm really motivated to keep going and do the Plus and the React one! I liked how the classes are made, simple and short to keep us focus, and always with an exercise to make us pratice and obtain better results. I enjoyed doing the final work a LOT. Thank you :)
I have greatly enjoyed learning to code and bringing together all the new skills learnt into the Weather App Project. I am excited to continue learning and get my teeth into the React course next!
SheCodes React was a great opportunity to practice and challenge the skills that I`ve learned in the previous workshops and take them a step further. This time in a new framework. The challenges helped me to understand the material better and advanced my coding knowledge. And when I stuck, it was comforting to know that I can get technical assistance. This course has really given me understanding of the opportunities that are out there! I will defiantly continue my education in React.

Although this course gave me some tips about how to find the information I will need to build an app, I don't feel I know enough to do it on my own. However, I enjoyed this React Workshop more than the JavaScript one.
I am so happy to have joined SheCodes Plus after finishing the workshop. I absolutely enjoyed it and I learnt so much. At times it was quite difficult but after all everything made sense to me and we got to create our own weather application that is fully functioning. Matt is a great teacher! I feel like I really understood the basics of front end development. I am so excited to continue with SheCodes React and to learn more. 😁👩💻
SheCodes React was an awesome experience! I have learned so much. The entire course is broken down into bitesize pieces, and the challenges at the end of each lesson are really helpful with practicing and reinforcing the content as you learn. The Plus course made me understand coding better and even though it wasn't easy, there were a lot of Aha moments and I feel more educated about coding. I can't wait to start the react one and then the responsive workshop.

I've been in IT for over 22 years now, on the technical support side. I then moved into software development release cycle and project management. It always interested me, what goes into fixing bugs and how I could make software better or write myself. I found this course through a friends recommendation on the free course. I loved it! I then went on to do the workshop. As soon as my project for the workshop has been given the green light, I will sign up for the SheCodes Plus and the React course. It is such an easy course to follow, the interaction and deadlines really make all the difference. Thank you SheCodes!
I always were fascinated about coding, but never got the courage to invest as I thought this was really hard and just for math experts. Thanks Matt and SheCodes I found that this is not true and coding is really fun and challenging as a really good game should be. For sure I will do the SheCodes Plus React!

SheCodes Plus was a challenge! This workshop taught me how to work through the frustration and celebrate all the victories along the way. I cannot wait until I start my React workshop.
Being able to learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with SheCodes has already improved my understanding of the coding world so much. I am a Software Development student and my program mostly focuses on Java and Python. I am so glad I found SheCodes and had the opportunity to learn these front-end development skills from someone like Matt. He is such a great teacher and I never thought I would enjoy it as much as I did. I am continuing on to the SheCodes+ and SheCodes React workshops too.
Not for the faint hearted but incredibly rewarding. Very pleased to have built a Weather App in React! The staff are incredibly supportive and the content structure continues to smoothly guide you through all the key components of the coding world.
Learning React was very challenging, but it ultimately was fun to learn something new and popular framework. Highly recommend.
SheCodes React was a great experiance which I happened to enjoy a lot. I found myselft facing some good challenges but I've got all the help I needed to surpass them. I would totally recomend this kind of course to everyone who wants to enter this developer world.

When I first joined SheCodes I was a new beginner. With the really instructive lessons and challenging homeworks it has been great fun to learn and develop in coding. I am looking forward to continue with SheCodes React!
From this course, I learnt not only how to code, but I gained great insights and tips on which programs, hosting sites, etc to use - something every beginner venturing into coding would find really useful. It was definitely a challenging course but the challenges and homework really helped me to comprehend things better. I also liked how I can read up other students' questions and problems on the SlackChat and learn further from the replies. Looking forward to starting the React course.
I stumbled upon the SheCodes workshops by accident, but it feels like it was the perfect opportunity at just the right time. I tentatively registered for the free class but was hopeful. I had no previous experience coding, and frankly, no clue what coding entailed. But after the free class, I immediately signed up for the first SheCodes Workshop. Between the lessons, community chat, and encouragement from Matt to do more research on the material we were learning- I was hooked! Coding never seemed accessible and so I never knew I would hold any interest in it. SheCodes took the intimidation, self-doubt, and mystery away. For the first time in quite a while, I'm excited to learn again and feel confident that SheCodes will help me develop new skills. I'm proud and excited to say that I am enrolling in the SheCodes Plus React workshop to continue my training!!

