Once again, Matt and his team have done an amazing job with delivering quality instruction. I have absolutely loved this journey so far. I am moving into the React workshop and I'm sad because I don't want these workshops to end!!
And with this final submission, I have completed all available SheCodes workshops! π₯²All previous SheCodes grads should take this responsive course. I'm taking all of the knowledge I've gotten from this course and I'm going to be going back through my previous projects from Plus and React and retooling them with the info I've gained through this workshop. As always, Matt explains things in a way that it's easy to understand and implement. If there are ever other SheCodes workshops in the future, I will definitely be taking those too.
I appreciate how well-organized all of the SheCodes workshops have been, and especially that I can work at my own pace. I feel proud of the things I've been able to create! However, I felt that SheCodes and SheCodes Plus were structured best, since we applied our learning to related (but not exact) challenges. With React, it was more like I would follow along and copy, though I could change the styling as I pleased. Still, I would recommend at least the first two workshops for those who are interested in trying out coding with little background to build upon.
Such an amazing journey it's been for me, from learning the fundamentals of Web Dev, to Vanilla JS and now React. After so many frustrating and expensive online tutorials and courses, SheCodes was a breath of fresh air for someone with no coding background like me. Matt is a fantastic teacher, he really knows his stuff! Every workshop is well designed and a lot of thought was put into these. Concepts are conveyed with examples and described in a simple and easy fashion, so you don't feel overwhelmed. The lessons are super easy to follow, and homework and projects are great to put everything into practice by yourself. Couldn't recommend more!
SheCodes Responsive was super informative! I loved learning more about Bootstrap, how to use Flexbox, and ways to make my sites responsive and SEO friendly. It's encouraged me to revisit previous projects and make updates that reflect what I've just learned. Looking forward to starting SheCodes React!
SheCodes React workshop has been intense and super fun. I surely want to learn more about JavaScript and React, but now I have same solid base to continue my journey into coding.
React has been more challenging than the previous workshops but still very fun and enriching. I have learnt a lot along the journey, feel much more confident and would love to keep working on new ideas to include in my portfolio. Thank you to the whole SheCodes team! It was hard to work on the projects but I learned so much about React! Super excited about the last course from SheCodes!
It is unbelievable that just through 3 courses I was able to code 2 amazing react applications (dictionary and weather app). I definitely highly recommend it to anyone who hesitates. Even though I have full-time study and two part-time jobs I was excited for every class and every homework that Matt gave us. What more, my new employer was impressed by my coding skilled and sees it as an advantage (even though my job is more marketing and data oriented than IT).

Learning how React works was very fun and interesting. The algorithms of loopings were quite new for me. The projects that are developed during the course are useful and fun, they are well guided and the developers have room for own investigation and creativity. Thank you!
I could never have imagined in just 4 months I would go from knowing literally nothing about writing code or front end development to coding an actual functioning app in React. I can't wait to see where my coding journey takes me next, and I will be forever grateful for Matt and the SheCodes community for this amazing platform and all the support that comes with it.
I really enjoyed getting to know react. the course is well built and very well maintained. The videos take you step by step giving all relevant information. I do wish the course was longer and had more react tools and gave more than just the base.
Taking the foundations built in both the first and second SheCodes courses, Matt deftly explained and applied the same concepts in React, showing both the extent of what we had learned and the complex applications of what we could now do. I feel much more confident in my ability to apply what I've learned in past courses and better able to approach the problem-solving aspects of coding, along with now having a solid understanding of the framework and capabilities of React.
I learned SO MUCH in this course and it was great to see it come to fruition in the form of a working weather app! Excited to continue building on my skills in SheCodes React!
The React workshop was by far the most challenging thing, but also the most fun part of my journey so far. It was full of hours of trying to do the same thing different ways and it failing, as well as the joys of finally figuring out what I wanted to do and having the rush of making a part of the app work well. I recommend this workshop to those that are fine with failing twenty to thirty times before succeeding, because you will hit many walls, at least I did. I will continue what I learned in React and will further hone my skills with other projects.
I started in the beginner workshop months ago. I have taken my time to complete SheCodes Plus. In the months since my last review of SheCodes, the available resources for students has dramatically improved. I love the new interactive cheat sheets available! Thank you, SheCodes, for providing the information and resources. I will be continuing on to complete both React and Responsive soon!
SheCodes React was challenging but so incredibly rewarding. I loved getting the opportunity to learn another aspect of coding. I hope to continue on this journey with coding. I know I have only touched the surface of coding but I'm incredibly happy and grateful to have started it with SheCodes. This was a great intro to JS and working with APIs! Pretty easy to follow, and challenging enough to be interesting. I had a lot of fun working on my final project, and I'm eager to learn more about React and responsive development now.

