I knew nothing about React, but I learned a lot from this. I went through the videos and built my site as we went. Then, I tried altering the source code from Matt and building it. I got awesome results and learned a ton both ways. I'd recommend building the app multiple times with different methods for the best results!
With no background knowledge of coding, I'm happy with how far I've come within these past 3 weeks. I now have basic knowledge about coding and can build a single-page website if need be all thanks to the SheCodes foundation. One of my favorite things about SheCodes, is the time and content management in sessions. the lessons just long enough to deliver the main idea; after which, you will be able to learn more by spending more time studying the extra references and examples, or keep going on with your current knowledge. The videos are short and sweet and to the point, but to the point and practical; so no more long boring tutorials, but also no more tutorials in which the instructor just doesn’t go through the important steps and leaves you with so many questions and Errors in your code. As someone with a full time job who is also pursuing a master’s degree, I especially recommend SheCodes and it’s method/system of education to people who struggle to find the time for learning. Also, I already had some coding base, and having seen some other courses and methods, I believe that THIS can be a great place to start for the absolute beginners.
SheCodes is really well structured, with short lessons and challenges after each lesson, it gives you the right pace and constance, keeping your attention span high and, mostly, your motivation to keep going and always want to learn more and more. No need to sit glued to your chair taking boring, hours-long lessons that get you nowhere... Coding is mostly PRACTICE and Matt knows it well, taking the education system to another level: smart, fun and productive, focusing on quality over quantity, as lessons are short but they give you ALL the tools you need to start coding on your own. SheCodes learning path is as simple as it is effective, and it is "programmed" for literally anyone. In only three weeks I was able to build a project which I really love and I am very proud of. And last but not least, the SheCodes Community is always there to whatever difficult you may encounter and is so supportive! Thank you SheCodes, I'd recommend it to anyone!

I only just recently graduated from university and found myself questioning what the next chapter for me is. I have been working with this program for three weeks . I was trained through She Codes but previously had no other training or exposure to coding .I would highly recommend visiting the She Codes before you enroll elsewhere. and they answers to all your questions and help you out.
SheCodes provided simple and easy to understand tools, demonstrations, and platforms to use to ensure my success. Each lesson is broken down into short tutorials which held my attention and made it easier for me to refer back to specific topics when I needed to. As a busy mother who has to stop and go throughout the day, I did not feel overwhelmed with the lessons and challenges and I was actually excited to learn more and more each day. Our instructor, Matt, also allows us to learn from our mistakes and get into the practice of breaking down and inspecting code, so we gain as much understanding as possible. 100% recommend to ANY busy mother or woman who wants to jump into tech!
It was a great opportunity to learn what coding is all about. It's not scary as I thought. SheCodes stood out from other online coding classes because of scheduled weekly classes, mini projects and deadlines. It forced myself to study even after work and I was proud of it. The work load was doable despite having a full time job. I would recommend the course to any beginners.

A great, challenging course! Matt is an excellent teacher - the material was concise and easy to understand. I loved how well-structured the course is and the focus on practical/hands-on experience. It also helped that the course is self-paced and very flexible. It was fun building a webpage and learning in a supportive community. The Slack thread helped a lot. I don't think I would have had the motivation and guidance to learn coding by myself, so I highly recommend this course.

This course was exciting! The best thing is that in the end, you'll be able to build your own weather app. Also, I've learned a lot of great and new things. This course really tested my analytical abilities. It took me quite a while to catch on during the Week 1 activities, and I was significantly frustrated by how slow I was at completing the tasks. Week 2 was much more enjoyable as I became more familiar with the process and with the coding languages. The final project was a lot of fun, as well as a lot of back-and-forth of tweaking things to get them to where I was satisfied with the end result. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who has an interest in understanding how webpages are constructed, and the creative possibilities this training can open up for you.

I have always been fascinated about coding , But either never had the time, thought it was impossible to learn at a short period or that it was time consuming. However to my greatest surprise when I heard about sheCodes from a tictoker, I enrolled immediately with the little money I had not knowing there was "sheCodes foundation" which I applied and my application was approved currently on the waiting list. I have gone ahead to finish the sheCodes basics and I am happy to have finished my project. though it wasn't an easy task juggling work and been a single mum but thank-God I did not give up. I have really enjoyed the Basic path and can only recommend it. Prior to joining the bootcamp, I already had a little HTML/CSS knowledge but had never had the opportunity to really use it toward something concrete. I enjoyed learning about Javascript and I honestly can't wait to jump to SheCodes + and learn more about it. SheCodes has figured out the right mix of 1. guided lessons and 2. freedom to explore and work on your skills on your own. The final project was super cool!

I really enjoyed React and building this new app, but it would be greater if we had more time to work and learn because it was very dense, especially for an add-on. I do recommend it!
I would recommend because I have not learned more in any class than I have in 3 weeks in this workshop. I loved that I got to learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in such short time. Matt made it very easy to understand. If any help was needed, slack was always there. However, I do feel that Matts explanation of the challenges and homeworks were more than enough to help you get an idea of how coding works.

I absolutely loved the Basics course. So much so, that I am ready to sign up for the next level. I loved the challenges, the homework, the learning. I have been wanting to do this for years and I finally decided it was time. The best part is that Matt doesn't show you how to do everything in the challenges, which really gives you a chance to problem solve on your own and figure out how to make it work. Absolutely loved it and recommend it for anyone and everyone.