I started coding as a way to gain a new skill during the long days of lockdown. Coding has now become a passion of mine: I started with intro to coding and I am happy to announce that I just finished the React module! I am more than positive I will continue practising, learning and who knows maybe even turn it into a full time job. Thanks to Matt and the SheCodes team for supporting me in "developing" (😉) this new skill!
With no previous experience in coding and just a very basic knowledge of HTML, I was able to build a weather app from scratch! After SheCodes Workshop I've decided to continue with SheCodes Plus and I can't even describe all the things that I've learned: HTML, CSS, advanced JS, Bootstrap, API and web hosting. I'm a graphic designer and had basic knowledge of HTML & CSS. I've been interested in coding for a while. After the free intro class, I knew I had to register! Matt explains everything so well, I learned a lot from this workshop and loved how it was divided into manageable sections. The SheCodes community on Slack was great for support. This was a great way to start my journey in front-end development. I've been interested in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, but have found it difficult to learn with most online courses. I was pleasantly surprised by the teaching style, which is different from other courses I've tried. Not only was I taught how to write in these languages, but I was actively encouraged to find answers to my own questions and given the tools to do so. I would love to continue into the SheCodes Plus React workshop. My interest and curiosity has been captured! Thank you, SheCodes! 👩💻
SheCodes Plus were challenging workshops that demanded a lot of logical thinking and a lot of work but it was worth it! I managed to build a functional weather app from scratch and had a lot of fun in the process! It was a great experience trying to make it as functional and user-friendly as possible. I had some moments when I was stuck but as always I could count on the amazing SheCodes team to help me with every problem or doubt. SheCodes workshops gave me the motivation and courage to change my career and now I am starting my journey as a Junior Web Developer! I am so grateful to Matt, a truly amazing teacher who designed the lessons that are very well structured, straightforward and student-friendly. I can't think of a better way to explain coding. Now I can't wait to learn more with SheCodes React workshops!
The whole course of SheCodes Plus is a great starting point for all the coding beginners and maybe also for young specialists. I truly enjoyed it all the way, even though struggled at times. "For" loops, unit conversion, and 3h-forecast were my Everest 🏔. Nevertheless, I've made it to the very top and now getting ready for the new adventures with React 😱🥳 As for the SheCodes further development, I would love to work on more of such training projects, maybe on some different topics, with further functionalities. To my mind, this would help a lot to collect a pretty portfolio of projects for the students, as well as would serve as a powerful exercise to sort of automate all the gained knowledge :)
The React module of SheCodes is very exciting and challenging! Actually, the module I enjoyed the most: the lessons are rich with new tricks and knowledge and the challenges are more intense.
Just finished my SheCodes+ final project! This course was a great resource to learn HTML, CSS and Javascript. It was challenging, but the encouraging videos and the shared doubts and solutions in Slack really helped me to come through the process. I'm very excited to take the next step: enroll SheCodes React!
You know that song "Level up" ? That's just what Matt helps women do through the SheCodes workshops. I'm so glad i took the free coding workshop and that i had the will to embark on this magnificent journey. Now that i finished React Workshop i can honestly say i know more about coding than i ever thought i would. All that, without leaving my home and at my own pace. Loved the lessons and challenges and will definitely enroll in anything new SheCodes will launch.

Incredibly challenging and interesting learning experience to discover the fascinating (and frustrating) world of coding and front-end development. Video classes explain in detail each step to easily progress in HTML, CSS and Java Script and make this course highly recommendable for beginners. Looking forward to learning more in SheCodes React!
A great journey that I had in SheCodes! I finished my final project in React and I really loved it! I had zero knowledge in coding but thanks to SheCodes, now I have knowledge in coding. Coding is not easy indeed, although with the right classes, exercises and chat support will make it easy and SheCodes has those qualities. I highly recommend SheCodes because Coding is and will be the future in our world.
I never thought learning how to code can be so creative and rewarding. SheCodes React was an advanced challenge but after completing other SheCodes Workshops I felt very empowered and motivated to test my new skills and take them that little step further. Very grateful for having the ability to learn and advance my knowledge at the time that suited me and my busy lifestyle. Thank you to the whole team who are absolutely the best at what they do. Though the workshop was at times frustrating, I did learn a lot. I'm proud of the work I accomplished. My project goals were a little lofty for vanilla js, but I somehow made it work. 🤷🏾♀️ The only reason I gave 4/5 stars (it would have been 4.9/5 had the option been there) is because a lot of the content in the course material is a little outdated, but not so much so that it can't be dealt with. Overall, great class! I’m excited to enroll into SheCodes+ React and further my programming knowledge.
I've absolutely loved studying this workshop and never thought coding would be as fun as it has been. The format is excellent & the balance of supporting but also encouraging me to find out the answers on my own has helped me learned a lot in a short time. I'll be booking a space on SheCodes Plus React, asap.