I will keep coming back for every course absolutely! having completed the Basic, Plus, React courses and now the Responsive, there was so much to learn and i am becoming more comfortable with coding, something I would have never attempted a year ago. I really LOVED taking the SheCodes React course! It gave me all the tools I needed to build an app from the beginning to the end, using everything I learned in SheCodes Basics and Plus, in addition to learning how to streamline all my code in React. I love this method of learning, with Matt's videos in which he explains and shows the whole process, and also the challenges and homeworks, that allowed me to practice and learn, and also prepared me to the final project. I'm looking forward to getting on SheCodes Responsive!
This course gave me a way better understanding on how react components are created and communicate with each other, than when I tried to learn React by myself. Even though some parts were tricky to follow, especially when a different API needs to be used than the one displayed in the course, I really enjoyed completing the challenges and both of the final projects.
I knew nothing about React before this course, and now I am a huge fan. As someone who tries to keep things organized, I liked the efficiency of building UI components into a huge library. I can see why more and more developers are using it! While this course was a challenge, it was one worth taking. I'm glad that SheCodes added a second project to this course because I felt more confident the second time around and I had a lot of fun creating it. I'm so proud to add two new projects to my portfolio.
After starting my coding adventure with SheCodes Basics I've decided to continue with SheCodes Plus and SheCodes React. It's impressive the amount of things I had the chance to learn. The module about React was definetely the most challenging but at the end I was so happy and proud to submit my 1st React app built from scratch with Matt's help.
My knowledge wouldn't had been this far without the react workshop! This is truly an eye-opener...
What can I say about SheCodes? I'm so grateful I ended up knowing them! SheCodes Plus has been extremely challenging but very rewarding. Not going to lie, it was a bit of a struggle for me to grasp how React works at first, but with each challenge, it all came together and actually became a lot of fun. I was so excited to see there was not one, but two projects to work on for this course. And as usual, the SlackChat provided a lot of support and help whenever I got a little stuck. Learning React has been such an adventure, I have really enjoyed all of the workshops that Matt created. I am probably like many people who tried to learn how to build a website by picking up bits and bobs of knowledge and examples of code here and there through various means including online tutorials. I really struggled with this approach and building something, like I had to for a couple of university projects, tended to be quite frustrating. With SheCodes I finally found a method to learn in a structured way where each step builds logically on the previous steps. Now that I have finished the basics course I can't wait to get on with SheCodes Plus and React π₯³π€

It was a great adventure to get through SheCodes React. I learnt a lot interesting and very useful things. Learning React it may be not the easiest but it shows a lot of new capabilities.

Definitively not easy as I thought. During this course I went through a few challenges but I am happy I didn't give up. I gain a more deep understanding on programing. Specially JS with the help of Matt Delac (our instructor) and JoΓ£o Lopes (our tech instructor) I was be able to build a app from scratch. I gain lot of knowledge and new techniques. This course was definitely challenging but I have learned so much in the past 8 weeks. It was explained step by step so that you can understand the code your writing. SheCodes does it again. Another great workshop. When I finished my React workshop and worked on other coding projects I really felt like my responsive design needed some work, so I was thrilled when this workshop got introduced. Matt [as always] is a fantastic teacher and this workshop has improved my skills as a designer of ten-folds.
Learning react from Matt was the best decision! It wasn't the easiest, but it was fun to learn. I learned how to find and solve problems throughout the workshop, and found myself enjoying doing it.
This is such an excellent workshop: Matt is a wonderful instructor who makes all these concepts really accessible. I've watched a lot of online React tutorials and no one else is quite as good. The support provided over Slack is also invaluable. If you're even remotely curious about development, you ought to sign up!

Wow! I can't believe it's been six weeks. Time flies when you are having fun. React is fun to learn and use. I like how Matt elaborates each process step by step and doesn't skip to introduce us to the basics first before jumping into the more complicated ones. A lot of things I learned from the Javascript workshop made a lot of sense after learning React. I can't wait to start the next workshop!
I really enjoyed the react course. The course was easy to follow and I learnt so much. I want to continue to learn coding as a hobby or for my future career. Who knows where I will end up having this useful skill:)

SheCodes Responsive guided me through the process of making a polished portfolio site that looks good on mobile. CSS media queries and flexbox took my designs to the next level. It was another great experience after doing Plus and React!

The coding in this course got a lot more difficult, but I found that I was able to retain the information a lot better than I thought I was able to when watching the videos. I highly recommend this course and I'm looking forward to the React workshop!
SheCodes gave me more understanding how coding works! Matt's lesson plans are easy to follow and include hands on learning. I have a full-time job and never thought I would be able to do any coding courses with my schedule. The lessons are at your own pace and Slack has been a lifesaver with everyone helping each other out. Looking forward moving to do Plus and React!
After finishing SheCodes Basics I knew for sure that I wanna continue learning how to code. I can't even believe where I got in just two months. From building simple landing page to actual working app with real data. I am so excited to move on to React and get even more out of the course. πͺπ»

What a ride this has been. I cannot believe I did it, I built an entire website app! It's crazy to look back to January, when my journey with SheCodes started and realize how far I have come, all the way from the intro workshop where everything was new and scary and amazing, all at the same time to today, finishing my project, delivering a fully functioning weather app. I am beyond grateful for this incredible experience, I feel SO accomplished. SheCodes opened up a path into a possible new career and I am looking forward to jump right in! Now it's time to get some well deserved rest and get readyyy to start the React course :)

Finally! I completed it in 8 weeks! Due to moving house+workloads+sick, I was "dragging" the lesson/homework around 2weeks. Luckily Matt's lessons are detailed and easy to follow up, and also thanks to JoΓ£o for helping me point out the error that I have made. (basic structure but you know sometimes you will miss it). Now I super excited to move to the next level React!
