I had no experience prior to this workshop and felt too intimidated to get into coding. Through this workshop, I felt I was able to learn a good foundation and I enjoyed doing the challenges/hw. The videos were really easy to follow and understand. Even though I never had to ask directly for help, it was really eye-opening to go through the chat and see what different ways other people were going about assignments. I highly recommend this workshop :)

I highly enjoyed the responsive course - it was great to get creative and learn about all the different ways that you can create and style a page. The course also showed that making a website responsive is not as easy as I thought, and it was very interesting to learn different techniques of how you can make it as user-friendly and easy to navigate as possible. I would highly recommend this course, even if you do not want to do the actual programming yourself in your job but simply to get a better idea about the different elements of a website. I'm a bit sad that the third course is already done and now there is only one more to go!
I have complited the first, basic course from Delac Foundation, and i have got only a good impression ! It brought me a new experiences in the new area for me ! I would highly recommend SheCodes Basics Workshop. I really appreciated the learning videos and the assignments at the end of each lesson. I believe this is the best way to learn for me as there are different ways to absorb the information. I am now confident that I am able to use HTML, CSS and JavaScript to design beautiful webpages.

I completed the SheCodes Basics program with a working knowledge of basic HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I am able to create a basic, functioning, interactive webpage. I had tried a free coding camp previously but the content was not suited to my learning style, and they did not show us how to use actual coding tools such as VS Code and Colorzilla. I finished that course feeling more confused than when I started, online with SheCodes, where I actually learned useful things that I will be able to apply irl outside of the courses. The SheCodes course material is perfectly suited to my visual learning style, and being able to go back and reference the videos at any time, as well as work alongside them in real-time in VS Code, was extremely helpful. I feel confident in my knowledge and abilities. The Slack group is also an amazing resource and any question I asked was answered within an hour. There is a big sense of community and teamwork, and it is clear that everyone wants each other to succeed. I started the SheCodes Plus course this week and have already learned even more! What I really love about the experience is that I came into it not really knowing anything about computers, and thinking it would be hard to learn. However, Matt and the SheCodes team have created a program that is easy to learn, just the right amount of challenging, and most of all, fun! I will absolutely be recommending SheCodes to any woman in my life who may be interested in learning how to code. Its an amazing and extremely fun experience, and I cant wait to learn even more!

I enjoyed the basic SheCodes course and it really helped me to kick start my coding journey. Lectures are easy to follow, explanations are quite clear and the Slack chat is very useful when it comes to asking questions and getting support. They also provide learners with a lot of resources for projects, which is great. On the downside, I expected to get a deeper knowledge of JavaScript. That part was too basic and it felt like we could have gone a bit further. Apart from that, I loved everything else and I will definitely recommend this course to those looking for an introduction to coding.

I really liked the detailed description, step-by-step actions.Open access to the author's code, which allows you to quickly view. Managers help to solve basic questions. okay here's just my opinion. I honestly liked the shortness of the SheCodes workshop, it was an eye opener experience for me. I did appreciate the videos that were available, but I also had to spend some time having to learn things my own, by searching up how-to videos, and reading about new terms and techniques, which I have to admit, I wasn't thrilled about. I figured since we were paying to get into the workshop, the information would be taught to us, and not us having to teach ourselves at times. Of course, I can't be too upset with it because it was titled a basic workshop, so I should have probably guessed. I also felt like the project video demos were way more easy to follow along versus the challenge videos from week 1 and 2 (sidenote: week 2 seems a bit more easier than week 1, and it wasn't as over bearing, could just have been for me.) The week 3 (aka project) videos were completely step by step, and when I was doing my project, that's what I used to help me build it from scratch, instead of having to go back to look at week 1 and 2 challenge videos (if you're reading this without being in the workshop, it may not make sense, but it will if you do)! The videos from Week 1 and 2, I only knew what to do after I submitted my solution, and I saw the answer. I wished I just understood before from the learning video. I am quite happy that I was able to follow through with the workshop (finally! I had kept putting it off! :') When I finally did commit to the workshop, though, I had some basic knowledge of HTML that I believe helped me keep going. I do think if you're a beginner with no absolute knowledge of web development, you should try to know some before jumping into this workshop, especially if you're gonna pay. There are free beginner workshops online (way long, might be kinda boring too though), I would recommend watching some videos of Introduction to HTML/CSS/JAVASCRIPT, even reading some books (another sidenote: I bought a workbook to help with HTML/CSS, definitely helped me out.), then I would join SheCodes. It wasn't as overwhelming, because some of the words were familiar. Another piece of advice, the deadline can sneak up on you, especially if you have outside life going on, like work or school or whatever else that can take up your time. This workshop is like an online class, so keep that in mind when choosing your start date. Overall, I do appreciate this as a start up, and a push in the right direction. It really depends on your dedication, truthfully. It's a great tool, and I'm thankful for the opportunity. Also, its three weeks-one if you really wanna push it. Not bad.
This is a challenging course, but it really gives you a very good idea of what it entails to build a website using APIs and other sources. The team is very patient and understanding, whilst also encouraging you to keep on track and fulfill the different tasks. Very happy overall! Definitely recommend.

I was looking to enhance my professional skills and a colleague of mine recommended I start learning how to code. I was very skeptical, because I have absolutely no background training in coding!! But they were confident that I code learn if I put in the work. By the time I signed up for SheCodes and committed myself to the process, I became more optimistic in my ability to learn how to code. I love the direct and to the point lessons. Being able to complete the challenges immediately after learning the material is very helpful and seeing Matt work through the solution is great! I was nervous to start this process, but now I am eager to continue my coding journey!!