Great way to learn React in a really practical and logical way through the creation of a weather app.
The React course was definitely a lot more difficult than the other SheCodes workshops. Matt always does a great job of explaining everything as simply as possible, but I definitely still struggled a bit to conceptualize React. I had to do some more outside studying to help understand the context and how to best make React work in my project. I also felt like with this course, sometimes it was better to watch several videos at a time before making changes, instead of adding changes for each video, as sometimes something would "click" better after seeing the connections between several steps/concepts. All in all, SheCodes React was by far the most challenging, and frustrating at times, but not impossible with determination and with the Slack community support.
The workshop was great learning experience. It was lot of fun to create my own weather app with HTML, CSS and Javascript and host it. Can't wait to start the React workshop.
Another fantastic workshop led by a great teacher! The final project has given me great insight on Javascript, React and API's. SheCodes is not your typical coding/web development course - you have to come up with solutions and not just copy and paste code. When you are really stuck there is great level of support on Slack.
The react course was very basic. I appreciate that the instructor wants us to have a solid react foundation but I personally would enjoy a more intermediate level of react as well as industry convention when it came to file compartmentalisation.
I have started to know SheCodes by doing the "SheCodes Workshop". I was so fascinated by it that I decided to do "SheCodes Plus React". I just finished my second course with them and I feel so empowered by everything I learned in here. SheCodes Plus is great if you are looking for a new challenge and you want to learn something new! The learning process is very clear and you can always go back and review some of the older concepts! Great course!Can't wait to start React!

These were such amazing courses! I loved learning step by step the "how to" in basic HTML, Javascript, and CSS to the intensity that came with the React application. It's been a wild ride, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Matt's way of teaching allows people to actually learn and absorb the information given.
So far this was the best programming experience related to front-end development. Matt is an amazing teacher, the videos are well made and very well explained. The support that we receive on slack is good and I was happy that I also could help another students with doubts. I'm excited to finish this workshop, to add this project to my portofolio for future references and also excited to join the last workshop: React. Thank you all for your efforts in teaching us the joys of frontal-end development. :)

I'm so glad I took a chance and did the first tier of workshops with SheCodes. It was a great way to learn as a semi-beginner in coding and it allowed me to add on to what I already knew slowly while learning new things. I'm considering taking the classes all the way to SheCodes Plus React in hopes of pivoting my career! Matt is a great instructor and having the slack channel as support was very helpful. I also liked that the courses are fluid enough to let you figure out solutions on your own. I appreciated that each lesson is bite-sized and the timing worked very well with my schedule and full-time job.

I took this workshop for the second time as prep for SheCodesPlus and SheCodesReact. It was as much fun as the first time. Loved the 100% online model. Looking forward to building on what I learned.

React was a challenge at times but it makes things so much more efficient in the end! I loved the experience of rebuilding my weather site using React components and will continue to play with it even after finishing the workshop.

I couldn't be happier with SheCodes. The speed of every class is perfect: Matt explains everything step by step, he makes very clear why each piece of code is important, and his classes are full of tips on how to clean it up and understand it when you read it again. They are divided by chapters with clear names, so you can always check it and have it right there whenever you have doubts about how you did it the first time. Class after class you can see your evolution and each time you can challenge yourself. In the moments in which I have felt that I couldn't do it (which surprisingly have been only a few), I always have known that I would find an answer either on the internet with the multiple tips and keywords that Matt suggested; in slack with other students who have had the same or very similar problem; or with João's help, as helpful as always!! I really really couldn't be happier! Next step: React!💪

The SheCodes+ React Workshop was truly eye-opening. Matt has framed these lessons in such a great way that of course, while still very challenging, I was able to learn and understand everything that was being taught or demonstrated. I would highlight recommend this to any woman looking to get into coding. I can't wait to start creating and coding on my own time and will miss this course for sure!
It's not a peace of cake to deal with as a beginner studying programming language specially with zero background. But getting in into this coding workshop brings and developed my new skills how to deal with it in a very friendly and concise way. All the way to React from the two previous coding workshop is a huge achievement for me. Thanks to all Shecodes staff for being so warmth helping every students when came across dealing difficulties on every coding exercises.
