React was quite challenging, but very valuable and fun to learn! I'll be looking forward to practicing these skills in the Add-on.
React has proven to be quite difficult to grasp, there is just so much to learn and this was only the tip of the iceberg. I felt like the project would have looked better if there was also a clip about how to do a full conversion to fahrenheit (not only the higlighted temp but also the forecast). I tried googling it but I haven't figured it out.
React is more simplified than Javascript. It has been fun learning how to code! Always learning something new.

I started the foundation because I wanted to know what coding was all about little did I know it would be one of my most favourite thing to do. I would spend majority of the time learning and coding because I enjoy it. The journey was beautiful, exciting and it empowered me and made me develop critical skills. Definitely a lot to take in with React and building the dictionary app, I was able to follow along for the majority of each lesson, but there were some parts that I still found confusing. Which I ended up taking time of my own to look up to try and gain a better understanding.

Unfortunately, the course was recorded a few years ago and hasn't been updated since, making it difficult to follow the steps and submit homework without asking questions on Slack about how to fix various problems.
Whew! This was a tough one. React made me look at coding in a different way and challenged me at every step. I learned how to overcome new obstacles and simply keep on keeping on. Big thanks to Matt and the rest of team SheCodes for always being here to support us!
React Add-on was defiantly my favorite workshop yet. Building this dictionary project put all of the skills i've learned to the test. From integrating the API's to using basic CSS styling. Having the interactive mini-projects have allowed me to fully grasp each lesson and build from scratch.

I have made it this far (pheww!). React challenged my coding skills I have learned thus far. Matt was able to walk me through each step of building the React Weather app. There were some hiccups along the way with the API information due to unexpected changes that could have been included in the learning videos. I relied on getting help from Slack and voila!

Brilliant module. This is when the penny finally dropped for me about why we have separate components in React. Chuffed to bits with my dictionary app! It isn't fully styled the way I'd leave it but I'm keen to get on with the course - I have built it and learnt how it works and that's great!

This is my 4th course with SheCodes and definitely it was the most challenging. However, now that I understand how React looks and works, it is really going to help me as a Product Owner, especially in larger companies. The lessons in this course rely on you being more independent than the others, which is not a bad thing! Thanks to the tutors in particular this time around, they really helped me with my bug fixing.
It's an interesting course, but it would be more interesting if we were creating a new app, but not similar to the JS course. But I can recommend it if you don't know anything about React.js
Highly recommend! The structure of the course is perfect. First becoming a little familiar with React before jumping into creating a React project in VSCode allowed for a smoother introduction to React. I liked that it was a similar project to the SheCodes Plus weather app but in React. This made the differences and possibilities of React much more noticeable and it made it easier for me to understand React and to apply it to other projects. Great course and I am excited to continue learning. :D

React framework is a energetic experience! It involves alot of attention to detail and organization. I enjoyed learning about components and learning useStates to create fully a functional weather&forecast application. React was a challenge for sure, and I did learn a lot and enjoyed the results at the end. I do want to point out (and that's the reason I'm not giving 5/5) that in this particular workshop (React) I felt that the lessons were taught with language and concepts that we haven't heard before but like we were familiar with them already, and I had to have Google and Youtube open separately and learn things there at the same time, which I felt should be included on the paid course. Othen than that, learned a lot.
This was a hard but I'm glad that I learned from react. This is a good project to learn.

When I first embarked on my journey to learn React, I was both excited and overwhelmed. Coming from a background with basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript knowledge, I knew I had a solid foundation, but React seemed like an entirely new world. The initial learning curve was steep. Concepts like state, props, and the virtual DOM were completely new to me. However, as I started building small projects, these concepts began to click. The "thinking in React" approach shifted my perspective on web development, emphasizing the importance of a unidirectional data flow and component hierarchy. Applying what I learned through building projects was crucial. My first project was a simple to-do list application. It was a perfect starter project because it covered the core concepts: state management, event handling, and component structuring. As I progressed, I tackled more complex projects, such as a weather app.
The React course wasnβt easy for me at the start, as challenging as it was promised. And now, having finished my project, Iβm totally satisfied with the level of understanding. I've done many courses and what I like about SheCodes is the balance of concept explanation and practice. It is really enjoyable to follow along if you are willing to try your own thing here and there. Especially with Python, I feel there are a lot of courses that don't actually make you feel like you are building something which can be discouraging for many people. If you did the JS/React courses, some concepts will be familiar and you probably will get it faster how to work with Python.
React is no joke. I would say this was the hardest weeks to learn overall. I had to look at other resources to grasp more of an understanding. Worth while none the less.

Really great course! Although I have found it quite a leap in terms of complexity; the React part of the course seems a lot more complicated than previous parts of the course so I haven't messed around with styling with this project as much as I would've liked for fear of breaking it all and never moving to the next bit!
A solid introduction to React, and lots of complex code to work through. Certainly a challenging course, some of the videos feel a bit out of date at times, but that's the nature of React, it's constantly evolving. Despite the complexity of the overall course, the material was explained well and was brought together with the project at the end.
